Holly Lodge is a dementia care home, offering tranquillity, luxury living and security for up to 60 residents living with dementia.

Winner of ‘Nursing Home of the Year’ at the Surrey Care Awards 2022 and featured in Knight Frank’s Luxury Care Home Guide for three years running; 2021, 2022 and 2023. It was described as ‘Heartwarming’ by Caring UK Award Judges and praised for their daily goal of making residents and relatives smile and putting the needs of people with dementia at the heart of the home.

Innovatively designed to enhance multi-sensory stimulation and encourage reminiscence, Holly Lodge accommodates people living with different types of dementia at every stage of their journey, offering both residential dementia care and nursing dementia care on a permanent and respite basis.

There are spacious, bright and homely communal areas for entertaining and dining, a dedicated activities room, on-site hair salon, pub, gallery, family room, cinema, and alcove lounges for residents and their loved ones to enjoy. Landscaped gardens provide outdoor spaces for relaxation, complete with a sensory garden.

Compassionate and experienced staff are trained in specialist dementia care, complementary therapies and on-site dedicated dementia care nurses 24-hours a day.

This ensures every resident is happy, secure, and fulfilled in their day-to-day life. The activities team prioritise resident wellbeing by organising a variety of meaningful and joyful group, individual and one-to-one activities and experiences. Activities are multi-sensory, designed to alleviate dementia symptoms; helping to improve concentration and communication, encouraging reminiscence and social interaction.

My father has been at Holly Lodge since March 2018, they are welcoming from the moment you go in the door. I have always found them very caring and knowledgable. The staff get to know the residents' preferences and treat them with dignity at all times. Nothing is too much trouble, from the management
team and every member of staff whatever their role. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and laundry is done on site. The food is very varied and alternatives available at every meal time. My father is eating more now and enjoying his food again. There is a varied programme of activities if the residents wish to join in. Holly Lodge has very well maintained gardens which are used regularly, residents, family and friends are welcome to use any time. My father is very settled and content at Holly Lodge and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others in similar circumstances.

Holly Lodge is welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. The staff are caring regarding helping to choose nice outfits, including jewellery and reading glasses, for my mum to wear. They bring her a newspaper each weekday. Her bedroom is always spotlessly clean and the decor is warm and cheerful. The
nurses are very well organized with any appointments such as regular doctors appointments, it takes the worry off the family. They consistently report back to us as needed, when we cannot attend. We have the same nursing team that we started in 2016, there is very low turnover. Our family are extremely grateful for excellent support when my father passed away (also at Holly Lodge) they gave us good advice at a difficult time.

The administration and invoicing have been efficient and caring, with no unexpected surprises, we are happy with that.

The staff are anxious to listen, and implement any agreed changes quickly, with good documentation into the Care Plan.

Holly Lodge is a very caring and professional nursing home and my mother has lived there for 6 years. She is treated with dignity, encouraged to join in the various activities provided to stimulate her and is happy in herself, as well as she can be with Alzheimer's. The food is cooked on the premises
and alternatives are offered if she won't eat from the daily menu. The laundry is processed on the premises too and the home is very clean. Holly Lodge is a purpose-built dementia nursing home and provides all she needs. The staff are very caring and deal with her moods, especially when she is being awkward or obstinate, and keep me informed of changes in her condition. I would definitely recommend Holly Lodge to anyone looking to find a good caring, professional nursing home for their family member.

My relative went to Holly Lodge about four years ago after a stroke and with serious dementia. She has some very challenging behaviour and we got to the point where she could not be managed in her own home any longer. The staff are very caring and do their best to give her as good a quality of life
as they can.
I did have a few concerns a couple of years ago about the level of agency staff being used and a dip in the activities. Recently I have noticed a distinct improvement back to where things were when we first chose Holly Lodge or even better. The gardens and home are always clean, I regularly see staff I know and despite some very challenging clients, they manage to make it a lively, caring and pleasant place to be.

A very welcoming home. All staff at all levels are very polite, are happy to engage in conversation and offer feedback freely.
Food is excellent, although portion sizes are rather large for most residents (just an observation).
I would like to see a bit more attention is taken to the resident notes
on their preferences on food, especially if they are not eating very well and other options could be offered.

The staff are very friendly and caring towards the residents. There are a variety of activities to engage each resident if they wish to take part. Each resident has their own care plan geared to their individual needs. There is also a wide selection of food at mealtimes.

Extremely caring, friendly, knowledgeable staff, from top to bottom. My mum always looks well and very clean. All problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Their communications with relatives have also improved and any incident or problem is quickly reported to me. Considering the terrible mental

I have visited my wife every afternoon for 2 years and found her very relaxed and we are able to sit together on a very nice sofa where we can have a nice cuddle, and although she sleeps some of the time she seems very contented. She also has a very well equipped room which is superb.

My father, aged 94 and with dementia is in Holly Lodge, which has proved a good care home in every aspect and is probably one of the best in Surrey. Having assessed many other care homes prior to his moving in, my brother and I feel that it probably cannot be bettered after visiting every week for 2
years. The home is clean, tidy, well run and with regular activities for the clients, added to which the caring staff and nurses compliment the welcoming administrator and manager.

My mother resided at Holly Lodge for two years and another Forest Care home for 12months prior to that.
I can only describe the care and support provided to my mother as excellent. The care team, beginning with the home manager and through senior staff to all carers, were first class. All aspects
of the home gave family members confidence, including medical care, meals and diet, all activities plus ensuring the family were informed and advised whenever an issue arose.
The homes interaction with other agencies, such as doctors surgery, local hospitals, the local council specialist teams was also first class. Even when my mother reached end of life care, palliative care, home staff were insistent that my mother came 'home' to be with friends.

Rico finished his degree of Business Administration Major in Management in 2001 in the Philippines. He has always worked in the care industry particularly with Dementia since 2006. Rico has also studied Health and Social Care NVQ level 3 and 4 and participated in various training and workshops related to care and Dementia.
Rico is very passionate about making a difference in the lives of our residents especially with Dementia and likes to be positive in approaching any challenges.

Bea is our talented Chef at Holly Lodge who ensures residents enjoy a varied menu focusing on the nutritional needs of our residents. Bea has over 10 years of experience working as Head Chef in the care sector.
