Brownscombe Care Residences is nestled in the woodland of Haslemere overlooking Nutcombe Valley. It enjoys magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and is conveniently located close to the A3. It caters for residential, nursing and palliative care for up to 55 residents and aims to transform lives through high-quality care in a friendly, homely environment.

The residences include Brownscombe Nursing Home; established in 1984, an Edwardian country-house setting offering a choice of luxurious, single rooms, some with direct access to private patios and gardens. Each room comes with a multi-position, electric profiling bed, HD TV, private phoneline, Wi-Fi, and nurse attendant system. Set in its more than 3 acres of landscaped gardens, is the newly built Brownscombe Lodge, also providing a range of private en-suite bedrooms, complete with full wet room facilities.

The beautiful conservatory offers a relaxing retreat, looking out to alluring wisteria in the gardens, which is popular amongst residents for pursuing their gardening and outdoor activities. Residents also enjoy access to a choice of two lounges, a cinema, hair salon and nail bar. With a striking turret and hand-carved door from Nepal, Brownscombe bursts with character and its unique appearance is only enhanced by the beauty of the surrounding Surrey countryside.

Every day, meals are freshly prepared and individually tailored to residents' needs with the choice to eat in a welcoming bistro and dining room. Brownscombe Care provides a high-quality service in a friendly and homely environment, so all residents can live independently. Residents also have the opportunity to get involved with a range of mentally and physically stimulating activities, organised by the activity coordinator.

My mum stayed at the Brownscombe Care Residency for about four weeks on end of life care. In that time she was so well looked after by all the nursing staff, who were always on hand to deal with any questions I or any other members of our family had. When mum first arrived at the home she was amazed
at the facilities on offer like the cinema room and salon. As mum's health deteriorated she was always treated with care and dignity until she sadly passed away.

We were given this care home as one of three options on discharge from hospital after a stroke. It was definitely the best of the three. The management team is approachable and friendly and the care staff are gentle and caring. Any time there was an issue this could be discussed and corrected promptly.
The entertainment team are delightful and tries and keep people busy. The rooms vary in size, price and convenience for the communal areas, so you "pay your price".

My dad's stay with you was only a couple of weeks but in my opinion, he was well looked after and cared for.
I was very touched by a member of staff who when finished their shift checked on him. Saw he was not quite right and stayed with him until his last breath.

Mum has stayed at Brownscombe Care Residences a few times now and I think it feels like home for her. She adores the company of all the wonderful staff that look after her so very well. I travel a few times a year and I'm delighted that Mum is happy at Brownscombe when I'm away and I know that she is

You cared for my husband with care and compassion and he was a very sick man. I always thought that he was in safe hands with yourselves and the staff were wonderful with him. We were very lucky to obtain a place here and so close to home.

My mum moved in to Brownscombe Care Residences in early November 2024 with advanced vascular dementia. Sadly, she passed away yesterday. But my family are comforted by the fact she received such wonderful care during her short time at the home. All the staff were kind, empathetic and professional at
all times. They have always been so welcoming and accommodating to family and friends who have visited Mum. We could not have chosen a better nursing home for my mum to end her days in. Thank you Brownscombe.

From the very first there was a feeling that all the staff really did care about all the residents, as apposed to caring because they were supposed to. Not one single time did I visit my mother and not think she wasn't being looked after impeccably. She was looked after in a way quite impossible at
home, and it was never lost on me that the staff treated her as I would. It was reassuring that any issues there occasionally were (as indeed you would expect there to just occasionally be given the nature of a care home), were always addressed and resolved. I have nothing but praise for all the staff and would not hesitate to recommend the home to anyone needing to find a safe and caring environment for their loved ones should it become necessary. When my mother died she did so as peacefully as imaginable, and to the very end was cared for. The best I can say really is that 'care home' actually does apply, as the staff care and it does have a home feel.

My mother was a resident from March to August when she sadly passed away. The care she received at Brownscombe Care Residences was absolutely fabulous throughout her stay but the care she received in her last few days was so dignified and professional. The staff were very dedicated and their care and
compassion was very much appreciated by all of her family not only did they look after mum but us too making a very difficult time a little more bearable we will forever be grateful for all of their care and would highly recommend this home.

I visit Brownscombe most days and am greeted in a friendly manner by all staff.
I am pleased that concerns are listened to and acted on promptly. On some occasions, there is a delay when personal care is requested and sometimes my husband has not been shaved.
Activities have improved during the past
few months.
There have been few relatives meetings during the time of my husband's occupancy but I understand this will improve in future.

When my nan first came to Brownscombe Care Residences in April, after an experience we had at another place, we didn't know what to expect but we are very happy we found Brownscombe. They are all really amazing, everyone is so friendly and makes you feel so welcome. Before my nan came here, she was
in bed 24/7, she ow does a little walking and sits in a wheelchair and at a table and chair for meals. She is so happy here. Everyone takes the time to support her needs.

My sister is in the loving care of the Brownscombe Care Residences and I could not think of anywhere I would rather have her.
The home is beautiful and it has been a pleasure to see its development over the past couple of years.
The care, attention and dedication of the care staff is fantastic.

manager is approachable, friendly and quick to act with a real passion and love for the home that radiates.
The addition of the new clinical lead has been invaluable to my sister's care, he is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and supportive to both her needs and that of us, as a family.
