    Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
    physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
    medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
    During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
    and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
    services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
    will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
    services at the time you request them.
    They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
    however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
    services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
    be paid for by yourself.

This was the most exceptional holistic care I have come across. My mother has been unwell for a long time and came initially to try and rehabilitate her after breaking her hip and then she moved to palliative care. My father was also here after a fall and a broken ankle. The food has been exceptional,
and the care and compassion showed, even more outstanding. What I have found particularly unusual is that they treated both my parents as people, taking time to get to know both of them. My mother had so many things wrong with her and this was the first time that someone had looked at how she was overall and how all her conditions interacted. Very quickly, they realised she was palliative. When she passed, they treated her with dignity and with great compassion. The gardens are lovely and the common spaces too. But more importantly, the staff here are all warm and they genuinely care.

I would like to congratulate everybody at Isis House Care Home Oxford for organising the country and western BBQ. The manager and her team were brilliant, encouraging all to join in which they did. The lady singer was very good. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves, including myself. It was a most
enjoyable afternoon and the weather was good so was able to be outside. It was so nice for my husband to get our of his home, even if only 2-3 hours. Hopefully they will repeat it again.

I am very impressed with the wonderful care you are giving my friend. The Isis Care and Retirement Centre is amazing with beautiful food and accommodation. The activities are very varied and enjoyed by many of the residents. The gardens are particularly well maintained and extremely colourful. It is
obvious a lot of the time care and effort goes into making the Isis amazing.

This is the third time I have been here, and the care has been the best I could have received. The staff are incredible - the pace they work at is unbelievable, and most of the time is given with a smile on their faces, and all for a pittance of a wage.

Sometimes you only realise how good something is when it's not there anymore. This is certainly true of Isis house. The dedication and professionalism of the staff carried out in a quiet, gentle and relaxed atmosphere was a joy to behold. Nothing was too much for them. Even when under pressure, they
never let it show to the residents. Thank you to all the team. We will miss you.

Unfortunately, this is a difficult review to do because of Covid so I haven't really seen very much internally. I believe my husband is OK but with Parkinson's, it is difficult for him to show emotions. I would wish that there could be a home for Parkinson's people, as he is surrounded by residents
with dementia. He still has a working brain but not the body. Maybe staff could understand Parkinson's more.

Mum was first in Camelia wing after her discharge from the hospital and her experience there was lovely, calm, kind and with staff observing all Covid and other regulations and always attentive to her needs. Following her subsequent NHS discharge, she moved upstairs to Jasmine wing where again the nurses
and carers were great. All the family members who visited have great respect and gratitude for the work done by the team at Isis House.

A message for relatives and friends of temporary residents staying at Isis Care, under the NHS, in Camelia:-
If you want to visit someone, it is necessary to book an appointment well ahead, at least two days, and it has to be done using the reception phone number and in office hours. This information
is not accessible via the home's website and was only delivered to me gradually during a few phone calls.

Vilma

Vilma Collaku

Job Title: Home Manager

Vilma Collaku is the Home Manager at Isis Care Centre. She joined the Trust in 2010 and has worked in the care industry for over 10 years. Vilma started as a Carer and her hard work and determination has led her to become Home Manager. Vilma has a BSc in Nursing, Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Children and Young Peoples Services Adult Management and Level 5 in Leadership and Management.


The most rewarding part of Vilma’s role is being able to make a difference in residents’ lives. Allowing them to maintain their independence whilst they continue to take part in daily activities they enjoyed before moving into the home.


The reason Vilma chose the care industry for her career was to utilise her nursing degree, helping others has always been second nature to her.


Vilma has two special fond memories from her years working in care. The first was when her home took part in an Oxford University trial for a therapeutic robotic seal called ‘Paro’ which has proven to have positive effects on the lives of residents living with dementia. This was covered in the local press and now the Trust has purchased two Paro seals, thanks to the success of the trial. The second one was when Vilma took some of her residents to watch team members take part in a skydive to raise money for a minibus for the home.


In Vilma’s spare time, she enjoys gardening, going out for coffees, travelling, and spending time with family. She also enjoys a fast sports car!


Hannah

Hannah Hussain

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Joined: 2016

Hannah joined OSJCT in 2016 as a carer at Isis House Care Home, which gave her valuable insight into the care sector and confirmed her passion for a career in care. In 2018, she transitioned to an administrative assistant role, which she has now enjoyed for six years. She finds it fulfilling, as the role is always dynamic and offers opportunities for growth and development within the care sector.


Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also a professional makeup artist and loves helping others by doing their makeup.


Rachel

Rachel Smith

Job Title: Activities Coordinator

Joined: 2020

Rachel Smith, who joined the Trust in 2020, is an Activities Coordinator at Isis House. She had previously worked as an Estate Agent and wanted a change in career. Rachel loves bringing a smile to residents’ faces on a daily basis. Rachel feels her job is rewarding and challenging and goes home feeling she has made a difference to people’s lives. She said, “I love my job and I’m looking forward to spending many more years making a difference.”


Sirlene

Sirlene Heenan

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Joined: 2005

Sirlene began her career in the care sector as a carer at Glebe House in 2005 before transferring to Isis House in 2006. Over the years, she has developed a deep passion for providing the best possible care for the elderly, which aligns with OSJCT’s ethos. She has learned a great deal from the wisdom of the elderly and feels fortunate to have met many wonderful residents, as well as to have worked alongside dedicated and passionate colleagues.


In 2015, Sirlene became an administration assistant at Isis House, a role she enjoys for the regular contact it provides with residents and their families. Originally from Brazil with a professional background in banking, she moved to the UK in 2003 with her English husband.


Outside of work, Sirlene enjoys traveling, reading, walking in nature, and tending to her plants.
