Located in a pleasant residential area of Eastbourne, Inglewood Nursing Home offers short- and long-term nursing and palliative care in charming, period-style accommodation with thoroughly modern facilities.

Within the home there is accommodation for up to 60 residents in bright, comfortable rooms set over two floors. Each room is equipped with a TV, nurse call system and an adjustable automatic bed. All rooms have large windows and attractive views over the picturesque garden, while some on the ground floor open out onto the secure courtyard.

Staff encourage all residents to personalise their room with favourite pictures, photographs, ornaments and small items of furniture, as this helps them to feel at home much more quickly.

There is lift access to the first floor and all areas are wheelchair accessible. Free Wi-fi is available throughout the home, which also has its own hair salon.

Nursing and care staff are on hand 24 hours a day, supported by dedicated chefs as well as activities, administration and housekeeping teams.

Staff really care about each one of the residents and aim to make them feel completely comfortable and at home, whatever the level of care required. Their relationship is central to how happy residents are at Inglewood, and staff work hard to build trusting relationships with both the resident and their family.


Visitors are welcome at any time and on-site parking is available.

My mother was at Inglewood for approximately 13 months. She had many medical problems and when she arrived she was very anxious and upset. The staff immediately reassured her and made her welcome. They dealt very well with all her problems and every member of staff from management, nursing, carers,
cleaners and cooks were kind, respectful and very caring. She was always singing their praises.

The staff were always friendly, helpful and supportive. The home was always clean and tidy. Mum enjoyed her stay her first in a nursing home and took part in all the activities which the staff ensured were varied and tailored to all capabilities.

As an RBL welfare worker, I had a member in Inglewood some years ago - probably near ten.
I was then impressed with his care and attention from Inglewood staff.
When my sister was in need of care I recommended Inglewood for two reasons. That previous experience, and, with a walking frame it was within
15 minutes plodding of my home.
I was not disappointed and she was happy but reclusive but not with staff who well supported her.

The staff at Inglewood, form the manager through to nursing, care and support workers, maintenance and housekeeping are all so very kind and welcoming. At a very difficult time for my family and me, everyone at the home has done all they could to support us and care for our father during his final days.

My mum came in Inglewood in September diagnosed with a brain tumour. They treated her amazingly all of the staff knew her by name, knew what she liked and respected her like she was part of their family until she sadly passed away. They did everything to help and treated her with dignity and respect
throughout.

My uncle was a resident at Inglewood Nursing Home for many years. He was a Parkinson's sufferer for decades who lived at home with the help of a carer until his condition required the services of a nursing home. He received excellent care and attention. He loved the food and was always requesting seconds.
The staff, all of the staff, are very caring and he had a smile for all of them. At the end he ws very very comfortable, pain free, and so very well cared for.

My husband went into Inglewood after his third stroke. The care he received and the friendliness of the staff and management were second to none. My husband passed away on 14th September at 4.25am with a nurse sitting with him holding his hand.
I was told immediately. When I arrived I was treated with
compassion and friendliness.
I visited every day and whoever was on duty, management, nurses, carers, chef, kitchen staff, cleaners or maintenance, were all very professional, friendly, helpful and caring.
I always went home knowing my husband was safe and well cared for.

Following a severe stroke, my Dad was given 1-2 months to live. We were given a shortlist of nursing homes by the hospital, 1 of which was Inglewood. As soon as we visited we were impressed by the ambience of the home. The rooms are extremely well presented and the communal areas pleasant both for residents
and visiting family. We obviously picked Inglewood and didn't regret our decision at all.


All the staff, through management, nurses, carers and housekeepers were caring both towards my Dad and visitors. They especially ensured that my mum was comfortable during her daily visits which often lasted about 4-5 hours giving her regular cups of coffee and popping in for a chat. As Dad deteriorated they ensured that he remained clean and comfortable. He battled on for 3 months until mid-September. The night he died a nurse regularly kept an eye on him and sat with him as he passed away. My family cannot thank them all enough for the care and dignity that they provided my Dad in his final months.

Having visited Inglewood twice per month for about 10 years, I can say it is a really good home. Lovely décor, friendly and capable staff, great variety of activities and very good care. An atmosphere of peace usually prevails and residents are mostly very content and comfortable. It is a real pleasure
to get to know both the residents, staff and visitors through our visits and a great privilege to sometimes visit and pray with those confined to bed. I thoroughly recommend this home.

My aunt was very well looked after at Inglewood at a very difficult time. All the staff were very kind, caring and efficient, both with my Aunt and all the family. The home has a good atmosphere and the gardens are lovely. I have not rated food and drink and activities as my aunt was too ill to appreciate
either, but have noticed very good!)

My aunt has stayed at Inglewood three times before this most recent stay. She is always made so very welcome by staff and residents alike. She has enjoyed her two and a half weeks respite and especially the mini bus trips out, the hairdresser, learning to play Scrabble, everything. She feels "at home"
and relaxed and now feels confident to make a decision about long term care.
