I spent last Sunday afternoon at Corrina music fest. It was such a nice place with a great atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and made sure that everyone had a really good time.

They dealt with my request to have my dad brought in for urgent respite care with dignity and respect. They made me feel (in a very emotional and fraught time) welcome and that Dad was welcome too. Dad has settled in well and is enjoying the excellent food served by inventive and well-balanced dishes.
The nursing care is unbelievably wonderful with caring and kind staff at all levels. My dad is quite an introvert but he has become more involved in the activities provided by Corrina Lodge - but he loves the observatory where he can read and watch the birds in the garden in relative peace and quiet. All in all an excellently run care home with kind caring staff who always seem to be smiling. I'm very pleased that I managed to get my dad into Corrina Lodge.

Our late father spent the last 12 months of his time with us at Corina Lodge following a deterioration in his health. The home provided him with a safe and comfortable environment and, most importantly, access to 24-hour nursing care. We were kept well-informed throughout by the home and as a family,
we are immensely grateful for the first-class care he received.

My mum has been a resident at Corrina Lodge for nearly a year. The staff are all lovely, caring, kind and welcoming. Her nursing care has been excellent. There are regular activities - the team are great. There is a lovely atmosphere and we are so glad that Mum is here and so well cared for.

My auntie went to stay at Corrina Lodge for two weeks of respite care. She was treated extremely well, like part of an extended family. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. My auntie was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. The staff were always polite and cheerful and even knew each
resident by name. The chef organised for us all to share a delicious three-course meal in the conservatory. We would recommend Corrina Lodge.

When an elderly friend needed two weeks of respite care after an operation, Corrina Lodge was the perfect solution.
Despite arrangements needing to be made at short notice, they were able to sort out accommodation very quickly and the transition from hospital to the home was done smoothly and efficiently.
The
room was lovely, with access to the garden and very nicely furnished.
The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The manager, admin staff, and nursing staff were always welcoming, caring and quick to respond.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Corrina Lodge to anyone.

My husband has been at Corrina Lodge Care Home for sixteen months. He requires nursing care and has always been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The care is professional and consistent, with all aspects of medical requirements constantly monitored and updated. One of the comforting aspects
is that care staff turnover is minimal, which is very important for the wellbeing of the patients. This home is a caring, efficient unit with management encouraging that standards are maintained.

On arrival, greeted warmingly and invited to have a refreshment. My mother was comfortable sitting in her chair. All staff were friendly, kind and polite. The staff were attentive and communicative. Her room is comfortable with a door opening out into a garden. Food was varied and nutritious. Mum has
been in Corrina Lodge for about 2 years. Since then I have made friends with several staff members. They all work very hard and do what they can to make my mother comfortable. The only downside is Mum's room is a little smelly, the carpet is due to be changed soon.

I am very impressed with Corrina Lodge Care Home. You get a very warm welcome when you enter the home and there is a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are very cosy and have everything to make life comfortable. I visit a dear family friend who is very content and happy. The staff are very helpful
and nothing is too much trouble. Entertainment is very good and varied to suit everyone. My friend tells me the meals are excellent and she enjoys her meals. I've visited many local care homes and Corrins Lodge is the best by far.

When I first visited Corrina Lodge I was very warmly welcomed and shown where I could access coffee and cake. Having seen my stepmother, I also saw the lunch arrangements. Today, I was lucky enough to witness first-hand the afternoon activities involving music and quizzes. The organiser was bright and
bubbly and involved all the residents, who obviously adored her. It was joyous seeing the resident's reactions and obvious appreciation. Although my stepmother did not engage at the end, the lady stoked her hand kindly. What a delight to see and of the care being offered.

My daughter has been a resident of Barchester Corrina Lodge for ten years. As a family, we feel lucky that we found this home. Choosing a care home for a loved one is very daunting but we soon realised that Corrina is a family of staff who cares about their residents. They are treated with respect,
dignity and humour. Many of the staff who greeted us then are still working at Corrina now which tells its own story. All the staff are friendly and approachable, they cheer me up, I can't fault them. Always there to help and assist, my daughter is well cared for and above all, she is happy. Should I need to speak to our manager, his door is always open.

I believe the manager at Corrina Lodge Care Home is a good caring man who leads by example, this shines through to the staff at Corrona Lodge. Although things aren't always perfect, I feel the staff do the very best they can with the resources they have available. Most importantly I do feel my mum is

My name is Marie. I am the Home Manager at Corrina Lodge. I look forward to welcoming you into our beautiful home.


I am an experienced, supportive, caring, and efficient leader with over 20 years of experience in the Health and Social Care sector and over 10 years in a management position.


I have worked in various Leadership and Management positions within the healthcare sector with extensive experience working in partnership with external stakeholders and managing large teams.


I have love and passion for leading a team and being supportive of my colleagues as well as the residents and their families. I have worked with several client groups and their needs include people with Complex Physical and Emotional needs, Mental Health needs, and Behaviours that challenge Epilepsy and Dementia. The skills and competence obtained from studying for a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care have enabled me to successfully plan, lead and implement change within a healthcare setting. I have a strong work ethic and I am proud to work in the care sector which has been recognised by NHS England and CQC who complimented me on my leadership style, determination, and commitment to implement change working as one team. I always put people first show kindness and still have the energy to love life and make it meaningful for myself and those in my care.


In my spare time, I train to run half marathons and raise money for local charities. I have a keen interest in current Care Standards, legislation and Innovation which includes– Person-centred Assessment and Care Planning, staff and carers training and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS), and designing and implementing Best Practice Guidelines for Older People and People who live with Dementia.

My name is Cynthia, I am the Deputy Manager and the Clinical Lead at Corrina Lodge.


I graduated with a Bachelor Science in Nursing in the Philippines.
I came to UK on 2004 as a student and get my adaptation as RGN in UK.
Then I worked as RGN and then stepped up as Deputy within 3 yrs. Then I worked as Home Manager for 12 years. I support our Clinical Team to provide clinical guidance and knowledge to ensure excellent safe and excellent care.


I am really passionate with my job as to make a big difference to the lives of Elderly in the Care setting and to put a smile in their face at the end of each day.

Jo Gadher

Job Title: Administrator

My name is Jo and I am the home administrator here at Corrina Lodge Care Home.


My role involves supporting the General Manager by managing all the financial aspects within the home, HR, preparing contracts and general admin for the home. No two days are ever the same! It’s a very busy role, but one that I thoroughly enjoy. Each day is different.


My Accounting career spans over 30 years. Before joining Corrina Lodge I took a career break, to look after my Father. Whilst caring for my dad, I had to liaise closely with Rapid Repones teams /Social Workers and Local Authority to provide the care my dad needed at home, I was totally in awe of the level of care, support and dedication the home carers were providing to my dad as well my family.


When the time came to return back to work I knew 100% that I wanted to be in the care industry.

Michelle Llaguno RGN

Job Title: Head of Department

Michelle Llaguno RGN is our Head of Unit, she served for many years as our trainer, operational lead and Care Practitioner. She has been and still is an amazing role model for our younger staff of how far you can come at Corrina Lodge.
Michelle is an exceptional Nurse and a fantastic leader. She also writes all the care rotas for all the staff every week.

Sharon Rickman

Job Title: Head of Activities

Joined: 1997

Sharon has been at Corrina Lodge since July 1997 and is our longest serving staff member. She has been Head of Activity's twice and only relinquishing the role when she was raising her lovely children.
Sharon leads a very strong team of three coordinators supported by Gina and Alina. Sharon also now has quite a collection of volunteers and work experience students. Activities are huge at Corrina Lodge and Sharon thinks big and always follows through, we like to think that we give everything a try and the activity's that Sharon's team provide are incredibly well attended at Corrina Lodge.

Job Title: Residents Chairman

Joined: 2018

Hello, I’m Mark and I have been elected as Chairman of our Residents' Committee. The committee meets every two months and we make lifestyle choices for the home.


I’ve lived at Corrina Lodge since 2017, and I have had so much support with activities that it has engaged my interest in all sorts of ways. My interest in art has resurfaced and I now pursue this hobby actively. I also really enjoy taking photos around the home using my iPad, which get uploaded on to our TV in the reception area and are a great talking point for visitors.


As a spokesperson for our community, I enjoy helping others, welcoming visitors and getting involved with all aspects of life here at the home. I come from a very large family; I am one of nine siblings. My family and friends visit often and have recognised that living at Corrina Lodge has greatly enhanced my life.

Hi, my name is Sherry and I have worked at Corrina for over 11 years. I started working as a carer, then progressed to senior carer and then ground floor team leader. I have recently achieved my qualification as a care pratitioner. I am really enjoying the challrnge and resposibility of my new role.
I am proud to be part of a brilliant team and personally pride myself on managing my floor, supporting residents in a person centred enviroment and ensuring the well being and happiness of those we support. I have also built up excellent relationships with residents family and friends.

My name is Kathleen and I have worked in the care sector all of my working life. I beleive I have a good understanding of our residents needs and always do my upmost to accomodate them.

On the naughty but nice side I pride myself on baking some delicious cakes and biscuits for residents to enjoy.
