Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.
Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

My dad has been helping as a volunteer for some time now and he will continue with this, as the staff at The Meadows have become like extended family to him, and I have been enormously touched by the genuine affection they have shown for my dad over the years and by the support they have shown him through this awful time.

I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced problems lately with missing laundry. Unfortunately some of the clothes do not have labels and therefore sometimes it’s hard to find their owners. Next time you visit, I will take you to the laundry and we can have a look at the unclaimed items. I have mentioned the wet wipes and we will make sure that they are readily available at meal times. I have also discussed the boredom issue and will sit down with our Activities Coordinator to come up with a plan to see how we can include your wife more in the activities. If you wish to discuss anything in more detail, please come and see me or give me a call.

Tobias Matonhodze has worked for the Trust for over 15 years in a variety of roles starting as a Carer at the Meadows and progressing through Care Leader and then Deputy Manager in sisters' homes. Has one of the most senior Deputy Managers in the Trust, Tobias supported other Homes, such as Chilterns Court, Langford View, Longlands and Stirling’s.
Tobias has completed his NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, and his level 5 Diploma in Care Home Management. Tobias also completed an Oxfordshire Leadership Development Programme that was sponsored by NHS Health Education England and Oxfordshire County Council.
Tobias likes cooking and is an avid sportsman, he goes to the Gym on a weekly basis and enjoys watching football, and he supports Manchester United, which causes some laughter and banter with residents.
Tobias strives to ensure that all of the residents are well cared for and are happy and content, he prides himself on being approachable and helpful wherever possible
