Norfolk House in Weybridge, Surrey, is a purpose-designed care home providing personalised residential care, short-term respite care, expert nursing care and specialist dementia care for older people, including those with physical disabilities.

The home offers communal areas and facilities where residents can relax, socialise and carry on pursuing hobbies or discover new interests, including a hairdressing salon, library, reminiscence room and landscaped garden with a beautiful pergola.

Every resident’s room at Norfolk House is en-suite, tastefully decorated and includes comfortable furnishings. Residents are welcome to arrange their rooms however they wish, and can bring their own possessions to help them feel completely at home.

My Mother was a resident of Norfolk House for almost 7 years.
We have always been happy with her care. The staff have looked after her and taken care of all her needs exceptionally well.
As her care needs developed they upped their level of care. Always at a very high standard.
I think they helped
her to make it to the amazing age of 97!
She has recently passed away. And her end-of-life care was dealt with kindness and consideration for her and myself. (Her daughter).
Myself and my family have always been made to feel welcome at the home.

My experience with Norfolk house has been nothing but positive. The safety, communication, person-centred care, activities, cleanliness, facilities and food quality were all of an exceptional standard. The staff are well trained in all aspects and also genuinely compassionate kind and responsive. My
grandmother got to know and trust the staff who advocated for her and picked up signals very quickly if she became unwell. She thought the care home was her flat which just shows how safe and comfortable she felt. It was nice to be able to feel reassured she was being looked after so well. In particular, the end-of-life care to my grandma afforded her dignity, safety and comfort. In the last week of her life, I was there a lot the staff were very kind and caring towards myself and my grandmother. The care and support provided was consistently excellent the whole time.

My mother spent the last 18 months of her life here before she passed away. It was a great place for her. Norfolk House is extremely well-managed thanks to its great team of loving, caring and diligent staff. I can't thank these wonderful people enough for their care.

On arriving I find very poor parking for visitors and deliveries on entering I find the home very pleasing. The staff are so helpful. The food I find is very good. But sometimes not very warm. The choice is very good, also there is always a cup of tea on hand. My partner's room is okay but could have
a few pictures on the wall to brighten the room up. Overall experience is a pleasant experience to visit.

Unfortunately, there is not much else we can do to provide support with parking however, we do encourage the staff to park at the back of the building, so it allows the opportunity to maximise space for visitors. Regarding the food being served we do test the temperatures at the point of service. We hold ourselves to high standards at Care UK and I would like to reassure you that the Home Manager will be checking the food temperature records and observing the dining experience to ensure it's in line with Care UK policy. We are more than welcoming of family and visitors bringing in artwork that is recognisable to our residents as we want to ensure they feel they are at home as much as possible. We are more than supportive if you would like to bring in some photos to hang up in the room to brighten it up. If you do not have any photos, please can I encourage you to speak with the Home Manager who will be more than happy to support in purchasing some pictures with your agreement. The end-of-life care for my (step) father-in-law was at a high level. The first-floor staff, both day and night, were kind, attentive and went above board to make sure he was always comfortable and they maintained his dignity at all times. The care and consideration for the family going through a hard
time watching a loved one deteriorate was also so wonderful - many cups of tea were offered!

My partner with Parkinson's, Dementia and other ailments was admitted from hospital, like a living corpse - within 5 days he was back on his feet, a bit wobbly and eating and drinking. Without exception, the staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for him. I would not be able to look after him with
that amount of care and compassion and occasionally humour! I am satisfied and grateful for the care he gets. There is no worry in my mind that he is in the best place.

My partner became a resident at Norfolk House in December 2020 at the height of COVID. For the past 3 and a half years he has been cared for with compassion and dignity. All his needs are met as far as they can be with his dementia. Whether it be medical, general care and welfare plus his diet. I have
had no reason to make a formal complaint. The atmosphere in the home is lovely and I do not feel depressed when entering.

My family and I are so pleased with the care provided at Norfolk House. The staff are so kind and thoughtful and have made the transition from home to a care home so much easier for us as a family and for our father. Norfolk house is clean and tidy and the facilities provided for residents are lovely.
The whole day feels relaxed but well organised. Staff are always around and take care of everyone there. I think the staff and their attitude is the area that we are the most impressed with. They are kind and caring with all the residents and seem to go above and beyond what is expected. Even behind the scenes in terms of administration has also been fantastic.
Communication has been brilliant and assistance with the paperwork is spot on. I would recommend Norfolk House to anyone I know. I can honestly say that I enjoy visiting.

My wife has been a resident at Norfolk since September 2023. The choice of home was initially made for closeness to our home in Addlestone, but we soon realised we had made the right choice anyway. The standard of care, both nursing and activities, and all other facilities, is excellent. The hospitality
given to visitors is wonderful which I notice particularly as I visit almost every day. In addition, the use of a mini bus for outings is an added bonus for the more mobile residents. the work of the chef and kitchen staff is to be commended and the kindness of all staff both to residents and visitors is brilliant. With good communication in regard to clothing and toiletry requirements as well as external medical appointments.

Our mother (in-law) has settled in well at Norfolk House. From day 1, the staff have always been very helpful and helped us with any problems we may have had - they are fun and friendly and look after Mum very well. The activities are also well advertised and we can join in if we like. The food is also
great - Mum eats very well here. Mum can also get her hair done and visit the doctors from Norfolk House.

I was so impressed with the care provided to my nan, I always felt she was safe, looked after and they genuinely spoke to her and looked after her making her feel special. It was clean, safe and she was well looked after. I couldn't thank them enough for looking after my nan when we couldn't always
be there. We are a larger family so there were a lot of visitors yet they were always happy for us to be there and knew who we were. We were so grateful.

My dear mother came to Norfolk House in October 2023 from the hospital. She sadly never returned home and passed away in January 2024. The care support and amazing compassion she was shown and given during her time at Norfolk House was truly incredible. As a family, we know she was safe and cared for
in an exceptional way. The staff were excellent at all times and supported the family throughout a difficult time. My mother's last months of life were made comfortable and she was at peace. I highly recommend Norfolk House.

I’m a trained nurse, as well as a registered home manager. I’ve worked as a home manager before coming to Care UK but I never tire of the great feeling that you’re making a difference to people’s lives, whether it’s the residents, the team or the visitors who we meet each day.
