St Peter’s Park Retirement Village (formerly known as Peterhouse Care and Nursing Home), is a real home-from-home in the East Sussex seaside town of Bexhill. The experienced staff provide high-quality, affordable nursing, residential, dementia, end of life, respite and convalescence care.

There really is something for everyone, to suit a range of different needs and tastes on the beautiful site. The lounges, dining rooms and residents’ bar mean there’s plenty of space for group activities. If you want some company, there’s always someone to talk to and to have a coffee with in the lounge. There are also plenty of quieter spots of you want to spend some time by yourself.

The care wing has bedrooms on the ground floor and the first floor. Ground floor rooms have direct access to the garden or courtyard. The first floor is fully accessible, by stairs or a lift.

Some rooms have en-suites. The rooms without en-suites have accessible toilets within easy reach.

The bedrooms are a blank canvas for residents to personalise with their own photos, pictures and furniture. Personal possessions help residents feel at home and provide extra stimulation and time for reminiscence. They also give staff an important understanding of a resident’s history and what’s important to them.

Unusually for a care home, all the bedrooms in the care wing have their own outside space, whether that’s a balcony or a terrace. There’s room for pots, a table and chairs.

My husband was a resident at St Peter's Park care home for palliative care for a short time until he passed away. I found all the staff and management to be extremely supportive and compassionate from the moment I began dealing with them and the care he received during his time there was outstanding.
The management, nursing and caring staff showed great empathy to all the family too during this difficult time, they demonstrated great compassion in all that they did for him and us.
I am grateful that he received such outstanding care in his final days and cannot thank them enough.

Wonderful room, My husband is cared got well, the staff are cheerful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. His clothes are washed and ironed beautifully and he is always clean and well cared for.

St Peter's Park Retirement Village is exactly that - flats, cottages, retirement home, care wing and nursing wing in a garden setting all well cared for and maintained.
My husband is newly in the care wing with which I can find no fault, staff and care, food and cleanliness are excellent. My husband
has late-stage dementia so unable to complete or understand this review but is receiving the very best of care.

From the moment we arrived to see the care home up until he passed away the standard of care and compassion shown for him and us as a family was exemplary. The management and nursing and caring staff were extremely supportive,
informative and showed great compassion in all that they did for him and us.
We are so grateful that this was the place in which he spent his final days and cannot thank them enough for their support throughout this difficult time.

I am so relieved to have found such a good nursing home for my sister. The staff are friendly and most helpful. After spending six weeks in the hospital, my sister moved to St Peter's Park, and I am delighted to say that both physically and mentally, there is a great improvement in her condition.

This has been the second time that my mother-in-law has stayed for respite at St Peter's Park. We always have a warm greeting when we arrive and the staff can't do enough for us! They are so kind and helpful. The meals are lovely and my mother-in-law says that everyone is pleasant and friendly. It is
always clean. We would recommend St Peter's Park. The grounds are kept immaculate and we have a lovely view of squirrels and birds from the windows and door.

My mother spent the last couple of years of her life at St. Peter’s and received outstanding care. Sadly, she died recently, but in the weeks leading up to her death the staff were extremely

My family and I are so grateful for the care and compassion shown to my mother during her 2 and a half years at St Peter's Park and especially during her last days. My father took up residence at St Peter's Park for end of life care. His room and facilities were excellent. The nurses and carers who looked after Dad were brilliant, compassionate and caring through to the end of his life. My sister and I knew that he was in safe hands at all times, which gave us
great comfort. The care and professionalism of the management and staff is truly exemplary and I can't praise them enough.

St Peter's care home was really terrific in looking after my mother. All of the staff, with no exception, were very attentive, never over-intensive, and nothing was ever too much trouble. They made her and the whole family very welcome. When my mother took a downward turn, the staff really stepped up.
The room was roomy with a lovely outlook.
I could not recommend them more highly.

Very happy staff. When entering the reception, the ladies always ask how I am and vice versa! The care staff and nurses always ask me/us the same question and proceed to feedback info on Mum and the antics she's been up to! I love them all. My dad's in the nursing part of the home. Again, wonderful,
pleasant, happy staff. I feel they are all my friends. They're led by a great manager. Thanks.
