Ashridge Court Care Centre is a bright, spacious and modern care home set in the beautiful East Sussex countryside, just outside Bexhill-on-Sea. The home, surrounded by gardens and with magnificent sea views, offers the highest possible quality of life for all residents, and exceptional care is delivered with empathy, compassion and a focus on dignity.

There are 51 spacious and comfortably furnished rooms offering superb general nursing care. All rooms are equipped with TV, a nurse call system and an adjustable automatic bed with a control handset for additional comfort.

In addition, the Hazel Wing offers a self-contained 16-bed unit, with specialist care, for people living with dementia.

Nursing and care staff are on hand 24/7, supported by dedicated teams of chefs, activities, administration and housekeeping staff. There is a variety of specialist equipment to help move residents carefully and safely. Everything is centred around meeting the needs of residents and making their life as comfortable as possible.

There is lift access between the floors, and all areas are wheelchair accessible. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the home.

A dedicated activities team offers a daily programme of interesting and therapeutic activities.

The café-style bar offers refreshments, such as freshly baked cakes and biscuits, throughout the day.

The communal areas overlooking the gardens provide comfortable spaces to socialise with guests or other residents. The extensive private gardens and well-planned decks offer superb views over the coastline.

My mother has been a resident since July 2016 since when her personal needs have increased little by little. During the last year the team appear highly motivated and have responded particularly well under the new management with a warm friendly and strong can-do attitude. Individuals respond well to
extra or special needs and provide ready feedback on a virtual family basis.

My mum has been cared for by the staff of Ashridge Court from the end of August 2021 to 21 Feb 2022 and has had the best of care anyone could wish for. Mum was upset at having to leave her home but the staff made the transition so much easier for Mum and us all. The care has been exceptional by dedicated

From the first second of talking to the staff, I felt at ease. They made my mum's stay very easy on her. The staff became more like family. I cannot say enough about Ashridge Court. Ashridge Court Care Centre is located in attractive grounds with stunning views across fields to the distant English Channel at Normans Bay. The home is purpose-built and as such the building is fit for purpose and has a modern ambience of efficiency and professionalism. The team at the home from the
leadership, administration, entertainment, nursing, carers, and housekeepers all appear to be motivated to provide a good positive environment of care for the residents. I have been a frequent weekly visitor to the home over the past few years and there is a core of established long-serving staff that set high standards for those new staff joining the home. (There is a regular turnover of staff in this industry and this home appears not to be exempt from this fact). In conclusion, I do believe that my father is in very cable hands, which gives me peace of mind and has allowed him to enjoy and extend his life (despite living with dementia) and remain a big part of his family.

The nursing care given to my Mother is excellent. There are regular staff who know her and her requirements. Equally importantly, she knows them. They genuinely care for her well being and perform their tasks in a thoroughly professional manner.

My mum was admitted in November 2021 and is on palliative care. I have found the staff and care provided first class and nothing is too much trouble for the patient or family. The home has adhered to covid restrictions where necessary and also residents and family cope with this. I highly recommend
this home.

I can highly recommend Ashridge Court Care Centre. My mother has received excellent care from the care staff and nurses who are very warm and friendly. The nursing staff are approachable and always willing to answer any concerns. There is a lovely atmosphere as soon as you enter and there's always a
friendly greeting by the reception staff. The premises are spotlessly clean.
I'm glad I have chosen Ashridge Court to care for Mum.

My Aunt was always cared for even during challenging times. The staff always tried to communicate even though she was profoundly deaf. Everyone was welcoming to the family and the room was always immaculately clean. She was allowed to make her room her own. The staff were always sympathetic to her needs.

I have been visiting Ashridge for nearly 17 years on and off visiting different relatives. My grannie, grandad and Great aunt have all stayed here. Their end of life care for all three people has been tailored to the individual needs of each relative. Every staff member has been welcoming and kind to
both extended family visiting and relatives that lived there. Thank you for all your hard work.

My mother was in Ashridge Court Care Centre for about a month. The staff was professional at all times. During her last week, it made me realise how hard they all work under difficult circumstances. The care they gave my mother in her last few days was amazing. When my mother could communicate with
me, she said the staff was kind to her. That made me feel very happy that she was being looked after so well.

My mother was at Ashridge for fifteen months. She was never taken outside the door even into the garden the whole time she was there. I had to provide yoghurts as she was given mushy peas for an afternoon snack!
On arriving at Ashridge she stood on transfer but they immediately hoisted her which she
wasn’t fond of and often lashed out. I moved her to another home where she has sat in the garden on many occasions.

I stayed in Ashridge court for 14 days. It was near to my home and I had heard good reviews. I used it for respite care as I was taking so long to recover from a colostomy that I needed somewhere between the hospital and home. Ashridge fulfilled this perfectly. I had good food which built up my strength
and after early teething problems, I was allowed as much independence as I could handle. The carers also helped me with the stairs so that I would manage at home. I am very grateful to all the staff at Ashridge.

From day one the staff at Ashridge Court made me feel welcome and that Mum was in safe hands. The level of care over the time she was in the home was outstanding - she gradually declined in her health and ability but the staff ensured that she kept her dignity right until she passed away this month.
I would unreservedly recommend this care home for anyone looking in the Bexhill area.

My mother was admitted to Ashridge in need of nursing care from hospital. She was afforded great courtesy, wonderful care from dedicated, very friendly, kind and efficient staff, both management and of course nurses, and health care assistants alike. Nothing was too much trouble and she had a very
smart room. She always asked me to try the food too, which was very good, food is like medicine to those in need. The staff were equally solicitous of my well being while I visited on a daily basis. My mother passed away, she was elderly and her condition frail. The staff treated her with great dignity and this was the same with every other resident. This is most important at a time in a human being's life when it is one of the last kindnesses that others can perform for them. I cannot speak too highly of Ashridge Court and I would recommend their services to anyone - they have a very good reputation among doctors and the nursing profession in the vicinity. A big heartfelt thank you.

Julie has worked as a registered manager within care and nursing homes as well as an inspector for her local council and CQC where she managed a team of inspectors.
