This is a lovely home with very caring and friendly staff and my uncle is well taken care of here. The grounds are well kept and it is nice to sit on the benches and look down into the valley. I also like the check-in and check-out system in the foyer and I think the security is very good.

My father has been at Springfield now for a couple of months and has settled in very well. The whole care team from the management to the nurses are very efficient, professional and diligent. I was worried at the start how my father would react to moving from his home of many years to a residential
home but the staff have dealt with him perfectly with compassion and humour. The home has a lovely family feel to the place, a very relaxing environment. Also communication with the management team has been excellent, I would highly recommend Springfield to anyone.

I am not sure, quite what to say. I am being very well looked after. All staff are helpful and friendly, the nursing home is very nice, with plenty of space and large grounds.
It is a vast improvement to hospital, when you need all-round care, but are not critical.
I will end by saying, I am happy
here.

We could not have been happier with our choice of Springfield Manor for Dad. The physical and emotional care was wonderful. We felt welcome from the start, and confident that Dad would be looked after. Not just with his physical needs, but also respected as an individual and treated with dignity. We
saw the same staff working there consistently, they knew our names and all family members. They knew Dad and his family and friends who visited. We were given updates on who had visited and what Dad had done that day, which made us feel part of his life. He was always looked after so well. The communication to the family was great and any medical concerns were immediately shared. You didn’t just feel like another family, you felt like the only family there. It doesn’t feel clinical, despite being equipped to be so. It felt as much like home for Dad as it could. I will be eternally grateful to everyone at Springfield for the care, compassion and love they showed Dad and our family.

From the moment I set foot in Springfield, I knew it was the correct place for my husband. The staff were happy and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were long-term permanent as opposed to agency so it was good that my husband could over time recognise voices and faces if at times he
couldn't always remember their names. The staff also made a point of getting to know my husband and were able to relate to family members such as the grandchildren making them very welcome. I felt very happy leaving him in their care and trusting them to do their best to keep him safe, comfortable and happy as much as possible. Staff always treated his personal care with dignity and kindness which was very important to know. I was made to feel welcome whatever time I arrived and never made to feel in the way. I was very happy with the care and it was the right place for him to be.

My mother is being treated with the utmost care and dignity by all the staff at Springfield Manor. She is unable to communicate her needs herself but the patience and kindness shown to her is obvious when we visit. She struggles to eat but the carers persevere and she is healthy and happy. Communication
is easy and positive from everyone at the home.

My Dad was with Springfield for about 2 years. He had an extremely severe stroke a few years previously. He came here as he was in need of full-time care. Dad was well cared for, the staff were lovely, caring and helpful. They welcomed me in each week, out of hours as I didn't finish work early.
The
home has a beautiful view across the green valley - Dad loved being outside - we would sit out on the terrace or the grass on sunny days.
Sadly we lost Dad a couple of weeks ago - they could not have been more supportive, we could go to Dad anytime and stay as long as we wanted (even through the night) their end-of-life care was great and they were sensitive to give us our personal time - as much as we wanted.
Thank you to all of you, keep up the good work.

My wife transferred to Springfield Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy and complicated illness in hospital. She was weak and required nursing care for some issues that remained. Within 1 week there was a noticeable improvement in her condition, and she continues to improve; gaining weight and looking
more like her old self. No doubt, the change to the warm and friendly environment helped her. But I think what helped most was the staff – so welcoming and professional, they are attentive and provide excellent care. I know most of them through my visits. I would like to mention the manager, who is not only a qualified nurse, but also the one who sets and manages the high standards of the nursing home. Situated on the Hogs Back with a southerly aspect looking over the North Downs, the patio on a sunny day offers great views, and is very peaceful for residents and visitors alike.
I have no hesitation in recommending Springfield Manor Nursing Home.

My wife and I have had a great Summer. We did manage to sit outside on the Patio on several occasions. My wife's Dementia is getting worse every day. The management and dedicated staff take great care in looking after her because she can be very difficult at times. She has problems at night, but the
staff do take care of her. The entertainment this summer has been well received by the residents, and look forward to the oncoming trips. Top marks to the management and staff.

My dad has complex needs after a catastrophic stroke in 2022. Dad is probably suffering vascular dementia and isn't always the easiest of patients. Despite the fact he can make life difficult, he is clean and well cared for. His health, considering his complex needs, is also very good because staff
at Springfield Manor are always on top of his medical needs. Dad is peg fed, so I can't answer any questions about the food.

My mother went to Springfield for an estimated 6-week stay. her recovery is slower than expected but the staff have done a magnificent job. She has now been there for several months. she has no complaints and I would say she has nothing but praise for all the staff from the manager to the man who brings
the laundry back. Well done everyone and thank you.

My mother was transferred from A&E in April 2022 after collapsing at home, where she lived alone. The home prepared her and ourselves for this transition in a very caring and professional way. As an ex-headmistress, my mother was used to getting her own way and was quite opinionated at times, even with
dementia!
The home had to bring her onboard, and she had adjusted to staying there. This must have been quite testing for them at times. I can now see that they possessed enough experience to handle this, as she ended up being very comfortable in the ten months she stayed until she passed away in her sleep a few weeks ago.
I would recommend this care home, the primary reason being the staff and the facility layout - it accommodates social events like entertainers coming into the central spaces, and the terrace view across the valley is amazing in the Summer. Best wishes to the staff and to you reviewing this home.

My mother is in Springfield Manor receiving end-of-life care, and I cannot fault the dedication and care of the staff and management there. Nothing is too much trouble, and they make sure Mum is pain-free, comfortable and well-looked-after. The room is always warm and clean. Earlier in her stay, my
mum took part in some of the activities there, and it was lovely to spend some time with her seeing her enjoy herself. The home has made her final days as peaceful as they can be.

Having worked in a number of care homes in my younger years, I can safely say that I've never known a home like Springfield - where every member of staff is so gentle, caring and kind. Since the day my father arrived, I honestly thanked God that he was there. Having been placed briefly in a cold and
uncaring rehabilitation facility by the NHS, his face shone with happiness when he arrived at Springfield. The manager and her team of nurses and carers were so very kind and welcoming, placing the emphasis on it being Dad's home and making him feel as happy and comfortable as possible. He was beautifully cared for physically, mentally and emotionally. In his final days, we could not have asked for a more gentle and caring team around him and us. Nothing was too much trouble - from supplying us with endless cups of tea and talking us through what was happening to caring for Dad and liaising swiftly and effectively with the hospice and GP - in doing so, they eased both Dad's pain and our sadness.

My husband was placed at Springfield for just over a month. The staff coped well with his very challenging Alzheimer's behaviour and did their best to make him feel welcome and settled. The facility was clean and tidy, and the staff were attentive and helpful. I received a quick response to any queries
or questions. I eventually needed to move him closer to home, but if this doesn't work out, I would have no hesitation in asking Springfield Manor to take him back again.
