Ashridge Court Care Centre is a bright, spacious and modern care home set in the beautiful East Sussex countryside, just outside Bexhill-on-Sea. The home, surrounded by gardens and with magnificent sea views, offers the highest possible quality of life for all residents, and exceptional care is delivered with empathy, compassion and a focus on dignity.

There are 51 spacious and comfortably furnished rooms offering superb general nursing care. All rooms are equipped with TV, a nurse call system and an adjustable automatic bed with a control handset for additional comfort.

In addition, the Hazel Wing offers a self-contained 16-bed unit, with specialist care, for people living with dementia.

Nursing and care staff are on hand 24/7, supported by dedicated teams of chefs, activities, administration and housekeeping staff. There is a variety of specialist equipment to help move residents carefully and safely. Everything is centred around meeting the needs of residents and making their life as comfortable as possible.

There is lift access between the floors, and all areas are wheelchair accessible. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the home.

A dedicated activities team offers a daily programme of interesting and therapeutic activities.

The café-style bar offers refreshments, such as freshly baked cakes and biscuits, throughout the day.

The communal areas overlooking the gardens provide comfortable spaces to socialise with guests or other residents. The extensive private gardens and well-planned decks offer superb views over the coastline.

My mum age 96 was receiving "end of life care" at this superb home. She was treated with great compassion, respect and dignity as were we and others who visited her. The nurses, care staff, domestic staff and administration staff were all friendly, professional and supportive.
Unfortunately, mum was
only at Ash Ridge Court for 4 weeks and was too ill to be able to appreciate all the facilities of the home. It is in a truly beautiful position with views across the countryside out to sea. The gardens are large and easily accessible. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. Thank you, Ash Ridge Court for taking such care of mum, and us, at the end of her life.

Sadly my father was only at Ashridge Court for a short time but we were very impressed with every aspect of the home. He was treated with dignity, care and compassion. The kindness shown to my father was extended to us; we were welcomed at any time and always kept up to date and involved regarding my
father's health.

No management at the time of entry. The home was excellent from previous experience from previous family member who stayed before this time.
All aspects were rather disjointed for some time but all being addressed by the new manager.

My parents have been residents at Ashridge Court for more than two years. My mother has been in the dementia wing where her care in spite of her deterioration and increased needs has been attentive and sensitive. My father has also received a level of care which reassures me that he is safe and comfortable.

I have absolutely no problems with both my parents living at Ashridge Court Care Centre.
Everything is first class.
In the three years they have lived there we have had no reason to worry about their care.
It is like one big happy family.

Generally an excellent care home with friendly staff and a caring environment. The only downside would be the lack of parking, particularly when the home is having staff training days.

The nursing side of the care home and in particular the dementia unit provides an excellent service. I have a good rapport with the nurses and carers. I, however, feel that the activities for Hazel unit have declined.


The office processes fail to use all the modern tools, I get my mother's monthly

statement followed a few day later by one for additional services, this is all on expensive headed notepaper and could have been emailed to me. This also applies to any correspondence from the home, only the other day I had what I considered a round robin letter sent to me and as if my mother had just gone into care. I understand not everyone has email but at least give it as an option.

Juliet Wills joined Ashridge in August 2021. She is a trained nurse who also has a humanities degree and a clinical teaching qualification. Julie has worked as a registered manager within care and nursing homes as well as an inspector for her local council and CQC where she managed a team of inspectors.
