Tadworth Grove is a purpose-built home that offers residential, nursing and dementia* care, palliative, convalescence and respite stay. At Tadworth Grove, staff are all highly trained in providing 24-hour tailored care. Stays can be from as little as a week. It could be a week to experience living here, a month while recovering from an operation or a more long-term move. Advance bookings available.

Staff get to know each resident personally, to make sure they get the balance between support and independence just right. This provides peace of mind for families and a safe and comfortable home for residents. There are lots of places to relax here. Residents can get their hair done in the salon, enjoy the warmth of the conservatory or catch up with family in one of the lounges. Outside, residents can enjoy views of woodland and horses in neighbouring fields. Landscaped grounds offer several attractive seating areas, raised flowerbeds and wheelchair-friendly paths.

There’s always plenty going on, with things to do arranged every day of the week. There are strong links with the local community and monthly residents’ meetings which means everyone has a say. From weekly singers and entertainers, arts and crafts, games, music clubs to a weekly cheese and wine evening every Wednesday, there is always something going on. So whether loved ones already have a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of exciting activities to get involved in. Anyone is welcome to pop in and join in, whether a friend, relative or loved one.

Due to a family celebration I have travelled from a care home in Muthill, Scotland. I am happy to say the staff here have treated me very kindly. Yesterday I went on an outing to Brighton. Very enjoyable. I have not been there for many years. Weather luckily was dry but very windy, we had a very nice
lunch of fish and chips and mushy peas on the pier. On the journey home we had a sing a long, all in all a very enjoyable day.

The staff at Tadworth Grove were all fantastic! My mother was very well cared for, and the food and drink were excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to others. My only slight concern would be on the maintenance side. The toilet in my mother's room was very difficult to flush,
the door handle was not properly fixed to the door, and Mum frequently had no towels to dry her hands - these issues were reported, but not resolved in the six months that she was a resident there. The overall standard of care is very high, and that is the more important - so 9.5 out of 10!

I am disabled with no mobility having had brain surgery 22 years ago and more recently hip surgery. Because I will need a wheelchair, my carpets are being replaced with a wooden floor and so I came to Tadworth Grove for respite care while the work is done - I am 85 and was dreading coming into care,
but to my surprise, I have really enjoyed my stay. Everything has been way above my expectations, especially the amazing care of all the staff - who are so cheerful and positive. Everyone is treated as an individual with their own special needs. In my case, the care was way beyond all that was necessary.

My Mum had Alzheimer's and was admitted to Tadworth Grove Care Home from hospital after being assessed for the need for 24-hour care. As a family, we were grateful for the kindness and care Mum received. When Mum had a rare good day staff called to tell me and we were able to spend precious time with
her in the lovely peaceful garden, a memory my son and I will always treasure. As Mum's sole carer, the time the staff also gave to guide me through the process of Mum's admission was invaluable to me and they were always supportive especially when her health detreated and she sadly passed away. It is a great comfort to us to know Mum had the care she needed in her final home.

It has been absolutely fantastic now being able to go into Tadworth Grove through the front door wearing our mask and having just to sign the register and have a normal visit with my mum. Everyone seems so happy and well, which is great to see. All the staff are doing such a great job (as they have
all done throughout covid) with plenty of activities going on and it is a pleasure to say things are just as lovely as they were before. Thank you to all the lovely staff who have worked so hard to get us where we are today. It has been much appreciated.

Since Mum moved into Tadworth Grove at the beginning of December, she has been made to feel welcome by the staff who are helpful, attentive and kind. Mum has mild dementia and her transition of moving into a care home was very quick and hard for her to come to terms with, but with the staff's help and
encouragement, this transition was made much easier and smoother for her. I receive regular communications on the ever-changing Covid restrictions and feel that the home are doing everything to keep the residents safe, whilst still allowing families to visit and keep in touch regularly. So a huge thanks to all the staff for making this move easier for Mum. Also, a big thanks to the chefs/cooks as Mum seems to be eating much better now, with a variety of meals tailored to suit even her fussiness. I am very grateful for all their help.

Mum has been a resident of Tadworth Grove for nearly 4 years now. I cannot praise the home enough for their professionalism, kindness, respect and care given to my Mum. I am always kept informed of any medical changes and communication on all aspects of my Mum's care is very good. Updates on visiting,
during Covid, kept me reassured that residents were keeping safe when I could finally visit after many months. Many thanks to all staff in whatever capacity they work, as together, they have a lovely home to be proud of.

My experience was a very positive one. The team at Tadworth Grove provided our Dad with great care and kindness. He had very high needs for a lot of his two years stay, and right up to the end, I felt he was given all the care and attention he needed. The team at Tadworth Grove are very professional,
approachable and caring. I definitely felt Dad was treated with respect and dignity.
Value for money; this is a really hard one to answer. I believe Dad received the care he needed, but it's difficult to say whether this was "value for money".
Dad paid in excess of £120,000 for his care over the last two years, but there were residents who paid nothing.
Not sure how it can be made to feel like a fairer system, but the "value for money" question is hard to answer when the costs for Dad were so high compared to others.
Had Dad paid nothing or had his costs heavily subsidised, I would say excellent value for money... but this wasn't the case.
Without understanding exactly when it costs to care for one resident in a care home, this is an impossible question and answer with a mark.
I cannot fault the care and kindness Dad received... but I will always feel it was expensive compared to costs incurred by others.

Soonita holds a Registered Managers Award and a Diploma in Health and Social Services Management and has a successful track record in care home management in three other large corporate companies. Soonita has a wealth of knowledge on what good care looks like.

I have held many chef roles including Executive Chef and Regional Development Chef for a large contract catering company specialising in gaining new contracts and opening new multi-sites such as Glaxo Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Defence sites, Cisco System, N.E.C. and IBM to name but a few.

I came to Bupa in 2010 as a carer and have personal experience of dementia care having looked after my mother.

I was promoted to Senior Housekeeper 3 years ago and now not only help out with the care of our residents but I keep the home clean too.

I spend my time listening and chatting to residents which is a very rewarding part of my role and I get a great buzz knowing that I can make a difference to their lives.

I worked for Tesco in the security department for 24 years and then as a carer for Better@Homes for approximately 6 years.

Job Title: Loving Pet

Joined: 2018

Smudge, the cat was named by one of our residents and he joined Tadworth Grove on 19th June 2018 aged 10 weeks.

Smudge is the youngest resident. He is looking forward to completing his course of immunisation so he can have free run of the home and gardens and make lots of new friends.

Smudge is well loved by all our residents and relatives.
