I came to St Katherine's House in September 2020 but knew St Katherines' well as my wife was resident in the nursing unit. Now I am residing in here as well. The service and care could not be better!

My Mum has been at St Katharine's for 4 years now. I have always been happy with the way she has been looked after.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They always have a chat with you and ask how you are.
From what I have seen of the food, it always looks good.
During the current pandemic,
the staff have gone above and beyond to keep the residents safe and well. The fact that they locked down earlier than a lot of other care homes and have not had one single case of Covid-19 speaks volumes.
The activities team have been amazing and have had some great ideas!

My mum has been looked after very well. I am very pleased with the care. I would recommend St Katherine's. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Her room is lovely and clean and tidy and has a lovely view.

Well my experience of this home is nothing but great, I have helped out for the past four to five years, maybe more. For most of the time I have helped with there summer fete, but this last few months with the home being in full lockdown, I have helped when they have put their hand out to ask if someone
could find XYZ for the home. And nine times out of ten I have found what they needed. As a home I am so pleased they have up to now stayed free of this virus. And hopefully will stay free. And when things change we can get back to helping more on-site. The staff are second to none, some of them think at times, more of the residents than their own health. Is this a good thing or a bad thing, I don’t know but I sure know they make everyone feel like family and treat everyone like family, be it staff, family members of the residents or the residents. The place is one big family, if I ever need to go into a home I hope I get a place like this.

Mum came to this home 3 months ago during the week of Lockdown. Her health was not good and she had dementia and was not the easiest resident to care for. She passed away this week. During her short stay there in extreme circumstances, I was able to speak to her on the phone and have Skype calls. She
seemed very content and said it was a lovely place, she also said the food was really good. The nurses and staff kept me well informed and were always polite and kind. I can only thank them for the care and attention they gave my mother.

Mum came in for respite just over a week ago. Has settled very well and is certainly enjoying the company of others and, by her account, the food which is both plentiful and of good quality. Plenty of activities to keep her occupied and entertained.

I would like to thank the staff at St Katharine's for their support and kindness during a difficult time. My father was in the hospital, and due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to assist him. The customer relations manager and her team were very helpful and practical. They arranged
Dad's transfer to the home while providing us with reassurance and up to date information. Dad has settled into the home well, and we can only praise St Katharine's staff for their dedication and help.

Your team are very caring. Mum's needs seem to be getting larger as she is no longer mobile. The food provided always looks very good. Mum has had a few falls and urine infections but they are dealt with as soon as possible. I am very happy with her being at St Katherine's House.

We got in touch with St Katherine's for respite care for Mum when she was extremely unwell with dehydration. They were extremely compassionate and helpful to us when we were in a situation that we were finding difficult to deal with. Every one of the staff has been so kind and caring toward Mum and
ourselves. We could not fault the care she is receiving and she is very happy there.

I honestly cannot thank all the staff enough. We were so worried about Mum going into a care home but they have not only cared for her, she has a new lease of life. She’s smiling again, she genuinely loves being there. On top of that, she has her dog with her too. They have made it feel like a family.
There is not one negative thing I can say. Thank you so much.

Great care is given to my grandad. Such a variety of activities that my grandad really enjoys, for example, day trips to Millets, Sea Side etc. All the staff are lovely and friendly always happy to help.

When visiting a very close friend with dementia, it is so comforting to meet such caring staff who always know who our friend is. Very cosy, friendly atmosphere and always a member of staff to call on. Only criticism would be the size of the room compared to other (more modern) care homes.

The care home manager and team, nursing staff, carers, cleaners at St Luke's are all very helpful they listen.
The laundry needs improving, the midday meal is ok but supper leaves a lot to be desired.

Seung Ping has been the manager of St Katharine’s Care Home since 2018. She aims to develop the team while transmitting Gold Care Homes's core values to each individual to build a strong foundation and continually improve the quality of care they provide.
