Generally, my mother has been very happy in Dene Place for the past 6 years. We are disappointed that the turnover of staff is so high - particularly the management post. If the permanent staff were paid more, there would be less need for agency staff.
The weekly cost for a resident is exorbitant.
Whilst I appreciate running costs are high - the quality of staff is paramount. They deserve much higher salaries.

My father has been at this nursing home since October 2016 and overall I am extremely happy with the service of care he is given. The staff are friendly and treat him with respect and kindness. The food is good and plentiful.

My mother has been a contented resident of this home for several years. The permanent staff treat her with great patience and kindness and it is a pity that the home is so reliant on agency staff who do not have time to become familiar with her likes and dislikes.

We are generally pleased. The only unfortunate occurrence has been my wife's hearing aid disappearance which now seems to have been corrected. Nothing bad otherwise.

There has been a noticeable decline in management over the last 2 years which now seems to be improving with corrective action appearing to be taken. The constant turnover of staff has also not been helpful. Previously, there was always a full-time nurse (acting matron) which gave good continuity of
medical care. This is now no longer the case and is a sauce of concern to the family. Overall, the individual care staff are kind and caring.

My father is very comfortable and very well looked after. All the family have the highest praise for all the staff - especially the nursing and caring staff who have the hands-on contact with the residents. Whenever the family visit, we notice the friendliness and genuine warmth of everyone.
