Our Weekly Fee is based on the choice of bedroom and the personal care needs required. Before admission, a professional team member will assess to understand the support and care your loved one requires within the home. A personalised and tailored care plan will be created and monitored daily using our electronic care system. Included in Our Weekly Fee: Home staffed 24 hours a day Meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner), unlimited snacks and drinks Accommodation with bed & and bedding, towels, bedroom furniture, chair, curtains, lighting and individually controlled heating Laundering of bedding, towels, and personal clothing (except dry cleaning) Unrestricted use of communal areas Cleaning and decoration of rooms Maintenance of grounds and gardens Wi-Fi access Range of in-house activities and external outings (excluding admission fees, if applicable) Care and daily assistance in line with assessment. Prices quoted are based on permanent residency, per person per week for single occupancy. Prices are subject to an individual care needs assessment and the type of room and services chosen. Prices correct as of January 2025 but are subject to change.
Visiting times are flexible 7 days a week and visitors are encouraged to spend quality time with loved ones. All visitors must sign in and out of the home in the visitor's book in reception.
Ample on-site parking is available for convenience.

Our meals are homemade using local suppliers and we offer a daily menu to our residents and encourage them to make their own choices. We have snacks, cakes and sandwiches available 24 hours a day; should someone want a little something with their cup of tea, day or night. Our team have grown so much over the past year and the home is full of laughter and most importantly a good standard of person-centred care. Hello, thank you so much for your lovely review. We always appreciate the feedback and I will share it with the team. We have many different personalities in Moorhouse, they all make up our Moorhouse family. We listen to our resident's wishes and encourage all of our residents to have a meaningful life, in a multitude of ways. I have seen your mum up dancing (and I have the photos!). When the singer began to sing a particular song with a small amount of encouragement we had her up on her feet dancing with a great big smile on her face. Our food is home cooked and we always involve the residents and their likes and dislikes in the menu. We use local shops and suppliers as Ashberry Health Care's ethos is to keep our care homes in the centre of our community by engaging with and supporting our local shops and businesses. When our residents are happy: we are happy, thanks again.

The team are very committed to providing the best person-centred care they possibly can, by really getting to know our residents they can encourage and initiate conversations and can prompt past memories and bring back happy times and experiences. The team have had many types of dementia training, we are collaborating with many companies and we continue to seek new training to improve our skillset. We are focused on improving ourselves individually and as a team. We have recently bought new garden furniture and the residents love sitting out when the weather permits it. They have also planted seeds that are growing in our greenhouse, waiting to be planted out. Many thanks.

Many work 12-hour shifts and start the day smiling and at the end of the day still have big smiles on their faces. I frequently walk around Moorhouse and see the staff dancing and singing with residents, walking around the garden or sitting and talking with our residents. We deliver person-centred care with meaning, and recognise that the little things can make someone's day. Hello, thank you very much for your comments. We have worked really hard in the past year to get a caring and compassionate team, which we have. The home is cheerful and friendly at any time of the day or night. The team have taken on new training and continue to grow in their knowledge and skillset, which in turn constantly improves their performance. Many of the staff go the extra mile and bring small gifts for residents, and escort them on their days off work. They are all committed to ensuring our residents live a meaningful life at Moorhouse. Our activities are constantly changing and growing. At present our residents are enjoying time in the garden and have planted fruit trees and seeds for our extensive flower borders. We even had Zumba on the terrace on Friday, which they all enjoyed. We will continue to improve and are proud of our achievements. Thank you again for your support. Kind regards.

We work hard to ensure all of our residents' needs are met, even when those needs may change daily. We put the residents in the heart of our decision-making at Moorhouse, and encourage all residents to lead an active life, supported by the team. Our chefs make homemade meals, snacks and offer a wide choice through the day and night, the cakes and puddings are second to none! We ask the residents' preferences and choices daily, and the chef frequently gets tips from our residents on how to make a good cottage pie (each resident has a secret recipe!). Job Title: Maintenance Officer
I treat Moorhouse like it is my own home, I make sure everything throughout the home is in good order from the décor to the garden. I have been at Moorhouse for 24 years and feel part of a wonderful compassionate team who go above and beyond for our residents who have chosen Moorhouse as their home.
Job Title: Laundry Attendant
I have worked at Moorhouse for 24 years and could not think of a better place to work. I’ve had various roles within the home but now spend my time ensuring all the laundry is fresh and clean. I love talking and seeing the residents every day – I like to put a smile on their faces and make them laugh. The home has a great atmosphere, we are one happy family.
