The staff go over and above with their kindness and care and have kept in touch with me at all times. I am always informed of injections and medication changes, plus good days and bad days for my husband. He is well looked after and as a family, we are very grateful -especially this last horrendous
year. Whatever has been going on in the outside world, Woodside View has kept everyone safe and happy. It is a lovely Manor House with a nice garden for residents and their families.

Woodside View is an excellent nursing home. The staff are very professional, always treating my mum with dignity and respect. The communication is of a very high standard, the family are always contacted if there are any health changes we need to be made aware of. Woodside is extremely well run and
nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who are friendly and caring.

First off, the staff are great, always willing to help and accommodate, regardless of how busy they are. The location is very nice. Some care homes I saw, looked like hospital wards but Woodside is a converted mansion and feels like a proper home, with a lovely garden. Good communication also from
the staff, regarding Mum's health.

The staff are friendly and helpful, always, where possible, trying to fulfil needs, particularly during the Covid Crisis where the residents' understanding of the situation can make things difficult. My aunt has multiple physical needs and these are always met with understanding and I know she feels
'at home'. This is great for me, as I have been unable to visit as often as one would like, even without Covid.

Very pleased with the care that was given to my father-in-law.
The home has very high standards in all departments.
When my father-in-law died after 5 years at Woodside. The staff gave me a lot of help and support which was very much appreciated.

My mother has been a resident for a year now. I have always found the staff very helpful, caring and considerate. I have never had any concerns or complaint about anything in the past year.

A small well run nursing home in a lovely situation. Mum is looked after well. More activities would be better for more active patients.

My experience of Woodside View Nursing Home was excellent. Throughout my partner’s time there, he received the best care and attention, in a warm, clean and welcoming environment. We always felt welcomed and were always informed and involved in his care plan arrangements. "Thank-you" is not really
a big enough word to express our gratitude to the staff. I would strongly recommend this excellent home.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.367)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.367) out of 10 for Woodside View Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.467 for Woodside View Home is calculated as follows: ( (54 Excellents x 5) + (46 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 105 Ratings = 4.467

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Woodside View Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 26 registered maximum number of service users is 5.2, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
