An activities coordinator plans a busy schedule, though participation remains optional, allowing residents to take part in daily events in the home as well as frequent excursions beyond it.

We chose Mill House as a respite facility for our mother as it had been recommended to us for its wonderful family atmosphere. We are delighted by the warm, caring and helpful service my mother and we are receiving at Mill House. The staff have gone out of their way to make our mother feel welcome and
comfortable, patiently attending to all her needs.

As a family, we were very happy with Mill House. Friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. Very clean in the main house and the bedroom. Always tasty food available. Always good to come home after a hospital visit. Very attentive by all staff in the last few days. Thank you.

I can honestly say that I cannot fault Mill House for anything during the months that my father was there. Nothing was too much trouble, and the care they provided was outstanding. My father felt safe, loved and happy and with dignity - we couldn't have asked for more. I will miss the amazing carers,
nurses and staff who all do a fantastic job. I would highly recommend the nursing home to anyone.

My father was cared for by Mill House in Witney for 10 months before he succumbed to his illness. During that time the care and support was outstanding and he could not have been in a better place.
The staff from cleaner to manager to nurse made a difference. Nothing was too much trouble and they were
always there for him when he really needed them. he was always treated with dignity and the staff always had a great sense of humour and care that was just the tonic he needed. He was very happy there and the nurses were fantastic.

I would recommend Mill House in Witney to anyone who has a loved one that needs care.

My father has been in Mill House for 2/3 months and the staff have been excellent and the care exemplary. Unfortunately, his dementia has worsened and we are moving him to a dementia care home. However, the managers and staff have handled this transition both professionally and with considerable tact
and care, I would recommend them to any prospective family. The only issue is the building fabric which needs investigation but the quality of care consistently negates this for my family.

My dad only stayed in the home for a short while and died peacefully in his sleep there. All the staff were so kind and caring, not only to my dad but also to myself. His room was well-furnished, quiet and private. Registered nurses were on call 24/7 to ensure any needed medical attention.
I would
not hesitate to recommend Mill House and thank the staff for looking after my dad so very well and with compassion.

Mill House is a very friendly nursing home. It is very well run by a team who are present and front of house. All staff who work there are caring and helpful. The trained nursing team are professional and apply current knowledge to their patients who need a little more care. Nothing is too much trouble
for anyone who works there. My father was looked after by a lovely team of carers and domiciliary staff. Nobody passed his room without a friendly chat and words of encouragement. The outside to the main road doesn't reflect the warmth and standards of care inside. Some carpets need renewing.

I cannot recommend Mill House enough. Not only is everyone so friendly and warm, but nothing was too much trouble in terms of the help and support they gave us when we were trying desperately to get my aunty moved to Mill House from her previous home. The whole process was new to us and not without
its complications and stresses in terms of dealing with the council but the administrator especially went above and beyond to support and advise us with every step. In terms of the care provided, it is second to none. From the moment my aunty arrived we felt like we had her back again. We realised she had been unhappy for so long and suddenly she was back to herself upon arriving at Mill House. Everyone welcomed her and spent time with her, she was immediately included in the activities which she really enjoyed. The positive impact Mill House and everyone who works there has had upon my aunty in such a short time is incredible. Don’t hesitate to choose Mill House you won’t regret it.

My mum came into Mill House Care Home last year as end-of-life. The care she has been given and continues to receive has been exceptional and to everyone's surprise, my mum has improved tremendously. She still struggles with poor health from time to time but the improvement is so good and this is down
to the wonderful care she receives at Mill House. The staff are all so welcoming and seen to always find the time for everyone. My mum's needs always seem to be met and she tells everyone how much she loves it there and how lovely the staff are. They also have regular activities. I am so happy with my mum's care, it gives me complete peace of mind to know she's safe and happy.

My mother has been here since March, so far the care has been very good, the majority of the staff are wonderful. The activities coordinators have made me very welcome to attend some of the parties they've put on and they work very hard for the residents, even though most seem like they're not interested
they carry on and encourage everyone to join in.

Excellent care at all times, wonderful entertainment every day. Mother does more now than when she was at home. Staff always happy and smiley, always happy to help. Mother still goes to the garden centre, lovely hairdressers. Great to see Mum's hair looking nice. Thank you all.

I have been very happy with the care my husband has received at Mill House. The staff are very welcoming and go out of their way to help. They are very good at sorting out any problems as soon as possible. They always have a smile on their faces. They do an excellent job of trying to interest people

Nicki Bramble

Job Title: Home Manager

Nicki started working in Health and Social Care as a qualified Nurse in 1986. She worked on the Ophthalmology ward, ENT and ran outpatient clinics at St Georges Hospital in London. When Nicki moved to Oxfordshire, she worked as an agency nurse and discovered how much she enjoyed working in Nursing Homes. When she isn’t working, Nicki enjoys long country walks with her dogs, competitive cycling and climbing mountains such as Snowdon!
