I am in a care home for the first time so my comments are based on what I have experienced here not versus any other care home.
I am, overall, very happy with all aspects of care received from carers, nursing staff, catering, housekeeping and management. The rooms are comfortable and maintained to
a high standard. I believe the building is now twenty-seven years old and some of the services are showing their age. Any problem is dealt with but re-occurrence is now happening with older equipment.

I was transferred to Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home at the end of December 2023 after a seven-and-a-half-month stay in hospital, following a viral meningitis attack which took away the use of my legs. As I was now a wheelchair user, my property was not suitable and needs to be sold to get a more
suitable home enabling me to lead a useful life contributing to society still.
My borough council found Corrina Lodge for me in respite care until this all happens. So I have been at the care home for four and a half months now, the food is excellent and there is a wide range of activities which I take part in, if of interest. I also run a quiz for fellow residents which is well received. Through my connections in the entertainment business, I also provided a magician last week for International Nurses Day, who was very well received. I am also trying to help the staff with promoting the home through my connections in the local area.

My sister-in-law has only recently moved into Corrina Lodge but I have been very impressed with the care that she is receiving. All the staff is very friendly and caring and there is a very happy atmosphere in the home. Everything I have asked for has been readily provided and she has settled in very

I highly recommend Corrina Lodge. Our dad is here, and we are very happy with the care he is receiving. The staff are caring, friendly and very welcoming. It is a home-from-home with home cooking. I talk to many residents when I visit, and all say they are very comfortable and happy here.

My mother moved here several months ago after losing her ability to walk or stand up unsupported. Under the care of the Corrina Lodge team, my mother is eating well, enjoying social events with other residents and is really happy living there. The team seem really helpful and happy. They are always
ready to help with enquiries or requests we ask for. Since being at Corrina Lodge, my mother seems to be relaxed, even having the occasional sherry and having her nails painted for the first time. A great place to live and be cared for.

I visited a friend and we had afternoon tea served in the dining room. It was a lovely treat with all the items you would expect: finger sandwiches, scotch egg, scones with butter, jam and cream, Eccles cake and chocolate cake, everything homemade, and as much tea and coffee as you could drink, there
was even a glass of Prosecco if you wished. The staff were very friendly throughout and made the afternoon a delightful occasion.

Finding the right care home for a loved one is always difficult. We had to find one for our father and looked around many in the area. We looked at one called Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home and we just felt at ease straight away, it felt like a home rather than a glorified hotel or hospital-type
setting.
We opted for Corrina Lodge and can honestly say we are so pleased we did. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them. We felt safe leaving our loved one there knowing they’d be well cared for. On our regular visits, we became friends with many of the staff and it felt like a home from home.
Our family was always made to feel welcome and we attended some of the events they held to let families be together there and enjoy an event, like Easter with egg hunts which the kids enjoyed immensely.
For anyone looking for a care home for a loved one, I’d really recommend booking a visit to Corrina Lodge and seeing what they have to offer and speaking to some of the amazing staff there.

My mum joined Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home in November. I looked at a number of nursing homes and so pleased we chose Corrina Lodge.
The manager and nursing staff always have time to speak with you and keep you updated on your loved one. All the staff are lovely, kind and caring. The activities
team work hard on keeping the residents busy.
It is also nice to walk in, have a cup of tea and piece of cake which is always available to the residents and visitors.

I have been resident at Corrina Lodge for coming up to four years now and can confirm that most things are ‘adequate’ but no more. Unfortunately, I have had trouble with the current manager, almost from when he started. He doesn’t seem to like answering questions about my care. I believe that he is
overworking the poor care staff, who daren’t complain because most don’t have English as a first language and are terrified of the sack. If anywhere ever needed an active trade union, it is Corrina Lodge. Now, that manager has decided to issue a 28 day eviction notice against me with no proven accusations. I’m sure none exist, I asked to install CCTV at my expense to prove my impeccable behaviour and eviction is the result. At Christmas too! Incidentally, I have multiple sclerosis, not dementia, but I don’t expect the manager cares what it is.

I was really pleased when I first visited Barchester Corrina Lodge Care Home, I was shown around by the administrator officer, introducing me to some of the staff and showing me some of the facilities available to the residents. Poor care, and lack of proper pain relief for 4 weeks after major surgery. My mum was walking with a zimmer frame before she got to Corina Lodge. She is hoisted everywhere and sits in a wheelchair all day. Don't know why they have comfy chairs in the lounge as everyone is in wheelchairs.
No attempt
to mobilise her.
They sedate her every night.
Really hate visiting my mum here, it really upsets me.

Had to put our mum into care, but very reluctantly. Only managed to see her in a very brief visit but impressed with the staff and care. Mum won't be able to take part in the activities but if she remains peaceful I will be happy.

I wish to give Corrina Lodge in Camberley a 5 star review purley on the dedication and compassion the staff played in the last 9 years of my mothers life ( Rosalind Moore ) All the nursing staff, the aids, caregivers and activities staff made my mother feel loved and so well cared for. My mother passed

My mum stayed for ten days in June while myself and my husband were on holiday. This is the second time she has stayed, and she thoroughly enjoys her time at Corrina Lodge. She likes having the residents to talk to, and all the staff are so kind, helpful and professional. She feels totally safe when
she is there. She has the newspaper every day and has her hair done - she says it is like home from home. The food is excellent, and she always tells everyone. I would recommend Corrina Lodge to anyone who has a much-loved relative that needs to stay. Thank you to all the staff.

My mother has been at Corrina Lodge for one month and she has settled in really well, we are so happy that Mum has been given the opportunity to make this her home. The staff are amazing, so friendly and made the transition for our family as seamless and easy as possible. My mother is happy and is given
as much attention or privacy as she wants. It is such a lovely feeling to know how much my mother is being cared for 24 hours a day.
There are so many activities and events at the care home and it is totally the residents' choice whether they join in or not. Even activities that family members can join in too, like the toddler group, which my daughter took her children along to and it was great for everyone to enjoy time together.
I am always kept informed about my mother, which is so kind and very helpful when this is all a new experience for us. Thank you so much to all the amazing team for your hard work and dedication.

My name is Marie. I am the Home Manager at Corrina Lodge. I look forward to welcoming you into our beautiful home.


I am an experienced, supportive, caring, and efficient leader with over 20 years of experience in the Health and Social Care sector and over 10 years in a management position.


I have worked in various Leadership and Management positions within the healthcare sector with extensive experience working in partnership with external stakeholders and managing large teams.


I have love and passion for leading a team and being supportive of my colleagues as well as the residents and their families. I have worked with several client groups and their needs include people with Complex Physical and Emotional needs, Mental Health needs, and Behaviours that challenge Epilepsy and Dementia. The skills and competence obtained from studying for a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care have enabled me to successfully plan, lead and implement change within a healthcare setting. I have a strong work ethic and I am proud to work in the care sector which has been recognised by NHS England and CQC who complimented me on my leadership style, determination, and commitment to implement change working as one team. I always put people first show kindness and still have the energy to love life and make it meaningful for myself and those in my care.


In my spare time, I train to run half marathons and raise money for local charities. I have a keen interest in current Care Standards, legislation and Innovation which includes– Person-centred Assessment and Care Planning, staff and carers training and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS), and designing and implementing Best Practice Guidelines for Older People and People who live with Dementia.

I graduated with a Bachelor Science in Nursing in the Philippines.
I came to UK on 2004 as a student and get my adaptation as RGN in UK.
Then I worked as RGN and then stepped up as Deputy within 3 yrs. Then I worked as Home Manager for 12 years. I support our Clinical Team to provide clinical guidance and knowledge to ensure excellent safe and excellent care.


I am really passionate with my job as to make a big difference to the lives of Elderly in the Care setting and to put a smile in their face at the end of each day.

My name is Jo and I am the home administrator here at Corrina Lodge Care Home.


My role involves supporting the General Manager by managing all the financial aspects within the home, HR, preparing contracts and general admin for the home. No two days are ever the same! It’s a very busy role, but one that I thoroughly enjoy. Each day is different.


My Accounting career spans over 30 years. Before joining Corrina Lodge I took a career break, to look after my Father. Whilst caring for my dad, I had to liaise closely with Rapid Repones teams /Social Workers and Local Authority to provide the care my dad needed at home, I was totally in awe of the level of care, support and dedication the home carers were providing to my dad as well my family.

Job Title: Head of Department

Michelle Llaguno RGN is our Head of Unit, she served for many years as our trainer, operational lead and Care Practitioner. She has been and still is an amazing role model for our younger staff of how far you can come at Corrina Lodge.
Michelle is an exceptional Nurse and a fantastic leader. She also writes all the care rotas for all the staff every week.

Sharon Rickman

Job Title: Head of Activities

Joined: 1997

Sharon has been at Corrina Lodge since July 1997 and is our longest serving staff member. She has been Head of Activity's twice and only relinquishing the role when she was raising her lovely children.
Sharon leads a very strong team of three coordinators supported by Gina and Alina. Sharon also now has quite a collection of volunteers and work experience students. Activities are huge at Corrina Lodge and Sharon thinks big and always follows through, we like to think that we give everything a try and the activity's that Sharon's team provide are incredibly well attended at Corrina Lodge.

Job Title: Residents Chairman

Joined: 2018

Hello, I’m Mark and I have been elected as Chairman of our Residents' Committee. The committee meets every two months and we make lifestyle choices for the home.


I’ve lived at Corrina Lodge since 2017, and I have had so much support with activities that it has engaged my interest in all sorts of ways. My interest in art has resurfaced and I now pursue this hobby actively. I also really enjoy taking photos around the home using my iPad, which get uploaded on to our TV in the reception area and are a great talking point for visitors.


As a spokesperson for our community, I enjoy helping others, welcoming visitors and getting involved with all aspects of life here at the home. I come from a very large family; I am one of nine siblings. My family and friends visit often and have recognised that living at Corrina Lodge has greatly enhanced my life.

Job Title: Care Practitioner

Hi, my name is Sherry and I have worked at Corrina for over 11 years. I started working as a carer, then progressed to senior carer and then ground floor team leader. I have recently achieved my qualification as a care pratitioner. I am really enjoying the challrnge and resposibility of my new role.
I am proud to be part of a brilliant team and personally pride myself on managing my floor, supporting residents in a person centred enviroment and ensuring the well being and happiness of those we support. I have also built up excellent relationships with residents family and friends.


Kathleen

Kathleen Foster

Job Title: Head Chef

Joined: 2021

My name is Kathleen and I have worked in the care sector all of my working life. I beleive I have a good understanding of our residents needs and always do my upmost to accomodate them.
I love to make home cooked dishes from scratch and always promote a nutritional diet. I enjoy cooking traditional dishes that residents can relate to and look as good as they taste.
On the naughty but nice side I pride myself on baking some delicious cakes and biscuits for residents to enjoy.
Nothing is too much trouble and I will always do my best to create a wondeful dining experience for the Corrina Community.
