The care home offers a wide range of accommodation options and beautiful, wheelchair-friendly landscaped gardens designed for a gentle stroll or relaxing walk. Situated at the eastern end of the South Downs, near the famous Beachy Head beauty spot – a regular route for residents on the Community Minibus.

The treatment received was caring and thoughtful from all staff. Some of the meals were a little hit-and-miss but plentiful, no one would go hungry.

Warmly welcomed and all facilities and activities explained. Introduced to other residents and found all members of staff extremely polite and helpful. Any worries or concerns were soon resolved and I managed to happily settle down very quickly. My accommodation was extremely clean and contained all
that was required for my stay, the dining staff were most efficient and understanding of individual needs.

We are very happy that she has been living happily at Signature for some years now. Over recent months she has become more and more frail and is now bedridden. We visit almost every day and we cannot praise the Signature staff enough. They are so professional in their care and extremely gentle and kind
with her. Her safety is also a priority, and she has been provided with a floor bed and mats. We are informed of her progress regularly, and the staff encourage us to ask questions if we have any concerns.

Very likely - management and carers have impressed me with their care of my sister. Visiting once a fortnight, I have seen many carers at work - all exhibit patience, kindness and cheerfulness. Alterations have been made to the care routine to allow for increasing age a debility. I am so grateful that
I now feel confident of this care and respect for my sister.

Both our parents have lived in Signature for four years and have both had excellent care and attention. Both have had health issues and times of difficulty. We cannot fault the care and quick attention to anyone's requirements from all the staff, medical, catering and admin. All the staff have remained
respectful and understanding to us the family, and through Covid, kept our parents safe and in extreme difficulties. It is very hard to have your parents in care, and we are very pleased we chose Signature.

My father initially went into Signature for respite but liked it so much he decided to stay on a permanent basis. The staff are very caring and friendly, and visitors are always welcome. I feel the care he gets is excellent, and he is very happy. Activities provided are varied, interesting and plentiful.
We are very pleased with the care and attention he gets.

I was unable to manage at home and came for respite. I liked it so much, I decided on a permanent placement. All the staff are wonderful and always have time for you. I really enjoy having good interactions and laughing with them. I am cared for very well, and nothing is too much trouble. I don't always
like what's on the menu, but there is always an alternative on offer. I enjoy the activities on offer and am happy here.

I have made friends with many of the residents and formed a lasting friendship with one lady, in particular, whilst staying at Signature at Eastbourne. The medical and care staff have been outstanding and have helped me to recover from a long illness. I also feel the non-medical, social team, concierge
and managers do a fine job keeping the standard of the home high.

My 85-year-old terminally sick father was discharged from the hospital into Signature Eastbourne care home. He had dementia and required fairly intense palliative care. I chose the home due to its outstanding rating on the care quality commission site. I was not disappointed. The level of care exceeded
all my expectations. Communication was also excellent. All staff were superb. I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

I have been visiting my friend regularly since the end of May 2021. She has found it difficult to settle. We do not feel that reflects on Sunrise, who have made a great effort to accommodate her, and Covid restrictions have not helped the situation. We hope these will be lifted in the foreseeable future.

My parents, who are both in their nineties, came to Sunrise for a two-week respite break. Both were particularly anxious about leaving their own home, and the need to isolate (under Covid rules) for up to 3 days after arrival. We were impressed by how kind and thoughtful the staff were in helping them
prepare for their stay and giving them the reassurance they needed. They received a warm welcome on arrival, and the high standard of accommodation, excellent facilities and quality of care offered throughout their stay gave them the opportunity for the relaxing break they needed. I would highly recommend Sunrise to anyone looking for respite care.

We needed a care setting for Dad at Christmas and the height of the pandemic following a sudden bereavement. My mother came for respite care in reminiscence at a time of crisis for the family, following a fall and a recent diagnosis of dementia, which appears to be advanced in some areas.
Every part of our contact with the team, and your care for Mum was fantastic. Kind, supportive and understanding. You

Job Title: General Manager

When I  joined the home in 2016 initially working as a Nurse it was love at first sight! When I first walked in it felt like “coming home” to a unique and special place whose ethos and unique approach to care shone out and I instantly felt part of something special. Moving on to become a Dementia Care Manager I led an amazing team in the Memory Care Neighbourhood that is dedicated to providing enriched person-centred care in a unique, stimulating and safe environment, together we reached dizzy heights winning a National Care Award for Resident Engagement in 2017 and becoming finalists in the National Dementia Awards for the Best Dementia Team!


After 3 years as Deputy Manager, I took on the role of  General Manager of Eastbourne Gardens. I strive every day to ensure we are and will always be a special place and a happy home. Our Residents are truly inspirational and make every day a joy. I am proud to be part of a passionate team that endeavours to lead the way as a centre of excellence in care. At Eastbourne Gardens, the sun is always shining.

I originally worked at Eastbourne Gardens from 2007 for just over 5 years before returning 10 years later. The things that have remained constant throughout that time are the dedication and unfaltering kindness my colleagues deliver every day. Every day is different, there is always something going on which makes you smile. We are committed to filling the resident's days with happy moments. My role is to market our home and welcome new residents into it while dealing with professionals and family members. Offering support when making a significant decision at a critical time. We have a beautiful product, lovely food, a great activities programme (including minibus outings) and caring staff, all coupled with happy residents and family members.

Job Title: Nurse Care Manager

I have been a nurse for 20 years and before I left Romania I was the Occupational Health Nurse for a petroleum/chemical company. In 2010 I came to the UK and joined Eastbourne Gardens in 2012 as a Bank Nurse. I was so impressed with the beautiful environment, the calm and welcoming atmosphere and the Signature ethos of care that I joined the company as a full-time Wellness Nurse. In 2015 I stepped up for six months into the Nurse Care Manager role before being appointed permanently.


I enjoy leading a team of dedicated nurses and care assistants who want to ensure our residents' lives are fulfilled to the best of their abilities. No two days are the same and I enjoy caring for our seniors and seeing them flourish. It is so rewarding when new residents arrive and I watch them make friends and start enjoying the many activities on offer and the fabulous food as they become part of our family.
