Queen Elizabeth Park provides residential, nursing and dementia care with love and kindness, treating residents as the individuals that they are.

Following personalised care plans designed to meet the individual needs of each resident, the team strives to provide the reassurance that your loved one is being cared for by a team you can trust and rely on. They work hard to involve friends and family in everyday life at the home too.

The home organises a calendar of meaningful activities to suit all tastes and abilities, to support residents’ overall health and wellbeing; from themed parties to choir practice, to djembe drumming and art tutorials, as well as welcoming visits from local musicians, performers, artists and schoolchildren. Residents also enjoy regular days out on the minibus to local places of interest, and cultivate connections with local mum and toddler playgroups, charity partners, and cultural institutions.

Lovely atmosphere staff are friendly, caring and helpful and listened to my concerns re my husbands care.
My husband has been twice for respite care and seemed very happy, gained weight both times after being in hospital for a prolonged time.

Having moved my mother here from a less satisfactory home in London, I'm very pleased to say that she is settled well and very happy which means the world to us as a family. She is really enjoying all the activities and interactions with all the other residents and staff. She says she feels happy, safe
and that this is her home. I feel confident and happy whenever I leave after a visit that she will be well cared for. Thank you.

There are times when the impression is that the care home is short staffed, particularly in the evenings. More activities aimed at specific needs especially aimed at stimulation.

On arrival, always greeted as a friend, Upstairs gain staff are superb at recognising me and making me feel at home. All residents are looked after and cared for as if by their own family. Rooms are lovely, communal areas great, always clean and tidy but homely as well. Tea and cake are fantastic, well-done

The manager welcomes residents and their family with open arms. Hats off to the carers on the second floor, they are worth their weight in gold nothing is too much trouble for them.
You can leave a loved one knowing they will get the best care and attention that you yourself would give. All the staff
and residents are so happy and all have time for a chat. First class home, great food, brilliant carers and nurses.
Thanks to everyone on the second floor for taking such good care of mum.

My friend lived in this care home for 15 months. She was well cared for and soon adapted to her then new surroundings.
She passed away in the care home peacefully in her sleep at the age of 106.
I would recommend the service provided.

My father seemed to be reasonably happy at the care home. He was almost blind and hard of hearing so was unable to go in with the activities which seemed to be good for people who were able, they seemed to be very patient with him when he got frustrated because of his blindness and hearing problems.

My mum has been a resident in QEP for two months now and is very happy and has settled well. The home is very welcoming and staff are friendly, kind and caring. Mum enjoys the wide variety of activities and loves her trips out in the minibus to different places of interest. She has made new friends
with both residents and staff and has lots of laughs and fun which makes such a difference to her. There is a good choice of menu and the food is excellent. Mum likes having regular hair appointments at the onsite hairdressing salon. We appreciate your hard work and we are enjoying being part of your kind and caring family.

After having spent three periods of time in hospital with depression in 2005 the Doctor advised me to go into a care home.
Taking this advice I viewed a few care homes and selected Queen Elizabeth Park.
I have not regretted my choice as it is a homely care home.
A cheerful caring staff with a very
good caring manager, who in her two years of being here has done more than the previous managers, having improvements made for the benefit of the residents.

I am writing this review on behalf of my sister who spent two weeks with you over Christmas period 2016. Since returning home she has not stopped telling us just how much she enjoyed her stay with you and can we arrange for her to come back next Christmas, your staff were wonderful the car could not
have been better and the accommodation was great. A special mention and thanks to your house manager who made us all feel welcome. My sister who is very disabled has spent Christmas at various care homes for the last six years say that this was the best ever.

My daughter contacted the manageress of the above care home with a view of providing 2 weeks respite care for me (96 years) whilst the family were on holiday. We were treated with kindness and courtesy. The family went off and I went to Queen Elizabeth Park with some trepidation. Not for long, because
I was greeted with warmth, consideration, care, and above all, humour.
All the staff are devoted to their tasks with a smile and an encouraging word to the people they are caring for. I am grateful for the experience. Thank you Queen Elizabeth Park.

Job Title: Home Manager

Heather De Ninis has a wealth of care home experience working in care for over 32 years having started her career as a carer. She has a comprehensive understanding of how care homes operate having worked in varying roles including housekeeping, catering and maintenance!
