Rodwell House is a family-run nursing home providing high-quality, affordable accommodation for people who need 24-hour care, particularly those living with dementia.

The care suites provide a home for life, offering residents a choice of studio or one bedroom suites, all with en-suite shower rooms. Residents' spouses can also be accommodated, so that couples can stay together even when one develops the need for on-going care. Registered nurses are on hand to cater for the changing needs of individual residents.

Rodwell House pride themselves on providing relationship-centred care which puts each resident at the heart of a mutually beneficial relationship between their family and friends, staff and healthcare professionals.

I will be eternally grateful to the exceptional staff across all areas, laundry and cleaning teams to the skilled carers and nursing staff, for their support and care to my mum and our entire family. In my thirty years of professional life, I came into contact with many nursing homes that offered similar
services to that of Rodwell House. I cannot think of even one that came up to the standards of compassion and care that Rodwell staff delivered. We live at a distance so when we telephoned, if at all possible, they took the phone to her and encouraged a few words from her. We were always offered refreshments. Her room was light, spacious and always kept clean. Her limited communication skills did not prevent the staff from identifying her needs and finding time to play her music tapes or put on 'Songs of Praise' for her to hear. The introduction of new technology will only enhance the experience of residents and their families and I wish them well for the future. Thank you.

Viewing Rodwell House under such difficult times was made as easy as possible. The staff are very welcoming and all our questions were answered along with information that we didn't ask but needed to know. Again moving in day was as seamless as possible, even allowing us to have lunch with my husband,
who liked both his room and the view. Thank you Rodwell House for making a hard decision much easier.

My husband has been a resident at Rodwell starting with respite care in the old house, going onto permanent care. I would not want him in any other home apart from a 2-year break to another home (bad mistake) he has been with Rodwell House for about 9 years and I cannot fault their care.

Rodwell House is an ideal place for my mum. The facilities are excellent as are the very caring staff. I know that my mother's health and well-being are being closely monitored which is a huge relief to us all. My mum is very happy here and I feel she is safe and well cared for. Any issues are addressed
and resolved swiftly.

The home is very spacious with wide corridors for excellent wheelchair access. Access to all floors is via two lifts. All the suites have well-designed facilities and the housekeeping is very professional and efficient. The lounges and dining rooms are very tastefully decorated and provide a friendly
atmosphere throughout the day. Care and support is provided by care staff who are efficient and hardworking. However, training is an ongoing requirement.

1. Caring - putting the client's interests and needs first.
2. Well trained team.
3. Leadership- knowing that there is someone in overall control with a filtering down of responsibilities from the top.
There is no question that the staff are caring and very attentive to both physical and mental
needs. They respect the residents but they also like them. They smile.
The team is well trained and this area continues to be addressed. Training can never stop or complacency steps in.
The home is well led and the leader is well supported by her team
