Welcome to Coniston Court, an elegantly extended Edwardian country house nestled within leafy picturesque grounds in the heart of the Ashdown Forest, near Uckfield, East Sussex.

The care home provides dedicated residential, nursing and respite care for older individuals, including those living with dementia. The recently unveiled purpose-built residential care environment has been welcoming residents since spring 2024. Featuring spacious bedrooms equipped with modern en-suite wet rooms, residents can enjoy the utmost comfort and convenience in their personal and communal spaces.

At Coniston Court, the well-trained nursing and care teams are committed to taking a person-centred approach, ensuring that each resident receives tailored support designed to enhance their strengths and abilities.

We, as a family, are very pleased with the care my husband is receiving from management and care staff at Coniston Court Care Home. He is more settled and has built a rapport with the staff, we all hope this will happily continue to grow for him.
The management and staff are warm, polite and helpful

The home always appears to be clean and comfortable. Always very welcoming and considerate of visitors. The staff are always cheerful, helpful and capable. Lovely surroundings and lots of places for visitors to sit with their relatives.

My mum has been in Coniston Court Care Home since January 2022. The care my mum has been provided is outstanding. In the time she has been here she has gained weight. They have helped her to hold a cup again and spend time feeding her. She seems happy and contented. All the staff are very friendly,
caring and helpful.

My father was admitted to the home during the pandemic, so I was unable to visit the home before his admission. I spoke to the home manager, she came across as very caring, told me all about the home and was able to answer all my questions about the care my dad would receive and reassured me my dad
would be well looked after. I have only been able to visit my dad twice since his admission, due to the pandemic, I was very impressed with the way the staff interacted with him, they were patient and caring and took time to try and understand what he wanted, heis unable to communicate verbally. Throughout his stay, the manager and the nurses have always kept me informed by phone about any changes in his condition, changes in medication, or if a GP or Psychiatrist was contacted. I am very happy with the manager and nursing staff, my dad is well cared for, kept safe and all his needs are met in a caring, professional way.

The home is very friendly and the staff always keep me or my sister informed of health issues, etc. regarding our father. During lockdown, they managed to What's App us both with Dad which was much appreciated. There is always enough staff around, and they are always ensuring that the residents are

At all visits staff are welcoming, friendly and caring. I cannot thank them enough for caring for mum with empathy, dignity and respect, keeping her safe and well through these strange times. I visited mum today under strict Covid restrictions as always social distancing and PPE were provided. Mum was
brought through the specially designated area she was spoken to politely clearly and caringly about what was happening and who was visiting, we were left along for our visit although I don't think mum was aware who I was. I chatted to her about our family and what was happening in our world. The visit ended and mum was taken out. I was appreciative of how the whole visit dealt with so thankyou everybody.

Two visits post lockdown in the garden. Well organised, staff attentive, Mum even had her sunglasses on. Being her birthday, staff came out to celebrate with cake and candles and took photos which I received. Very caring towards Mum who responded positively to all the attention. Thank you for making

The manager and the whole team are amazing and very upbeat, especially through what has been an extremely difficult time.
Mum is well and happy and each time I have seen her there is someone with her making a fuss of her. Something she loves!

The staff are always helpful and nothing is too much for them. I feel the only thing that I would change is the front door entrance I think it should be two sets of doors as it is now when opened it now lets the cold air in for the residents. The other thing I think is that the residents should be checked

My father has been at the home for two and a half years. He settled in really well which was a worry to begin with. The staff are welcoming and have always been available for a chat and update. During the Covid-19 pandemic they have arranged Whatsapp calls for myself and sister with my dad, which had
been reassuring during this period. The home has a good reputation locally, and friends who have visited, have commented on the good vibes at the home.

I am so happy with the home and the staff there. My elderly uncle has been with them for six months and has received first-class care.
The manager is particularly wonderful! Her office door is always open, and she’s there with a beautiful welcoming smile and time to listen for however long it takes.
Every staff member I have spoken to have been well informed and happy to discuss him and his needs.
We’re very happy to have him there. Excellent.

My husband was in the home from 24th April 2014 and died in his room on 27th September 2019. He was looked after by all the staff extremely well.

During the month of August, my mother became very ill with a chest infection. The care and treatment given were of a high standard and it was quickly recognised that my mother was not improving and would need hospital admission. My mother on returning to the care home was efficiently cared for by all
staff. My mother is now feeling a lot better and to being out of her room and moving around.

My mother is happy and well looked after. There are plenty of helpful staff around if you need anything, they are happy to help. When we had a party for my dad's 80th, the home provided transport and a carer so that she could join us. They are wonderful and caring.

Job Title: Care Home Manager

Welcome to our beautiful Edwardian Country House in the middle of Ashdown Forest close to Uckfield, East Sussex.


We pride ourselves on having a warm, welcoming and homely environment, with beautiful safe outside spaces.


We support individuals with a high standard of care, including 24-hour nursing care. This enables the people we support to live their lives with dignity.


After gaining my nursing qualifications in India, I moved to Wales and began my career in care as a nurse. I moved to Coniston Court 10 years ago, achieving my level 5 in Health and Social Care Management along the way. Following a short space in time as a nurse at the home, I progressed to the position of deputy manager and then finally to home manager in 2014.


I believe that having a passion for caring for others and ensuring individuals are treated with respect and dignity are the key foundations for great care. As a team, we work hard to support our residents to live the most normal and fulfilling lives possible, and we do so as one big happy family.


I’m incredibly proud of my team. We have an excellent working relationship and the support for each other makes each day at Coniston Court special!
