    These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
    utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
    snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
    housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
    home.


    Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
    physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
    medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
    During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
    and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
    services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
    will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
    services at the time you request them.
    They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
    however the fee attached to this is ÂŁ21 per hour. Where private taxi
    services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
    be paid for by yourself.

We attended my aunt's 100th birthday. We were made very welcome, the food provided by the home was excellent. All in all a very pleasant visit.

We visited because it was my Great Aunts 100th birthday. The staff gave us a warm welcome and made our family feel very warmly received. The buffet and refreshments provided were lovely and they even made me a vegan salad on top. Nothing was too much trouble and my Great-Aunt and all the family had

My friend was on the waiting list for 6 months. Regrettable but so worth it. 5 star home with excellent care and staff are good, kind and friendly to residents and visitors. Food is excellent and the home manager is very approachable and always happy to help and chat. This is how care homes should be.
Price in the medium range but the care is first class. This is a proactive care home with good quality volunteer group providing extras and company for residents. Staff who notice how residents are and report suggestions to management and/or friends and family so together, we can make residents lives as good as they can be.

We can not thank the staff at The Meadows, for the care, kindness and patience they showed our dad during his last months at The Meadows. He was always kept busy with activities, something different every day which meant he had a quality to his life that he would not have had should he have stayed at
home. He was safe, he enjoyed the food and nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff, you were always met with a friendly face whatever time of day you arrived. Sadly his illness took hold very quickly and he became low but the staff were persistent in keeping him active and joining in, he became very difficult but he was always treated with respect. Towards the end of his life, he was treated with such kindness and dignity, that meant a lot to us knowing he was never on his own. The staff kept us informed of how things were as the end drew near. He was peaceful and pain-free. We could not have asked for anymore. Thank you.

Although my mother was only a resident in the nursing wing of The Meadows for five months, she was treated in a caring and dignified manner by all the excellent nurses and carers staffing Primrose. Unfortunately, she did not choose to embrace the facilities and ethos of the home enough to enjoy her
time there, having made up her mind that she did not want to live any longer than her 97 years and despite the best care and attention of the staff seemed to give up on life and sadly died on 26th August 2016. The staff were a great comfort to me in the final weeks too.

The home has done a lot for me. When I came here I had the full sling hoist. I could not walk and I also had a catheter and I could not do much. Now I can walk with a frame. I do not have a catheter any more and can take an interest in lost of things especially activities.

Tobias

Tobias Matonhodze

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2008

Tobias Matonhodze has worked for the Trust for over 15 years in a variety of roles starting as a Carer at the Meadows and progressing through Care Leader and then Deputy Manager in sisters' homes. Has one of the most senior Deputy Managers in the Trust, Tobias supported other Homes, such as Chilterns Court, Langford View, Longlands and Stirling’s.


Tobias has completed his NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, and his level 5 Diploma in Care Home Management. Tobias also completed an Oxfordshire Leadership Development Programme that was sponsored by NHS Health Education England and Oxfordshire County Council.


Tobias likes cooking and is an avid sportsman, he goes to the Gym on a weekly basis and enjoys watching football, and he supports Manchester United, which causes some laughter and banter with residents.


Tobias strives to ensure that all of the residents are well cared for and are happy and content, he prides himself on being approachable and helpful wherever possible
