Mill House is a Witney care and nursing accommodation set up in a renovated period home, where residents enjoy a modern care service with their own care packages and activities programme. The home provides residential and nursing care.

Together with attractive gardens and a conservatory, Mill House has its own library, offering residents a wide range of personal choice in terms of how they spend their days.

An activities coordinator plans a busy schedule, though participation remains optional, allowing residents to take part in daily events in the home as well as frequent excursions beyond it.

The dietary and cultural needs of service users are well-respected, with refreshments available throughout the day and night and carers making regular checks on residents' needs. Meals are prepared onsite by trained chefs who provide a varied daily menu. Special diets can be catered for.

Mum has been content at Mill House for two years since she first came here as a resident.
All staff have shown a caring and compassionate nature in their care of Mum and have encouraged her to engage in the daily activities.
Having nursing staff for 24 hours a day has provided us with the reassurance
that Mum is safe and well.

Would highly recommend this care home, the staff are so helpful, show care and empathy for this awful situation we are in due to Covid. My mum is happy which is the most important thing. The nursing staff phone with regular updates, the activities team make a real effort keeping in contact via FaceTime.
Even the chefs in the car park are able to make an effort to smile and talk. The administration staff have been absolutely wonderful helping with all paperwork.

Mum has had excellent service whilst at Mill House, the staff at every level have been great in dealing with everything, and really importantly helping me to understand what to do to make sure my mother is happy even down to helping me get the right newspapers delivered. I have really appreciated this
and I am thankful to them for this. Would highly recommend.

We were worried that mum wouldn't settle when she first moved in, however, everyone made her so welcome. Mum loves joining in the activities and gained her love for life back. Covid has made visiting difficult bu the staff have done an amazing job in keeping everyone safe.

My mother died at the Mill House on 9th May 2020.
You have something very special in Mill House Nursing Home. The staff have been outstanding in their care and kindness shown to my mother. She frequently mentioned this to me during my visits. As the home is a relatively small scale establishment,
there is a strong feeling of community. The cleaning staff are also kind and considerate, the food provided excellent. The office staff are dedicated, helpful and reliable. My mother had many favourites among the staff, with good reason. Despite her disability due to her earlier stroke, the carers and nursing staff played an important part in keeping up her spirits, treating her with dignity and good humour. Near the end of her life, I myself witnessed extra efforts that were made to make her as comfortable as possible. The nursing and personal care she received were exemplary; I cannot praise your wonderful staff highly enough.

My husband was transferred from hospital for end of life care at Mill House and the care he received was second to none. The staff at all levels were amazing - caring, yet professional. This care was also extended to me as I spend a lot of time at his bedside. Our family, when visiting their dad, were
also treated in the same way.

My aunt gets confused and forgetful but the activities and stimulation she gets are helping slow her decline. The staff are always kind and jolly. She is always given a choice but is encouraged to participate in events which are not always confined to the home.
The visits out stay in her mind.

Such a lovely place for my mum with lots going on. The carers are always polite and kind to both my mum and family members. She now eats extremely well with lots of choices on the menu. She loves the outings and the singers that are often in. I would highly recommend all the carers, management team

Friendly welcome. I was made to feel at ease with tea on arrival and was shown around. Excellent staff. Room option very helpful. Activities well explained. Meals explained. Overall top service. My mother was a resident at Mill House for 6 weeks and I have always found the management and staff very polite, friendly and courteous. Very good attention to detail and always observant and aware of needs. Keen sense of humour, laughter is plentiful a sound we love to hear. Mill House kept my mother

I was invited to a summer seaside themed party at Mill House which was arranged by the team. I would like to say how lovely it was seeing so many people there enjoying themselves. Great entertainer, the food was lovely and the decorations and all the little extras made it such a lovely day.

Nicki

Nicki Bramble

Job Title: Home Manager

Nicki started working in Health and Social Care as a qualified Nurse in 1986. She worked on the Ophthalmology ward, ENT and ran outpatient clinics at St Georges Hospital in London. When Nicki moved to Oxfordshire, she worked as an agency nurse and discovered how much she enjoyed working in Nursing Homes. When she isn’t working, Nicki enjoys long country walks with her dogs, competitive cycling and climbing mountains such as Snowdon!
