Cedar Court is a purpose-built care home for the elderly offering residential, nursing and dementia care over three separate floors. All floors has its own dining room, activities area and lounge.

The “home from home” feel at Cedar Court is created by the dedicated staff who have been selected not only for their professional ability but also for their commitment to truly making a difference for the people in their care.

Resident’s rooms are spacious and feature en-suite facilities. The communal areas are at the centre of what makes Cedar Court a real community whether it be at meal times or when enjoying activities. There are no fixed visiting hours so friends and family can come and see residents at any time.

Activities and day trips are an integral part of the resident’s well being. The activities coordinator encourages and helps residents continue with existing interests and also introduces new hobbies. The minibus is used frequently to take residents on day trips near and a little further from the home.

The dining experience at Cedar Court boasts fine home cooking by a professional chef who has created a menu to reflect the interests and tastes of the discerning residents.

Respite care at Cedar Court is very popular and enables those wishing to experience what the Home has to offer before making a full commitment.

Cedar Court is a very well run care home. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are kept clean and tidy and everyone seems to be well cared for. We would recommend the care home to others.

The quality of care at Cedar Court is excellent and the carers are like family members to us. New management has brought many improvements. We appreciate the effort and great care that goes into activity planning. Overall I would highly recommend Cedar Court.

In the last 6 months, the care home has greatly improved with a new manager, things are much better. Staff are happier and they are all doing a great job and residents seem to be more settled.

The room is sometimes not very clean and clothes are left lying around. The laundering of clothes could be improved and also my friend is very often wearing other residents' clothes.

I and my family were unhappy with the standard of care provided. My mother was unable to feed herself but there were no staff available to help her to eat. If family members did not do this then she went without. Mum died six weeks after being admitted. The reaction of the staff was to demand the removal
of her body as quickly as possible. Since then we have had no contact what so ever, no condolences and no refund of the care fees we paid in advance. Very poor.

My mother, an ex-nurse, reluctantly went into Cedar Court Care Home for a very short stay. As her time to leave was approaching, Christmas was coming up so she decided it would be better to leave afterwards. She liked being there so much she told me she wanted to stay there permanently. From a family's
point of view, it was lovely to see her so happy and well cared for, with lovely staff who she looked on as friends, good food and great activities which she thoroughly enjoys. She has now been there nearly 3 years and is still very happy.


Well done Cedar Court.

Quiet and calm atmosphere. Very efficient, friendly and helpful staff. Professionally managed.

What can I say? Words alone cannot describe the amazing quality of care my mother received at Cedar Court.
Everybody - the managers, the care assistants, the nurses, the activities providers, the receptionist, the odd job man, the cleaners, the cooks, – everybody was always smiling and willing to listen.
I was always welcomed and made to feel important. The staff had time for me and treated Mum like the special individual she was.
She was only a resident for a few months but was very happy during this time.
Mum was well looked after in every aspect. She was never neglected and all her needs were attended to. When she became bedridden the staff continued to give her loving care and frequently checked on her to make sure that she was ok.
She was always clean and presentable and treated with such dignity and compassion.
I know she was in the best place for care when Alzheimer’s cruelly took her away from the world.

My mother lived in Cedar Court Care Home for 16 months and she was cared for very well. Her room was lovely with large doors opening onto the garden, varied activities were offered every day, the staff were very kind, patient and caring and the manager knows the residents well.
The home allows residents
to personalise their rooms with their own furniture and pictures which was very important to Mum.
I was able to visit Mum for many hours every day and was always offered refreshments.
I recommend this home for both respite and residential stays.

We as a family have just celebrated our mothers 90th and we held a small tea party at the home. The manager came in on his day off to ensure all our family were shown to the lounge where we held the party, the chef provided the food and the staff ensured mum was ready even though she can be temperamental.
We had a fantastic day and although mum cannot remember it, it is a memory for the family. I have to say that since mum moved into the home two years ago, the home has been fantastic with all mums needs. The manager is an asset to the home, he has empathy and is compassionate and you can approach him on any concerns. I rate Cedar Court and the staff very highly and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for a care home for their relatives. Check out Cedar Court you won’t be disappointed!

As I approach my twilight years, and in view of some of the recent negative reports in the press about care home, I thought it prudent to check out homes in my area. I was no impressed with what I say until I went to Cedar Court Care Home on the edge of Cranleigh in Surrey. I decided to book in for
a few days respite to see if it was as good as it appeared.
The accommodation was spacious and well furnished with comfortable furniture including the en-suite wet room and toilet. The large windows have pleasant views over the gardens and country surroundings.
The management and staff were very helpful, pleasant and cheerful, in fact very caring at all times. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and residents can choose to eat in the restaurant, or the bistro coffee/tea shop or served in their room. I could not find any fault, in fact, it would not be stretching it too far to compare it with a five star hotel. When it is time for me to shuffle off this mortal coil I want to do it from Cedar Court Care Home.

I am very happy with Cedar Court taking care of my husband. The management team and staff are all fairly young. The home is managed in a friendly and efficient manner.

From my very first visit, when I called to inquire about a place for my mother-in-law, I was met by friendly and informative staff. When my mother-in-law moved into the home she was greeted by friendly staff who made her feel welcome. It is the caring and cheerful staff which make this home so special.

The care given to my mother in her last days was second to none. The home is extremely comfortable and up to date. The staff could not have been more caring and attentive. The consideration given to family and visitors was also wonderful. It was a great comfort to us to know Mum was looked after so

My sister has been a resident since about March 2003. She is extremely well cared for and is particularly grateful for the classes which she attends. The activities leader goes to tremendous trouble to find out what interests the residents have and then takes trouble to make sure he gives all these
activities which all the residents enjoy but they are not compulsory. The activities leader is, therefore, extremely popular with all the residents.

My uncle only came for respite after breaking a hip from a fall. His confidence and strength were at its lowest. The carers at Cedar Court were brilliant. A lot of activities to do and lovely food.
My uncle is now living in his own place with amazing confidence and the strength to look after himself.
