Mill House is a Witney care and nursing accommodation set up in a renovated period home, where residents enjoy a modern care service with their own care packages and activities programme. The home provides residential and nursing care.

Together with attractive gardens and a conservatory, Mill House has its own library, offering residents a wide range of personal choice in terms of how they spend their days.

An activities coordinator plans a busy schedule, though participation remains optional, allowing residents to take part in daily events in the home as well as frequent excursions beyond it.

The dietary and cultural needs of service users are well-respected, with refreshments available throughout the day and night and carers making regular checks on residents' needs. Meals are prepared onsite by trained chefs who provide a varied daily menu. Special diets can be catered for.

My mum spent the last three months of her life in Mill House after being diagnosed with cancer. Although she was very nervous about the move all the staff made her feel welcome and put her at ease. Throughout the time my mum was at Mill House she was treated with a high level of care and kindness, respect
and dignity on a daily basis. During the last two weeks of my mum's life I spent most of my time with her and other family members were frequently with her also. The staff could not do enough to support us and make us feel welcome. I am so pleased that I chose Mill House for my mum's end of life care and thank all who work there.

I came to Mill House Care Home from Yorkshire to be with my Mum and Grandma. From the start, I was extremely impressed by the service from the carers and nurses; nothing was too much trouble. Everyone showed compassion, love and genuine generosity. They went the extra mile with everyone who came
into the room. Everyone's job was done efficiently but with respect and sensitivity. I felt my Grandma was in good hands and everyone took their job seriously and put so much effort into their role. Thank you so much!!!

I am very happy with the care my aunt receives at Mill House the staff are friendly, the management are always on hand to discuss issues if needed and the overall atmosphere of the home is very good.

My mother was in Mill House for the last five weeks of her life. I must say I was impressed and pleased for her to receive the dignified care and attention she got in the home. The staff were polite, caring, attentive and accommodating. I don't think she could have been in a better place for her last
days.

Mill House took my dad in at short notice when my mum became to ill to care for him. He had advanced Parkinsons and needed complete care. All the staff in Mill House were amazing, they took the time to get to know dad even though he couldn't speak or do anything for himself and showed real care and
compassion in all their dealings with him. They also supported the whole family and especially my mum and were so sensitive and helpful when dad died. Food was unusually good for a care home environment. Happy to recommend Mill House to anyone.

Mum was admitted in somewhat of an emergency. It was fitting as my father had also been a resident for 2 months last year. I can't say enough about the staff. Extremely at tentative, respectful and genuine. I feel these are genuine caring people. We were offered a spare bed onsite during the final stages
to ensure we were there. The facilities and in particular my mum's room were very pleasant and the food was more than adequate. The whole place felt like home, and whilst my mothers stay was relatively short, she was very happy there.

My aunt was resident in Mill House for three and a half years, until her death on 13 January 2016. She reached the right old age of 92 years. When she entered the home she was not in a good state of health at all. She had been unable to care for herself properly for a very long time and had been in
denial regarding the need for more help. The Manager all her staff have been wonderful. They nursed her back to an acceptable state of health, sadly she was never going to return to the person we all knew and loved. All the staff showed such care and compassion along with a high degree of patience, as my aunt was not always the easiest of people to look after. When her time finally came, we were able to be with her. The staff were very caring and this resulted in my aunt being able to die with dignity, something she would probably not have been able to do, if she had been in her own home. If she had not agreed to enter the home in 2012 she would have died in 2012. She was very ill.
Although my aunt would not join in any of the communal activities, this was not for the want of trying by the staff. They did try on numerous occasions. She did enjoy having her hair done.
For someone who is in the same situation as my aunt, we would have no hesitation to recommend Mill House to anyone.
We cannot thank the Manager and all her staff enough.

Nicki

Nicki Bramble

Job Title: Home Manager

Nicki started working in Health and Social Care as a qualified Nurse in 1986. She worked on the Ophthalmology ward, ENT and ran outpatient clinics at St Georges Hospital in London. When Nicki moved to Oxfordshire, she worked as an agency nurse and discovered how much she enjoyed working in Nursing Homes. When she isn’t working, Nicki enjoys long country walks with her dogs, competitive cycling and climbing mountains such as Snowdon!
