Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1391 and for nursing care £1732, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.
*If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support, your weekly fee could be higher.

Thank you for your review and recommendation. We’re saddened to see your opinion of the management at the time. However, we now have a different manager in post and the home has recently achieved a ‘Good’ CQC rating in all outcomes including ‘well-led’.

Lauren welcomed the very first resident to Wantage when it opened its doors in 2008 and is the home's longest-serving member of staff.
"It’s more than a job, I feel like this home is my baby and I love being here,” she says. “I love looking after the residents and making a difference in their lives.
You see the residents every day and they become like a second family to you – you worry about them if they aren’t well, you care for them and you enjoy listening to their stories.
It feels so special to have been here from the beginning, I love being here and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!”

Our award-winning head chef Monica came third place in Sanctuary Care's annual MasterChef competition in 2022. Monica loves baking and makes delicious cakes and biscuits for afternoon tea. She also prides herself on creating stunning bespoke birthday cakes for our residents.

Food is very important to our residents - if I enter the dining room and see the residents smiling, then I am happy.
