    Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
    physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
    medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
    During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
    and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
    services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
    will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
    services at the time you request them.
    They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
    however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
    services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
    be paid for by yourself.

I attended the home whilst my grandmother for Christmas day and had dinner. The dinner was lovely, the staff made a huge effort into making the day feel special for the residents and families, my grandparents thoroughly enjoyed the day thanks to the wonderful staff of Isis Honeysuckle in particular
as that is his landing.

The staff are always extremely kind and generous of spirit and their time. My mum is very well cared for and enjoys the activities and the food. For her birthday she had her friends visit with a cake. I was able to have lunch with her in the quiet lounge and the staff set us up a table. It was like
we were at home.

Staff are very kind and helpful and look after our mother with the utmost care and dignity.

I have been in the Isis Care Home on the nursing ward for three months, I find it very homely and comfortable. The home is set in nice gardens with a good bus service. The nursing staff are very friendly and professional and able to deal with an assessment of patients in a caring and understanding manner.
The food is excellent providing a first class menu full of variety and nourishment, highly appreciated. There are residents meetings monthly which the chef attends asking for likes and recommendations 10/10. There are two events organisers who provide an assortment of daily entertainment and interesting hobbies.

My wife has had Parkinson's for about 14 years. I received a phone call to say that my wife was not very well. In fact, she was completely out of it. When I got to the home she was in bed and the staff were doing all they could for her.
They were awaiting the doctor. She was made as comfortable as
possible. The doctor said she had an infection. The staff were so good, I have nothing but praise for them.

My mother stayed at the care home for six days after she left hospital as she had a previous accident and went to the Isis Care and Retirement Centre. We were delighted with the good care she had and cannot praise the care home enough.

I am writing this review on behalf of my wife who died in the Isis Care Home, Cornwallis Road, Oxford on the 23rd March.
She was there from 2nd March, having previously been there for six weeks in Spring 2016.
The standard of care offered and achieved at Isis we found, on both occasions, was exceptionally
good.
My wife deteriorated rapidly being very weak and frail (she was 86 years old), but the staff, despite the pressures on them, were most considerate and interested in her welfare.
My wife told me frequently how kind staff had been to her.
She died peacefully, lovingly cared for.

After a month in the hospital, I came to Isis Care Centre for rehab. I was very impressed with my room and facilities, also friendly staff and excellent food. I had lost so much weight in hospital and it was so nice to meet people for company. My daughter and son-in-law were able to visit often and
at any time as they live in Oxford.
Nurses took good care of me and the staff were very good.

It was a great relief to come here after three days in hospital. The room and facilities are very good. The staff are very pleasant and kind and show endless patience. A great deal of trouble is taken over meals. The choice is very good for people with enforced idleness. The medication service is excellent.
The physiotherapists are good at suggesting safe and sensible ways of getting going again. Finally, thank you!

Vilma

Vilma Collaku

Job Title: Home Manager

Vilma Collaku is the Home Manager at Isis Care Centre. She joined the Trust in 2010 and has worked in the care industry for over 10 years. Vilma started as a Carer and her hard work and determination has led her to become Home Manager. Vilma has a BSc in Nursing, Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Children and Young Peoples Services Adult Management and Level 5 in Leadership and Management.


The most rewarding part of Vilma’s role is being able to make a difference in residents’ lives. Allowing them to maintain their independence whilst they continue to take part in daily activities they enjoyed before moving into the home.


The reason Vilma chose the care industry for her career was to utilise her nursing degree, helping others has always been second nature to her.


Vilma has two special fond memories from her years working in care. The first was when her home took part in an Oxford University trial for a therapeutic robotic seal called ‘Paro’ which has proven to have positive effects on the lives of residents living with dementia. This was covered in the local press and now the Trust has purchased two Paro seals, thanks to the success of the trial. The second one was when Vilma took some of her residents to watch team members take part in a skydive to raise money for a minibus for the home.


In Vilma’s spare time, she enjoys gardening, going out for coffees, travelling, and spending time with family. She also enjoys a fast sports car!


Hannah

Hannah Hussain

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Joined: 2016

Hannah joined OSJCT in 2016 as a carer at Isis House Care Home, which gave her valuable insight into the care sector and confirmed her passion for a career in care. In 2018, she transitioned to an administrative assistant role, which she has now enjoyed for six years. She finds it fulfilling, as the role is always dynamic and offers opportunities for growth and development within the care sector.


Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also a professional makeup artist and loves helping others by doing their makeup.


Rachel

Rachel Smith

Job Title: Activities Coordinator

Joined: 2020

Rachel Smith, who joined the Trust in 2020, is an Activities Coordinator at Isis House. She had previously worked as an Estate Agent and wanted a change in career. Rachel loves bringing a smile to residents’ faces on a daily basis. Rachel feels her job is rewarding and challenging and goes home feeling she has made a difference to people’s lives. She said, “I love my job and I’m looking forward to spending many more years making a difference.”


Sirlene

Sirlene Heenan

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Joined: 2005

Sirlene began her career in the care sector as a carer at Glebe House in 2005 before transferring to Isis House in 2006. Over the years, she has developed a deep passion for providing the best possible care for the elderly, which aligns with OSJCT’s ethos. She has learned a great deal from the wisdom of the elderly and feels fortunate to have met many wonderful residents, as well as to have worked alongside dedicated and passionate colleagues.


In 2015, Sirlene became an administration assistant at Isis House, a role she enjoys for the regular contact it provides with residents and their families. Originally from Brazil with a professional background in banking, she moved to the UK in 2003 with her English husband.


Outside of work, Sirlene enjoys traveling, reading, walking in nature, and tending to her plants.
