    Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
    physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
    medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
    During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
    and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
    services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
    will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
    services at the time you request them.
    They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
    however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
    services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
    be paid for by yourself.

Isis Care and Retirement Centre is a wonderful establishment. The special care given by all the amazing staff and professionals is truly amazing. Food and catering for everyone's special needs is excellent and enjoyable too. We are so lucky to have this special home in Oxford.

The care at the Isis has been absolutely fantastic.
My mother has been so happy during her stay. All staff have been wonderful, so caring, compassionate and have treated my mother with 100% dignity.
The food has been excellent and has definitely contributed to my mother's recovery. The cleanliness
is 100% too around all of the home. I cannot recommend this home enough. It is a fabulous place with fabulous staff. We are 100% happy with everything.

Mum has dementia and is seriously ill. She is treated kindly and with dignity as she is nearing the end of life. All the staff are very good with the residents and mum has settled in very well. She was only placed at the beginning of December having moved from another similar care home. We are very
happy with the care she is receiving.

I looked after my mum for 9 years but when she deteriorated and needed nursing care she moved into the Isis Care Home approximately 5 months ago. This was not an easy decision but the staff were very supportive to me and Mum, putting into place everything we requested. They treat Mum with care, dignity
and are very kind; keeping me regularly updated on Mum's wellbeing when I phone or visit. Now I can finally relax and sleep at night knowing Mum has settled and is being well looked after.

I have visited at various times during the day and found all care staff to be friendly, helpful and informative.
The lady I visit has been very well looked after and seems to be happy. I have, on several occasion, heard carers talking, joking and laughing with clients, paying, compliments and showing
kindness and compassion. On these occasions, the carers have been unaware that I could hear them. In my opinion, this shows genuine care and concern.

Staff are very caring, flexible and efficient. They have coped with mothers disability in an efficient way with a great deal of understanding. Mother is taking part in a range of activities which she would never have considered at home. The family have been made very welcome during visiting times. Overall

The staff are lovely and caring.
Mum settled into the Isis family very well and quietly.
Mum has dementia but always said if she had to go into a home she wanted it to be Isis.

The staff worked extremely hard with gentle encouragement, good nutrition and careful progression from hospital to recovery.
Very pleasant ensuite room, activities provided in communal rooms, garden well cared for, hairdressing and laundry provided and excellent rehabilitation from the occupational
therapist and physiotherapists.

I am a volunteer at Isis and I go to support the residents to maintain their social skills. Every time I attend this home everyone is so welcoming, residents always seem to be happy and content and the manager is so helpful to support everyone. I can't fault this place and if I need a home, this would
be my home of choice.

Mum was moved from another home to here to be closer to family. I must admit when I arrived here I thought maybe it wasn't right for mum because it's bigger than the other home and mum wouldn't get the care she needs.
How wrong I was, it's the best thing we could have done for her. The whole place,
staff, facilities are amazing. The staff are so patient with mum and me.
I would like to say thank you to the manager who is always there to reassure me. She's very professional and caring and mum loves her.

Mum was here for several days convalescing and getting some confidence back after an episode of sepsis and a urinary infection.
On the Cornelia Ward, the staff were all lovely and very efficient, I knew in all confidence she would be fine in between my daily afternoon visits.

Vilma

Vilma Collaku

Job Title: Home Manager

Vilma Collaku is the Home Manager at Isis Care Centre. She joined the Trust in 2010 and has worked in the care industry for over 10 years. Vilma started as a Carer and her hard work and determination has led her to become Home Manager. Vilma has a BSc in Nursing, Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Children and Young Peoples Services Adult Management and Level 5 in Leadership and Management.


The most rewarding part of Vilma’s role is being able to make a difference in residents’ lives. Allowing them to maintain their independence whilst they continue to take part in daily activities they enjoyed before moving into the home.


The reason Vilma chose the care industry for her career was to utilise her nursing degree, helping others has always been second nature to her.


Vilma has two special fond memories from her years working in care. The first was when her home took part in an Oxford University trial for a therapeutic robotic seal called ‘Paro’ which has proven to have positive effects on the lives of residents living with dementia. This was covered in the local press and now the Trust has purchased two Paro seals, thanks to the success of the trial. The second one was when Vilma took some of her residents to watch team members take part in a skydive to raise money for a minibus for the home.


In Vilma’s spare time, she enjoys gardening, going out for coffees, travelling, and spending time with family. She also enjoys a fast sports car!


Hannah

Hannah Hussain

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Joined: 2016

Hannah joined OSJCT in 2016 as a carer at Isis House Care Home, which gave her valuable insight into the care sector and confirmed her passion for a career in care. In 2018, she transitioned to an administrative assistant role, which she has now enjoyed for six years. She finds it fulfilling, as the role is always dynamic and offers opportunities for growth and development within the care sector.


Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also a professional makeup artist and loves helping others by doing their makeup.


Rachel

Rachel Smith

Job Title: Activities Coordinator

Joined: 2020

Rachel Smith, who joined the Trust in 2020, is an Activities Coordinator at Isis House. She had previously worked as an Estate Agent and wanted a change in career. Rachel loves bringing a smile to residents’ faces on a daily basis. Rachel feels her job is rewarding and challenging and goes home feeling she has made a difference to people’s lives. She said, “I love my job and I’m looking forward to spending many more years making a difference.”


Sirlene

Sirlene Heenan

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Joined: 2005

Sirlene began her career in the care sector as a carer at Glebe House in 2005 before transferring to Isis House in 2006. Over the years, she has developed a deep passion for providing the best possible care for the elderly, which aligns with OSJCT’s ethos. She has learned a great deal from the wisdom of the elderly and feels fortunate to have met many wonderful residents, as well as to have worked alongside dedicated and passionate colleagues.


In 2015, Sirlene became an administration assistant at Isis House, a role she enjoys for the regular contact it provides with residents and their families. Originally from Brazil with a professional background in banking, she moved to the UK in 2003 with her English husband.


Outside of work, Sirlene enjoys traveling, reading, walking in nature, and tending to her plants.
