Norfolk House in Weybridge, Surrey, is a purpose-designed care home providing personalised residential care, short-term respite care, expert nursing care and specialist dementia care for older people, including those with physical disabilities.

The home offers communal areas and facilities where residents can relax, socialise and carry on pursuing hobbies or discover new interests, including a hairdressing salon, library, reminiscence room and landscaped garden with a beautiful pergola.

Every resident’s room at Norfolk House is en-suite, tastefully decorated and includes comfortable furnishings. Residents are welcome to arrange their rooms however they wish, and can bring their own possessions to help them feel completely at home.

    an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My Father became a resident at Norfolk House 3 months ago in January 2024. He has settled in well and seems content and well cared for. The staff are friendly and polite and responsive to any queries. Dad has enjoyed the food and assortment of entertainment that is provided.

I have been very impressed with how patient and caring all the staff have been since my Mum moved to Norfolk House. They take the time to comfort and reassure Mum when she is anxious. A member of staff always makes themselves available and is willing to help with all requests. I am also impressed by
the activities program on offer and how much effort is made to involve those people of different abilities. Lastly, I appreciate the home's atmosphere - it makes a great difference.

My mother has been a resident at Norfolk House for over 5 years and during that period I have been very impressed with the level of care that she has received. The staff have been consistently efficient and kind and empathetic. They faced up to the challenges of Covid admirably.
The home is well maintained
and always clean and has a generally serene atmosphere.
A special thank you to all the lovely people on the 2nd floor where Mum resides.

My mum went into Norfolk House in November 2023, she passed away 20th January 2024.
She had been in hospital for 5 weeks prior to being discharged to a care home. We were very apprehensive about choosing a care home as all we wanted was a nice clean well-run home for our mum's last few months. My sister
and I visited Norfolk House and immediately the lady on reception who showed us round was lovely, warm kind and caring. Mum moved in and I can’t speak highly enough of the care every single person gave and showed to my mum. They constantly checked on her to ensure she was clean and comfortable. Towards the end my mum didn’t want to eat or drink much at all but they continued to encourage her right to the end.
They all had individual little fun and caring connections with my mum which made her often smile and laugh and they truly made my last few months with my mum easier to deal with as I knew she was cared for and comfortable.

The care my mum gets from this home is exceptional. All the staff are wonderful and their patience, empathy and kindness towards my mum is so appreciated. My only criticism is that they need a bigger car park as can't get parked when contractors are present.

I visited Norfolk House today, there was a lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff were all very welcoming.
The home seemed very bright and everywhere was clean and well looked after, the lounge was vibrant with happy and friendly staff.
Overall it seemed a happy bright place!

I cannot praise Norfolk House enough. My friend is beautifully cared for in every way by an utterly dedicated staff who demonstrate such warmth. She is always neat and tidy as is her lovely room. Most importantly, although she is confused with dementia, she is so happy - and I cannot thank Norfolk House
adequately. We, as visitors, are always made so welcome too.

My sister moved to Norfolk House in March 2023 and has been happy there and feels that she is well looked after. She had her 90th birthday in November and my wife and I asked Norfolk House ground floor manager if we could invite a small number of our family plus some family for 'a birthday tea party'
in Norfolk House. This was readily agreed and the event was very successful. In fact, we felt the Norfolk House team did a lot more than we expected. A separate room was decorated with appropriate 90th birthday banners and balloons etc. and we were well looked after throughout. Some of our party were visiting Norfolk House for the first time and were most impressed.

My mother has been cared for in Norfolk House since July last year. She has a very nice clean room with doors opening out onto the garden. She is well cared for and enjoys the excellent food. There is a nurse on duty all of the time who is very happy to discuss my mother's health with me. A GP from
the local medical centre visits weekly. The staff are very nice and friendly but are very busy and do not have much time for just a casual chat.

My mother sadly suffers from Alzheimer's, a very cruel illness. The only consolation is that I know she is looked after by exceptionally kind, empathetic people who always treat her with gentleness and respect. She is seen as a valued individual with unique needs. There was a joyful atmosphere in the
home on Christmas Day; much laughter, many smiles and seasonal music. Yesterday, sat in on a Namaste session, which my mother absolutely loves. It is a wonderful, soothing therapy, sensitively administered. I shall always be grateful to the many staff who cherish my mother.

Mum's key carers were exemplary in their love and care, they treated her as if she was their mother. The nurses were very professional and reacted very quickly when urgent medical attention was required or escalation to medical services was needed. Mum was looked after very well as her health declined,
especially towards her end-of-life phase. Management and admin staff accommodated Mum's every need throughout her stay, including activities, physical care and nutrition. They made her stay a happy one.

When I finally accepted after three years that I could no longer manage to care for my husband with dementia, I did not know what to expect from Norfolk House Care Home. The staff were supportive and respectful and went beyond just caring. I could not have asked for more. I was able to visit him at
any time and mentally I felt the staff were helping me. I was confident that he had the best care. Communication was excellent. I have recommended this care home to others.

Excellent care from all the staff at Norfolk House during my Mum's short stay with them. My Mum was treated with the upmost care, dignity, respect and compassion. The process of moving in all the way to the end was easy and straightforward.
The facilities offered were excellent and there were plenty
of activities to keep the residents stimulated as much as possible.

My mother spent just over a month in Norfolk House after a month in hospital. After an experiment at home, she returned and died there. The staff were wonderful, friendly and professional. Mum really didn't want to be in a home or suffer the indignity of a failing system but the staff made her feel
welcome and cared for. They engaged with her personality, had time for a chat, and I will remember the photo of her cuddling a piglet when some animals were brought in.

My mother came to Norfolk House in March this year after 10 weeks in the hospital and a few unhappy weeks at home. I cannot believe the improvement in her appearance and cognitive ability since she has been here. Her old personality is back. The staff treat her with kindness and dignity, and I take
great comfort knowing that she is warm, safe, and well looked after. She chooses the activities she participates in, but they are often creative and fun. It's also a pleasure to see her caring about her appearance again. A nice spacious room is an added bonus!

I’m a trained nurse, as well as a registered home manager. I’ve worked as a home manager before coming to Care UK but I never tire of the great feeling that you’re making a difference to people’s lives, whether it’s the residents, the team or the visitors who we meet each day. I’ve been working at Care UK since September 2015, and I joined to further my career and to improve my skills and experience. There are always lots of positive challenges: every resident is different and it’s my and my team’s job to ensure we’re meeting their needs in the way that best suits them.
