Located in a pleasant residential area of Eastbourne, Inglewood Nursing Home offers short- and long-term nursing and palliative care in charming, period-style accommodation with thoroughly modern facilities.

Within the home there is accommodation for up to 60 residents in bright, comfortable rooms set over two floors. Each room is equipped with a TV, nurse call system and an adjustable automatic bed. All rooms have large windows and attractive views over the picturesque garden, while some on the ground floor open out onto the secure courtyard.

Staff encourage all residents to personalise their room with favourite pictures, photographs, ornaments and small items of furniture, as this helps them to feel at home much more quickly.

There is lift access to the first floor and all areas are wheelchair accessible. Free Wi-fi is available throughout the home, which also has its own hair salon.

Nursing and care staff are on hand 24 hours a day, supported by dedicated chefs as well as activities, administration and housekeeping teams.

Staff really care about each one of the residents and aim to make them feel completely comfortable and at home, whatever the level of care required. Their relationship is central to how happy residents are at Inglewood, and staff work hard to build trusting relationships with both the resident and their family.


Visitors are welcome at any time and on-site parking is available.

On the whole, my brother received a high standard of care during his thirteen-month stay. Some staff carried out personal care more thoroughly and sensitively than others. Training could possibly improve some care assistants. I was always greeted courteously by the friendly receptionist and any problem
was usually dealt with efficiently. It is difficult for me to comment more helpfully as I was not on the recieveing end of the care.

I went to see my dear friend and as I go in, I am greeted by people at the desk and in the office - as there is usually something to chat about. As I wander down the hallway speaking to the girls, I notice that my friend is fast asleep so I read my book and eat my lunch - She wakes and I do not get
a word in edgeways! She can yap a hind leg off a donkey. The girls wander in and out and offer drinks. All very friendly and I feel at home. Very clean, light and airy in the room and I have no complaints - They look after all of their visitors very well.

My uncle has been a resident at Inglewood for three months and I have been very pleased with the care and attention he has received. All the staff are pleasant and have time to speak to me whenever I have a question and all staff are courteous and nothing is too much trouble. He has been very happy
and can joke and laugh with all the staff.
I would certainly recommend Inglewood to anyone looking for a nursing home.

My mother has been living at Inglewood since May this year. She is very happy and relaxed- the happiest I have seen her for years. She loves her room- filled with her own possessions, likes the food and most of all enjoys seeing the cheerful and caring staff. She feels well looked after. She goes on
a couple of outings a week in the minibus and gets out into the garden whenever she can. Now she feels so settled she is intending to join in with the daily activities on offer. She enjoys regular hairdressing and always looks smartly dressed. She loves the little extra treats that Inglewood provide.

Generally, the care and support are satisfactory/good and the atmosphere and staff make it a happy place. The food and drinks are always good and there are always activities to attend when I'm up to it. The home is kept clean and warm and we feel safe and secure. The staff are always friendly, helpful

Her care has been continuously of a very high standard, very professional but with concern and commitment for the human being she was. Superb. Dad had a fall at his residential home and after 5 weeks in hospital, he went to Inglewood Nursing Home. Dad needed assistance with everything. The care he received was beyond excellent and given with love and understanding.

The management team are always welcoming and ready to help. The sisters and carers are always cheerful and ready to help residents, sometimes under very difficult circumstances. Everywhere is kept clean. The gardens are neat, colourful and interesting. Very important to people who have given up their
homes and have enjoyed their garden. Lovely conservatory/lounge to sit in and look out of. Activities for residents/visitors varied and interesting. Excellent!

Looked after dad very well. Always very kind to him. A nursing home that has a very homely look and a lovely relaxed atmosphere for both residents and their visitors. Dad was unable to use the lounge very much due to the gradual deterioration of his condition but there were always lots of activities
going on for all levels and they included room visit activities.

My mum was very poorly and frail when she moved into Inglewood. Immediately she was well cared for by all the staff which did everything they could to make her comfortable and peaceful. The staff were also very kind and welcoming to us at any time of the day.

My stay was made very pleasant due to excellent management and wonderful staff. The accommodation was very pleasant, the room was kept very clean. The food was good although sometimes it arrived a bit cold. I couldn't have been looked after better.

I went in from hospital after surgery for post operation treatment and respite care. I was well treated by many helpful and friendly staff, who were always pleasant. Food was good, varied and well cooked. I took part in some activities when I felt better, which I enjoyed, the lovely garden which much
appreciated. One small point, some large print books would be useful for people with poor sight. I was well satisfied with the experience at Inglewood and would go there again If I ever required nursing care etc.

The staff at the home were helpful and caring in settling my husband in for a week's respite care. I was very satisfied by the way they looked after him and pleased by the way they provided activities and outings. I would definitely like my husband to stay at Inglewood again.

The cleanliness and ambience of the home is good, as is the food and laundry. The medical staff and carers are generally very good, though sometimes new staff take time to adjust to schedules and on occasion language. My mother is well cared for and staff are attentive. Reception is always welcoming.

Although my mum wasn't at Inglewood for long, the time she had there was lovely. Mum was made to feel special and her needs catered for. Even in her final hours the staff looked after Mum and the family that were there with her.

Mum arrived five weeks before she passed away from lung cancer to receive palliative care. We did not know at this point how long she had. She quickly settled in with the help of the nurses and carers. She had a lovely room with views of the pretty garden. The care she received was exceptional from
all members of staff. I didn't realise a nursing home would be so nice and welcoming. visiting mum daily we were constantly offered drinks and food too. Keep up the good work Inglewood.
