We (all my family and visitors) have been extremely impressed with every aspect of the care and life experiences given to my Aunt. My mother spent the final three and a half years of her life in the beautiful surroundings of Rush Court Nursing Home and I am very glad she did. She was looked after with loving care and dignity. The staff are all amazingly kind and thoughtful and became like a family to her. A huge thank you to everyone

I was recently a resident at Rush Court. The manager came to the hospital to assess me and the whole process to admission was smooth. The room was well furnished, they even put a bird table outside my window. All the staff were caring and respectful and well-led and trained to a high standard. The manager
and her team ensured that everything was in place for my return home. I would have no hesitation in returning if ever I needed care. You could really feel that the staff cared for your every need.

I decided to spend a fortnight at Rush Court to recuperate after three sessions in hospital and three doses of chemotherapy. I wanted a buffer between hospital and home where I could be free of noise and disturbance and with a caring, helpful staff. Rush Court has been a boon for me, providing a peaceful,
well-heated, comfortable environment and I have been recovering fast in this sheltered environment.

I was in the nursing section, my room was excellent, well-appointed, clean a comfortable bed and recliner chair. There was a cloakroom attached. There were plenty of cupboards and a wardrobe. There was a door to the garden and view of bird feeders which were replenished every day. The gardens were delightful
excellent paths and plants. The staff were always efficient helpful and smiling.
The menus were good. The staff made every effort to involve the resident in the activities. I benefited from my stay.

My aunt was happy at Rush Court. She enjoyed the food and was happy with the staff. She enjoyed the food. I thought the additional cost for pedicures, manicures, toiletries and physiotherapy sessions were rather expensive bearing in mind the cost of the 'home'.

I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful care my mother received during the six months she was at Ruch Court. She was treated with kindness, understanding and dignity. I too was treated with such kindness, understanding and sensitivity. All the staff helped and supported me so much through the

After a stay in hospital, my aunt was diagnosed with advanced cancer, the prognosis was poor which necessitated palliative care through to the end of life.
The manager of the home struck a rapport with her during the assessment and this lasted through to the end due to their regular chats. My aunt
could be very strong-willed but also a little unworldly not an easy combination. We were very pleased with the treatment she received whilst in your care and were happy in the knowledge that she was as comfortable as possible during the later stages.
The communication with us was good despite the distance (emails, phone). We would recommend you to others and in fact, we have already done so.

From the first warm greeting at reception and well-maintained premises as well as a friendly atmosphere we knew we'd chosen the ideal home for dad from our first viewing. He settled in very quickly and all the staff from cleaners to management treated him with the utmost respect. Although he didn't
participate in activities there was plenty on offer. The public rooms and grounds are beautiful. The catering team provided an outstanding buffet for dads 95th Birthday party. All the staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble his last year was a very happy one.

A sensational care home. From top to bottom, the Manager runs an incredible home. Her senior staff down to the youngest care giver are the best. So kind and loving.

I have worked in Adult Social Care since the mid-1980s, starting out as Volunteer, and working my way up into Management in the early 1990s.


During my career, I have worked both within the Public & Private sector, managing services ranging from small group homes for young adults with a physical and/or learning disability to large Nursing & Residential Homes. Whilst my background is not in nursing, I have developed extensive knowledge & understanding of the clinical aspects of care.


I am passionate about supporting older people and providing the highest standards of care that are truly person-centred. I believe to achieve this comes from engaging individuals whose personal value base is aligned with that my own and the ethos of EFHL. I am committed to supporting my colleagues to develop themselves both personally & professionally through coaching, mentoring & training, and empowering them to be their best.
