Generally, visits are allowed every day under normal circumstances. Families are requested to avoid the busiest time of the day, this being first thing in the morning and lunchtimes. The home do encourage families to call in advance to book a visiting time. They also request that if visitors have cold or flu like symptoms, please avoid visiting loved ones until feeling better and are symptoms free. The home appreciate visitors co-operation.

Please accept our apologies for the late response to your review for us, having read it now we couldn't agree more with you when we had Covid-19 spread in the house like wildfire. It was a very challenging time for our service but we managed to minimise the impact by getting on the vaccination programme very early to protect everyone. Of course, it was also very upsetting for the family members from all restricted visiting requirements but we were blessed with some very understanding families who supported us through these tough times. We are so happy that your mum received the best care we possibly could have given her and thank you for appreciating our staff effort who work diligently for us.

We usually endeavour to ensure that we meet all expectations from the family, despite our best effort we were unable to locate the reported missing items. It is our company’s policy for all SU’s and families to tell our senior team members to log all new and old properties on our care management system which keeps a log of all the items. Unfortunately, there was no logged record of these new items for this SU. This is very important part of our management system so that we can be held accountable. We are a specialist home caring for service users with moderate to advanced dementia and the challenges this entails. Unfortunately, like many services where bedroom doors cannot be locked, there may be occasions when items do go missing. Very often located a few days later without causing too much of an upset. On this occasion, we were simply unable to find these items which has not happened to us in the last five years of my service as a registered manager. We would like to extend our apologies.
