The friend I visited said that the nurses and carers are, for the most part, pleasant, but rush him in the morning and are harsh on his arm when standing him up. He also said they were considerably more careful with getting him up when I was present than when he was on his own.
Food is, for the most,
part good though he has mentioned the veg is often undercooked.
Enjoys events and would like more trips down to the town to eat.
Carers left foot rests up when reseating him, carers often look very rushed.

The person for whom I hold power of attorney has been in Knowle Park for 2 years. He is not an easy person to get on with and the staff have shown exemplary patience in dealing with him, They are kind and attentive and I am more than satisfied with the care he receives. There is a wide range of activities
to suit every taste but there is no compulsion to attend I can recommend Knowle Park with confidence.

A wonderful caring home. Mum has been looked after brilliantly and we couldn't be happier with the care she receives.
She is treated with dignity at all times. The home has a variety of activities and residents enjoy visits from local school children, musicians and even animals!

Our parents moved to Knowle Park about eight years ago when Dad became too ill to look after Mum himself. Dad had cancer and Mum had dementia. They had a lovely double room and for the last 7 months of his life, Dad concentrated on getting Mum settled without the continual worry and effort of running
a home, the cooking, cleaning and daily organisation that involved. Mum settled quickly and Dad received tender loving care until his death in 2015.
Gradually over the years, Mum became more and more frail, her health and memory slowly deteriorating. The staff at Knowle Park were always kind, considerate, and supportive, encouraging her to do what she could when she could.
We cannot thank everyone at Knowle Park enough for looking after our parents so very well, and the care and compassion shown to us in their last days.
We would recommend the home to anybody trying to select a care home for their relatives.

My mum has been here for over a year. I live in the USA and it's hard to be so far but I feel completely at peace with my mum here at Knowle Park. The place is beautiful, the ground, rooms so clean and above all the staff are quite lovely. So caring and kind and I'm so grateful for that. I feel they
totally care for the patients and have relationships with them. I have never seen this before. All so special I love the entertainment too. I appreciate Knowle Park. My mum is in good hands. Wonderful 100%.

The team at Knowle Park took fantastic care of my father during his final months, helping him (and us) face what was ahead in dignity and comfort. Their professionalism was only matched by their kindness and compassion. All the staff always took a personal interest in my father and the family and made
us all feel like individuals, not just service users. They always went the extra mile and always took the time to speak to us about the care. We really could not have asked for more!

The care to the whole family has been fantastic. From the start, we have had certainty for my fathers care which we desperately needed. The provider has been highly responsive at all times. Care is resident led and dignity is key throughout. Safety of my dad is paramount and respecting all his wishes
has been done. This is a palliative care resident who had deteriorated quickly and Knowle Park responded immediately.

Mum recently passed away at Knowle Park. My brother and I live at some distance from the home,e and the staff were wonderful at keeping us involved in her care. Mum was cared for so well and respected at all times - thank you. Above and beyond care at all times!

Our mother was a resident in Knowle Park Nursing Home for the last few months of her life. We have found the care and compassion of the staff exemplary. They are all well trained and respect the residents and their families. In these days of Covid-19 restrictions they are thorough and careful to protect
the home and those who live there, but always friendly as they do so. My mother was very happy in the home. She loved the social contact after months of lockdown and often the staff had time to chat to her. She had a garden room and loved the view of the flowers. Sometimes a member of staff would take her around in her wheelchair. In the summer we could meet Mum outside under a pagoda.
If we had been unable to be at her side in her last hours we had been assured that a member of staff would have been there with her. Thankfully we were with her for her last few days, our time was then unrestricted which we are grateful for. Thank you to you all. We will always remember your care. Even the funeral directors commented on the care of the staff.

As June was a month during the lockdown, and accurate across all areas review is difficult. Having an elderly, frail parent at Knowle Park during this difficult time, had been one less worry. I have had full confidence in the staff that the care of my mother has been done to the best of their ability.
Communication between my mother and I has been good, and updates very thorough. I believe the staff's handling of issues regarding the virus has been exemplary.

My family and I are so grateful for my husband being looked after at Knowle Park Nursing Home. Our judgements on some aspects are nil as visiting due to covid was not allowed. We could make very favourable judgements of his care and needs over the phone and get to know staff on facetime. His end of
life care was so well managed by highly trained and caring staff. Little consolation for the confusion and distress he experienced with lack of visitors.

My experience with Knowle Park was a relatively brief one as my father-in-law, having suffered a stroke, was relocated from hospital to the home during the Coronavirus outbreak. He was a resident for two months before he passed away. My wife and I (and our entire family) cannot thank the manager and
her staff more for their help during the most testing of circumstances. Although regular visits were not possible, they went great lengths to help us communicate with him by facetime until the end, which they ensured was peaceful and pain-free.

My wife was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease some 27 years ago and for the last 2.25 years has been resident at Knowle Park. Her daily care is not always easy to manage but she has received excellent care throughout her stay. All credit to the nursing and care staff, who together with the small
management team have maintained an efficient and caring routine especially during these last 10 weeks of the coronavirus pandemic.

Caroline Sears

Job Title: Home Manager

I originally trained as a nurse, before moving into management within care homes 20 years ago. I maintain my clinical knowledge by working with the clinical team and attending relevant training. I also have a master’s degree in human management.


I have the responsibility of overseeing and supporting the team to ensure the home runs in the best way possible to achieve outstanding customer service and quality of care. Also through my role as Home Manager, I support our residents and their relatives, which is one of the main reasons I love my work.


My biggest achievement was being a finalist for Manager of the Year in the Surrey Care Association awards. In my spare time, I enjoy singing with Rock Choir. I also do yoga and swimming and have done Ceroc dancing in the past, which I would like to start up again. I also enjoy walking and being in nature.


I have lived in Haslemere for 21 years and have an enjoyable cross-country route to get to Cranleigh. Cranleigh is a uniquely beautiful village with views of the Surrey Downs.
