    Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
    physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
    medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
    During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
    and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
    services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
    will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
    services at the time you request them.
    They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
    however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
    services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
    be paid for by yourself.

That was our first experience that we have used any service, But I am so pleased that all the staff, nurses, OT and everyone whom I met here are amazing throughout my father-in-laws stay here. He has been looked after so well and properly.

My mother moved into this care home about 8 months ago. She is extremely well looked after by all the staff. The manager is really nice and was very helpful right from the start. My mother cannot communicate well and does not know English very well so the manager suggested in making picture cards with
writing in my mother's language to help with communication- a really nice idea.
The care home are very good at communication - they send out newsletters to inform relatives of residents about events, meetings etc. They always phone me to update about my mothers condition, hospital appointments, changes in medication etc.
They always take into account my mothers needs- my mother has lost a lot of teeth and they always take the time to puree her food and feed her if necessary. Choice of food is good and they have a different meal every day.
The nurses on Jasmine are absolutely brilliant - they are approachable and inform me about everything. The receptionist is very friendly.
The appearance of the care home is really nice. It has a warm and homely feel. I like the "quiet rooms" they have outside each section. The care home was well decorated at Xmas time.
There is an enclosed garden in the centre of the care home something which was not present in my mother's earlier care home. My mother does tend to wander a lot so an enclosed garden is very safe.
They have great activities in the home. The activities coordinator is really nice and friendly. I was supposed fill in a form about my mother but instead sent it by email and she took the trouble to write out everything by hand which was very nice of her.
In my mother’s previous care home she would try to go up/down the stairs which was very dangerous. This is not a problem at the Isis - the doors to Jasmine are coded and additionally the doors to the stairs are coded.
I am really happy that my mother is in the Isis and I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering a care home. The carer’s and nurses are fabulous!

My mum needed somewhere to convalesce after being really poorly in hospital. The care she received in Camilla at Isis Court was outstanding. The team were excellent and really looked after her well. After 2 months away from home she is able to return home hopefully to a normal life. I would like to
thank everyone concerned with her care from social services to the care home itself. Many thanks.

My 86 year old mother was admitted to the Isis following a break in her ankle. She lives on her own with the help of myself and carers, and would not have managed with the cast on. She has now had the cast off and is undergoing physio to hopefully enable her to return home. The Isis has been great in
caring for her. They have kept me well informed about everything and she has been very content there. If there comes a time when she needs a permanent home care I would not hesitate to choose The Isis.

My dad has been at Isis Care Home in residential since Nov 2014. The staff are fantastic so caring and supportive in every way possible. They have a hard job looking after everyone but they always make time to listen to our concerns and act on them if needed. The activities staff are really wonderful
encouraging residents in every way. It feels more like a holiday home than a residential one. Well done!

I came to take my dad to the pirate summer BBQ, I also took my mum most people dressed up and it was a marvellous day. The music was great. The BBQ was delicious. It was a beautiful sunny day. So I took my dad outside in his chair, it was lovely to see his hair blowing in the lovely summer breeze. But
best of all was the fantastic entertainment team. Nothing was too much trouble, they knew all the residents names and were running around all day to give everyone a brilliant time.

Went to see my friend at Isis Nursing yesterday in there intermediate unit, they had a BBQ on, it was a pirate theme, All the staff were dressed in fancy dress, the residents were all singing to the entertainment. There was even a mickey mouse and bob the builder who went around the home. My friend
really enjoyed herself so did I.

Pm tea time round - often tea is warm only. Corridor is long, by the time it reaches my room it is cool.

Isis care home caters for eighty residents in units of 20 one unit on the ground floor is for people requiring care including early dementia, the second on the ground floor caters for transfers from hospital requiring further care prior to returning to the home intermediate care. The two units on the
second floor caters for residents requiring nursing care of various kind. All the units are secure and include dining room with a kitchenette, lounge and all necessary facilities. Each with single rooms includes en-suite. The rooms are furnished and can be added with personal furniture if required. There are electric points and telephone and tv "call points". There is much possibility for personal adaptations for a homely environment. Access to secure outdoors facilities is possible for waling in the well maintained garden. There is a summer house also. The activity care maintain a daily schedule for all willing to take part.

Vilma

Vilma Collaku

Job Title: Home Manager

Vilma Collaku is the Home Manager at Isis Care Centre. She joined the Trust in 2010 and has worked in the care industry for over 10 years. Vilma started as a Carer and her hard work and determination has led her to become Home Manager. Vilma has a BSc in Nursing, Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Children and Young Peoples Services Adult Management and Level 5 in Leadership and Management.


The most rewarding part of Vilma’s role is being able to make a difference in residents’ lives. Allowing them to maintain their independence whilst they continue to take part in daily activities they enjoyed before moving into the home.


The reason Vilma chose the care industry for her career was to utilise her nursing degree, helping others has always been second nature to her.


Vilma has two special fond memories from her years working in care. The first was when her home took part in an Oxford University trial for a therapeutic robotic seal called ‘Paro’ which has proven to have positive effects on the lives of residents living with dementia. This was covered in the local press and now the Trust has purchased two Paro seals, thanks to the success of the trial. The second one was when Vilma took some of her residents to watch team members take part in a skydive to raise money for a minibus for the home.


In Vilma’s spare time, she enjoys gardening, going out for coffees, travelling, and spending time with family. She also enjoys a fast sports car!


Hannah

Hannah Hussain

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Joined: 2016

Hannah joined OSJCT in 2016 as a carer at Isis House Care Home, which gave her valuable insight into the care sector and confirmed her passion for a career in care. In 2018, she transitioned to an administrative assistant role, which she has now enjoyed for six years. She finds it fulfilling, as the role is always dynamic and offers opportunities for growth and development within the care sector.


Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also a professional makeup artist and loves helping others by doing their makeup.


Rachel

Rachel Smith

Job Title: Activities Coordinator

Joined: 2020

Rachel Smith, who joined the Trust in 2020, is an Activities Coordinator at Isis House. She had previously worked as an Estate Agent and wanted a change in career. Rachel loves bringing a smile to residents’ faces on a daily basis. Rachel feels her job is rewarding and challenging and goes home feeling she has made a difference to people’s lives. She said, “I love my job and I’m looking forward to spending many more years making a difference.”


Sirlene

Sirlene Heenan

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Joined: 2005

Sirlene began her career in the care sector as a carer at Glebe House in 2005 before transferring to Isis House in 2006. Over the years, she has developed a deep passion for providing the best possible care for the elderly, which aligns with OSJCT’s ethos. She has learned a great deal from the wisdom of the elderly and feels fortunate to have met many wonderful residents, as well as to have worked alongside dedicated and passionate colleagues.


In 2015, Sirlene became an administration assistant at Isis House, a role she enjoys for the regular contact it provides with residents and their families. Originally from Brazil with a professional background in banking, she moved to the UK in 2003 with her English husband.


Outside of work, Sirlene enjoys traveling, reading, walking in nature, and tending to her plants.
