Coppice Court Care Home, situated just outside the popular seaside resort of Eastbourne, offers personalised nursing and nursing dementia care.

Having recently undergone a refurbishment programme which transformed communal areas including dining rooms, lounges/day rooms, the activities room, reception area, hair salon, bathrooms and corridors, Coppice Court provides contemporary but cosy living spaces. Each area was thoughtfully designed to enhance the daily life of every resident and support the mind, body and soul. The pretty landscaped garden and patio is the perfect spot to spend time with friends and family.

Recognising the nutritional needs of older people, the catering team at Coppice Court designed varied and delicious menus to offer residents a dining experience that they can look forward to. Meals can be enjoyed across the range of popular dining areas and for the warmer months the outdoor spaces are also firm favourites with residents and their loved ones to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining.

The dedicated and professional care team at Coppice Court take time to learn about each resident’s hobbies and interests, allowing them to curate an engaging and enriching activity programme, supporting residents to enjoy the things they love most. From building relationships with neighbours in local community groups and schools, to arranging sightseeing trips in the local area, at Coppice Court, residents are also encouraged to take an active role in the Eastbourne community.

What a home! Following the closing of my now 99-year-old mother, she was readily assessed for this home. Being unable to walk, feed herself or carry out any personal care due to Alzheimer's, this home has proved so caring providing all that is needed. The carers keep me fully informed as to my mother's
condition, progress and any activities!

My aunt appears to be well looked after but I find it very difficult to get to speak to anybody about her care, etc.
Requests for a footstool, lost clothing, medications, physio are listened too but nothing happens.
Never seen any management/facilities/activities.

Thank you for your review, we are delighted that you feel your family member is well cared for. The Home Manager and Deputy Manager visit residents daily and are available to answer any queries during office hours. We hope your questions were all answered during your meeting with the Deputy Manager in July and that your family member is happy with her recliner chair, as she was unable to use the footstool. Activities are provided on a daily basis in the home and the well-being activity programme is on display, we are happy to supply you with a copy upon request.

Regarding high-quality personal service provided by staff.
It was (Sunday 4th July 2021) my mother's 84th birthday - the staff at the home baked a cake and all sang "happy birthday" in my mother's room. It was an unexpected gift that brought a smile onto everybody's face.
It was my first visit to
the home and l was warmly welcomed by the staff. There is a real sense of quality and personal care provided and l left feeling that Mum was in good, professional hands by people who valued her identity, individuality and that her happiness and comfort really mattered to them. Well done Coppice Court Care Home staff.

Very, very clean. The team work very hard all day. The room is adequate but a bit small for the equipment that is needed for manual handling.

I have two medical conditions - A Fistula and Fibromyalgia. Both need attention and I cannot fault the staff in their care. I am also a vegetarian, though I do eat fish. On the whole, I can eat off the menu, but would welcome more vegetarian choice. I think I am the only vegetarian amongst the residents!

My father was a resident at Coppice Court for almost eighteen months, I was a regular visitor so have managed to formulate an opinion based on prolonged interaction, with the manager and her team.
I can say with absolute certainty that if you are in the position of having to find residential care for
a loved one, Coppice Court is where you want them to be. I attended many care homes and spoke with their respective managers and none put me at ease more than here. Eighteen months later I could not be more certain that Dad had been in the right place. Staff were kind, polite, attentive and showed genuine concern for his wellbeing and gave him the most comfortable final chapter of his life.
Choosing the right home is one of the last acts of kindness you may be able to give a loved one, so you want to know that you choose well. Do your homework, visit as many as possible but the manager has created an environment that all others should strive for, and be measured against.

Coppice Court continues to provide the excellent level of care today as they did during 2019. All residents can feel safe and well cared for. Management fully support the residents in all aspects of their life and with assessments from outside. They also make sure residents have everything they need
and there is so much interaction.
The nursing and care team are the most professional, kind, caring and compassionate I have known and nothing is too much trouble.
During Covid-19 this level of care has continued to the highest standards.

I think my room was a bit small but I survived. I do not think this is the appropriate time to ask these questions as we have been shut in our room since the beginning of March so we have been unable to do activities so not showering correctly as I cant. As for the rooms, I think they should be larger
for people with equipment and their home goods if they have given their home up to live here.

Thank you for you raising your concern with us and we are sorry that you had reason to do so. We understand that it has been a very difficult time for Residents to be confined to their rooms. Unfortunately the home did have an outbreak of covid-19 so this did have to be very carefully managed and we had to adhere to very strict government guidance during this period of time. This was to prevent further infection and ensure the safety of both Residents and staff. I am very pleased that the home managed to prevent further infections. Unfortunately we are not in a position to be able to change the size of the rooms however we are delighted that the home will be having a refurbishment starting in September for all the communal areas.

I have chosen a really comfortable home to live in beautiful views from my windows. The Eastbourne Sea Coast in front further coming in the Eastbourne Railway line then I look out onto a very lovely garden huge stretch by of grass and almond and cherry trees and many flowering shrubs, birdbaths hard
standing area to sit out on the lovely benches and also room for wheelchairs.

Coppice Court staff are amazing and helpful in all ways possible, my grandad loves it there and he's so lucky to get the care he's getting although he may be rude sometimes he's always smiling and gets along with many of the staff. The staff are all lovely and take care and pride in what they do, thank

My late father was a recent resident of Coppice Court and the care we received was second to none, all the staff go above and beyond their normal very high standards and nothing seems to be too much trouble. They are also trained to a very high standard with good communication with resident's family
members.
The staff there are led by extremely qualified leaders with their focus on residents' care, they should be commended on what they have achieved.
We can not thank them enough for the dedication and the support they showed to us as a family.

With some friends and family, we visited Coppice Court Care Home on the occasion of their summer garden party. As the weather was not good we were not able to hold it outside which was a great shame. However, the staff were very good making sure everyone had a drink and was ok. The entertainment was
good, everyone singing along. We then enjoyed an excellent buffet prepared by the kitchen staff.

to be treated.”


As a dedicated health care professional,
Natalie has gained a wealth of experience
in providing care and nursing support to
elderly people, to enrich their lives. She
is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader
who is passionate about delivering the
highest standards in care and quality of
life for Residents.


Having worked at Coppice Court since
2021, Natalie closely shares HC-One’s
vision is aiming to provide the kindest care
for each and every Resident. She extends
this caring approach to her Colleagues
and works closely with them to deliver
care and support Residents in a way
that they gain the most benefit, in a warm
and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about
her role, Natalie remarked: “That every
the day is different, I learn something new and
I can give back to the people who need it
most. This includes supporting our team
in achieving their goals in life”


Natalie has also achieved much
throughout her life, with her proudest
achievements were becoming a mother
and also moving into her role as
Home Manager.


Outside of work, Natalie enjoys spending
time with friends and family. She also
enjoys going on winter city holidays with
her family site seeing. The world is such a
beautiful place.
