So far so good.
Nearly all the staff are very good and welcoming.
I feel very welcomed when I visit and most know my name. Both our son and daughter feel the same.
Occasionally I do feel his clothes need changing, I've also supplied electric shaver but it's not always used.
Apart from that - all
good.

Mum has been at Sovereign Lodge since July 2024, her recovery from a 2nd serious stroke has been amazing due to the care and attention from all the staff. From the beginning I have felt Mum has been well attended and safe which is a weight off my mind and as a result Mum is eating, drinking and able,
with help to now be a part of the activities in the lounge, being able to join Mum for lunch and help her eat has been good as she is more willing to enjoy her food. Overall Mum being at Sovereign Lodge has given Mum and me the hope of the best care for what is ahead.

Sovereign Lodge has a warm and caring environment. Staff are kind and considerate with my mum in particular and everyone generally. I cannot praise them enough. They provide the best care under sometimes, tricky circumstances.
I can go away knowing my mum is safe and well looked after.

Due to my mum's Dementia, she could no longer live in her own home so after much searching, we chose Sovereign Lodge Care Centre for my mum. I feel that this has certainly been the right choice and the right place for her. The staff are kind and caring and always attentive. My mum has settled in now
and has a lovely spacious room. The staff are so friendly and always at hand for any advice or questions.
There are always plenty of staff on duty and a nurse on duty 24 hours a day. There are activities each day and a lovely summer house in the garden if family want to come in and have private time. Communication is very good and the home works with you to make sure your needs are met.
Most importantly thank you to all the staff for being so caring.

My father was very well cared for during the few months he was at Sovereign Lodge Care Centre. The staff were always very, very helpful and friendly. I found the whole team to be very organised and up to date with everything relating to the care of my father and worked with efficiency keeping me up
to date with everything aspect of his care. I would like to thank everyone who cared for my father and appreciate everything that was done to make the end of his life as comfortable as possible .

On each visit to see my dad I am always struck by the warmth shown by each and every staff member and their care which is exemplary. Every person is so kind and I am always put at ease. I have visited my Brother every week for the last few weeks, I have always been met by friendly staff. His room is spotlessly clean and comfortable. It really is a home-from-home. My Brother tells me the food is very good and although he cannot do all the activities he likes to watch. I cannot fault

All staff from the management, reception, nurses, carers, cleaners and activities coordinators are very welcoming and helpful. My relatives room is spacious, clean and homely. The garden pod is a useful meeting place that allows 'time out'. I would recommend this home.

Dad was admitted to Sovereign Lodge for end-of-life care, consequently, he was unable to use the facilities, access activities, or select food choices. He seemed to be treated with dignity whenever we visited. Dad stayed for approx. 4 weeks. Most of the final 2 weeks he was sleeping.

I cannot thank Sovereign Lodge enough for the amazing care they provided my dad. They were always so thoughtful, constantly thinking of his needs and making changes to improve his care and to keep the best quality of life possible. They treated him with so much respect and dignity, taking the time to
get to know him and his personality (in particular his sense of humour) in order to tailor the care to his particular needs. They offered help with making the room more homely by hanging pictures and rearranging the furniture and putting on events for families to be part of - we will always have a fond memory of the Easter Egg hunt they put on for the children visiting at Easter. The staff were always cheerful and made me and my family feel welcome and cared for, offering so much support to us as we dealt with the difficult changes.
I would highly recommend this care home to others.

I don't have enough words to thank everyone at Sovereign Lodge. All the staff showed my husband great kindness and respect without fail, regardless of which department they worked in. Both management and nursing care were excellent. They always made me and my family very welcome, were very supportive
and kept us well informed. They clearly understand the enormity of having to move a loved one into care and the importance of doing everything in their power to make their time there the best possible. Thank you!

Sovereign Lodge has proved to be 'Simply the best' in caring for my mum. All areas are clean and bright with warm colour schemes. The staff are cheerful and helpful. I always feel listened to and any concerns are discussed and acted upon. The chef is wonderful and the food is lovely, having had lunch
with Mum a number of times. Activities are varied to keep the residents fit, healthy and motivated both physically and mentally when able. Trips into the garden for fresh air are key and this is organised as frequently as possible. Different musician's visits are excellent and a sing along always popular. I appreciate the staff knowing who my mum is and calling her by name and having a chat, it makes residents feel loved and cared for as though they are part of a family that makes Sovereign Lodge the special place that it is.

Sovereign Lodge is a wonderful care home with approachable and caring staff who care for my dad's overall needs not just physical ones. Mum has a lovely room and says the nursing staff and carers are very kind and treat her with respect. She loves the activity coordinators who are so enthusiastic and have engaged her in exercise classes, music and face painting! Amongst many other things. She has been at the care home since March and

My mother has been at Sovereign Lodge for nearly 2 years in September. I cannot praise the home, or the staff, for the better life they have given my mother, in all aspects of her care. The carers are fantastic, the management super, and all nursing staff brilliant, activities are well executed by the
activity ladies and plenty of it around. The cook is an excellent, brilliant cook and all other members of staff, do an excellent job all around. Always will recommend this home to anyone who asks.

I am passionate about delivering person-centred care to our residents and maintaining their independence as much as possible. It is a big adjustment for a resident to leave their own house and be in a nursing home, thus we as a team help them feel welcomed and ensure a homely environment.


The best part of my working day is knowing that I have made a difference in someone's life and have helped them through a difficult situation. Knowing that a resident is satisfied with the care we provide is the greatest achievement for me at the end of the day."

I wished to be part of this growing company and be able to contribute my knowledge and skills, at the same time learning and growing with the company.


Before I came to Healthcare Homes I was an
administrator/receptionist for a different provider.
I think a person needs to be knowledgeable or must be willing to learn. You must be people orientated, know how to deal with different kinds of people in a friendly but professional manner. Must be well organised and know how to manage time. Stay calm.


The favourite part of my working day is being able to help out with the team. Completing tasks and being ready to accept more. Meeting new people.


The biggest professional challenge in my current role was moving from a corporate company where I had been for 5 years to a smaller but growing company. Luckily enough, after a few weeks of intensive training, I was able to adapt and settle quickly into my new home. Thanks to the most friendly and accommodating staff/residents and relatives of Sovereign Lodge and those at our operations office Apex.


My biggest career highlight to date? I am quite happy to see the progression of my career over the span of six years.


Qualities that make me stand out are;
A good home manager must have good leadership and at the same time be caring and have a passionate heart. Time management is also very important.


My interests outside of work are spending time with my little boy, playing in the sand or swimming together. I also like watching movies and shopping.
