Churchfields, rated Outstanding by the CQC in March 2020, is situated at the heart of the beautiful village of Cassington in West Oxfordshire, close to Eynsham and Witney.

Churchfields is part of the Premium Care group and offers residential, dementia, nursing and end of life care for older people, provided in a friendly, warm and loving environment.

Life at Churchfields is centred on its residents, but there are many people who contribute to making life at the home so unique and family, friends and the local community are included in daily life wherever possible.

Strong leadership and investment in excellent training are at the heart of the high-quality care on offer at Churchfields. All of the staff members are carefully selected for their sense of compassion, commitment and desire to work as part of a professional care team.

Churchfields Care Home was recommended to us for my father who has dementia. I have met the owner who is very impressive and passionate about the care her team offer residents. She is a strong leader supported by a dedicated team. My brother and I couldn’t be happier with how Dad has settled in and
the care and love he is being given. The care home is exactly that, a home and Dad loves it here.

The care my mother is receiving at Chursfields is absolutely wonderful. From her admission from a stay in the hospital, they have been kind, professional, compassionate and thoroughly mindful of her and our needs and emotions. She is now settled and enjoys the reassurance that comes with 24-hour care
whilst always being mindful of current restrictions. The staff have enabled her family to visit and maintained contact. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Churchfields run by capable and effective Management. Calm environment. Thorough in approach and standards. Good range of entertainments available.

I have only been treated with the utmost care from everyone since my admission. I've needed various treatments from several medical professionals, all given with care daily. The carers are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. The staff will all go the extra mile to ensure my comfort.

Churchfields provides exceptional care. All staff go out of their way to do the very best for residents, who are always treated with the utmost respect and dignity. There is a very happy atmosphere in the home, and lots of activities are arranged to keep residents alert and engaged. During this lockdown,
they have gone over and above to keep residents and family in touch. Mum requires nursing care, which is always of the highest standard, and she remains well and happy. Exceptional!

My father has been a resident at Churchfields for 15-months. During this time, I have been impressed by the care he has received. The staff are friendly, kind and patient. There are lots of activities to keep the residents stimulated and involved. During the Covid outbreak, I have been comforted in
the knowledge that Dad has been well cared for. Churchfields is a warm and welcoming care home, and I would fully recommend it.

The staff and management provide a high quality of care to Mum and are like her second family. Staff turnover is low, which means the staff are cheerful and makes mum happy as she has a consistency of care. At the height of the Covid outbreak, the staff were still proving excellent care, PPE was not
a problem and they got on top of testing really quickly and the communication was honest and regular, so we knew exactly what was going on. One of the staff even turned their hand to hairdressing and the activities have continued in a modified way during Covid to prevent mum from getting bored. The home does not feel like a care home, but like a hotel and the furnishings and facilities are lovely. Mum has everything that she wants there and her health, both mental and physical has improved greatly since moving in. The staff are so quick to pick up if mum is not feeling well, getting the nurse straight away. We are looking forward to spending time with mum on distanced visits soon.

I found the premises well appointed and welcoming. The interior was decorated to a high standard and very clean. A member of staff took me to my Uncle, who was enjoying a cup of tea. I was invited for a cup of tea. Very pleasing. We spent time talking and enjoying the beautiful view of the gardens.

I was very apprehensive about coming to Churchfields, but I didn't need to worry. I was warmly welcomed to this beautiful, pristinely clean place. I soon saw how much the staff care about each resident. Nothing is too much trouble and we are all treated with understanding and respect. The activities
are varied and enjoyable; the meals are wonderful; the setting is beautiful and spacious. When I leave here I shall miss everyone. They have become like family and Churchfields is 'home from home'.

I have found all the staff cheerful, helpful and friendly, they are also very hardworking. The chef's meals are really good, I've said when I go home I'd like to take home with me, his philo pastry is out of this world, also his shortbread biscuits etc. I have never tasted anything to touch his cooking
and I am 87 years old. I couldn't have had better care.

From the first contact to last, Churchfields gets it right. It is very well run and managed. Emails and calls are responded to promptly and when I visited it was easy to speak to nursing staff and discuss my father's condition. The home is bright, well maintained and simply a cheerful place to be. It
has had large-scale recent investment inside and out. But aside from this, it is the staff who make it. My father had remained living in his sheltered flat until his final admission to hospital, and all staff respected his wishes (including recognising his favourite shirt!) and maintained his dignity to the last. The end of life nursing care was in my view exemplary. Staff not only cared for my father but were consistently welcoming to me and my family. The home’s links to the local church were also important to us. My father and I attended a Father’s Day service in the home, along with other residents and their families, a few days before he died and it was a happy and joyful occasion.

I am deeply grateful to all the staff at Churchfields for the quality of care, attention and compassion they show towards my father. After four months of hospital/rehab my father was not in a good shape but after only five weeks at Churchfields he has really settled in well and has made significant
progress both mentally and physically in what is a relatively short space of time. They have helped him feel comfortable and have boosted his confidence so that he feels safe and is able to be more positive than he has been for a very long time. This is a place where I know he will be treated as a human being, not a commodity so I would not hesitate to recommend it.

It was the most difficult decision I have ever had to make to put my Mother in a home but her Doctor recommended Churchfields and I went to visit. It was clear from the start that this, privately run home, puts the residents before profit and on entering the premises it did not smell of overcooked cabbage
and other smells associated with old people's homes. The staff are very caring and treat the residents as individuals with respect and kindness. My Mother, a very private person, has slowly become accustomed to the ways of the home, enjoys the company and thinks the world of the staff.
