Churchfields, rated Outstanding by the CQC in March 2020, is situated at the heart of the beautiful village of Cassington in West Oxfordshire, close to Eynsham and Witney.

Churchfields is part of the Premium Care group and offers residential, dementia and nursing care for older people, provided in a friendly, warm and loving environment.

Life at Churchfields is centred on its residents, but there are many people who contribute to making life at the home so unique and family, friends and the local community are included in daily life wherever possible.

Strong leadership and investment in excellent training are at the heart of the high-quality care on offer at Churchfields. All of the staff members are carefully selected for their sense of compassion, commitment and desire to work as part of a professional care team.

My mum moved to Churchfields in November 2024, sadly for end of life care. One member of staff in particular and their team are brilliant, my mum's final days were filled with love, kindness and compassion. We can't thank the Churchfields team enough for all they did - both for my mum and for us as
family and friends, we felt fully supported at a very difficult time.
My mum spent respite time in several care homes during this year and, with hand on heart, I can say that the others weren't a patch on Churchfields. I only wish we'd been able to move her there sooner. We couldn't have asked for better care for mum. Thank you for everything.

I cannot praise Churchfields Nursing Home more highly. Every single person from the most senior to the most junior, treated my Mum with compassion, tenderness, and the utmost professionalism. It was a joy to behold at a difficult time.
The gardens, sitting rooms, bedrooms, and communion were so cheery
and the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming. Amazing service and care.

After a horrendous experience at another nursing home, I honestly believe Churchfields has saved my Dad. From day one he has been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The care here is second to none. Dad is very happy at Churchfields. He has told me the staff are lovely to him, which I 100%
see myself too. I now have peace of mind that Dad is being taken care of when I can't be there. Thank you to all of the staff for everything!

Our Mum moved to Churchfields in August 2023. From the very first day, we all felt extremely welcome and the surroundings were clean, homely, and beautifully presented. All staff were always warm, friendly and helpful. They work as a team and this gives the home a calm, family feel. The food was always
excellent with delicious homemade cakes in the afternoons! The standard of nursing care was always excellent and carers were dedicated and helpful. We couldn't have asked for better care for our lovely Mum and we can recommend wholeheartedly.

A close family member has been looked after at Churchfields for the last four months and every time I have visited I have had a welcome and warm reception from all of the staff. It seems a hive of activity with always something going on for the residents. My mother-in-law always looks happy, relaxed,
comfortable, and well cared for and nothing seems to be too much trouble for any of the staff. Everyone’s priority is the residents' well-being and we couldn’t have chosen a safer, more caring environment for my mother-in-law to have moved into.

My mother has been a resident twice at Churchfields, the first time was for two weeks restbite during the Christmas period. After the exceptional care she received during this time, there was no doubt in our minds when we were faced with choosing a palliative care provider that we would choose Churchfields.
The staff are like a family to each other and to the residents they care for. The compassion, love, time, patience, understanding, warmth, humility and comfort they all give on a daily basis, 24 hours a day is a credit to them all. My mother has found friendship, a confidant when she wants to talk through her situation, fun, laughter and made to feel part of the family by the staff at Churchfields. We can never thank them all enough for the unwavering and exceptional care constantly given to my mother at the most vulnerable time of her life. It has meant the world to her and us.

The care home looked after Mum so well and treated us all with great dignity as her health went downhill. Their communication was excellent and they made a real effort to include Mum in all activities, despite that being tricky, as they knew she liked to be with people. I think Churchfields really do
care for their residents and they have experienced so many different characters over the years that they are good at working out what works for each one. Activities are imaginative and fun and the new manager understands care well and has an open-door policy. Churchfields really does feel like “home” for people and they make friends as there are not too many residents.
Nursing staff on site makes this option very relaxing for relatives and they are such a lovely bunch and work so well with the local GP that it makes care easier. Both residents and relatives are listened to and involved in the home.

My mother moved into Churchfields care home from another care home which wasn't working out well for her.
Our experience at Churchfields could not be better.
All the staff have taken time to get to know and understand my mother, and she is now settled and much happier than she has been for a long
time.
She and I have been treated with respect and kindness by all who work there.
I could not recommend the home more highly.

My mother was at death's door in her old care home. After getting an emergency move, which took weeks, she finally got into Churchfields Care Home and with the care and attention she received is so much better and happier and so are we as we don’t have to worry about her anymore.

My grandmother was feeling very apprehensive about going to stay in a care home but the staff at Churchfields Care Home made her feel so welcome, her worries quickly disappeared.
The staff were always on hand to answer any questions and my grandmother thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the activities,
especially the pub quiz!

My mother has been a resident here for one month. I have found nothing but kindness and support for her. She is stronger than when in her bungalow; she was shaley and very slow at doing everything. She goes out from here tomorrow, 14.2.23, and if all goes well will cope at home. Thank you all.

Lots of ongoing activities taking place both within the home and in the wider community. Everyone seems very friendly and cheerful. The food is good and the staff are well trained and treat everyone with dignity.

My mother has severe dementia and many health problems and is immobile. Since coming to Churchfields she has blossomed. She is more responsive, so much happier and has been kept pain-free at all times. She is included in activities and is now mixing with other residents which hadn't been happening for
her in her previous home! The staff are just lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are really proactive. Her nursing care has been fantastic. Churchfields feels like home. So glad that we found them.

My husband entered the care home needing "end-of-life" care after a massive stroke. He needed every assistance possible and the marvellous staff gave it and more with the utmost care and compassion. My family and I stayed with my husband for the remainder of his days and were all treated so well: better

On December 20th 2021 it was my mum's 91st Birthday. With the help of all the team at Churchfields she was able to have a party in the hub so she could have her family around her at last. From then until her death on 5th January 2022 she was shown love and compassion from all the staff and her care
was outstanding even though sometimes she could be difficult especially when it came to the LFT test as she did not like that swab at all.

Churchfields is the most beautiful, caring home you could ever wish to have a much-loved family member living in. My mum was so loved and looked after. We knew that we didn't need to worry at all, as the staff treated her like their own family, from making a special birthday cake to taking her out for
little trips. My mum had dementia, and the staff all kept he occupied and engaged with her. The home was simply the best, and I cannot recommend it enough; it's fantastic.

Churchfields Care Home was recommended to us for my father who has dementia. I have met the owner who is very impressive and passionate about the care her team offer residents. She is a strong leader supported by a dedicated team. My brother and I couldn’t be happier with how Dad has settled in and
the care and love he is being given. The care home is exactly that, a home and Dad loves it here.
