The care home offers a wide range of accommodation options and beautiful, wheelchair-friendly landscaped gardens designed for a gentle stroll or relaxing walk. Pet friendly, so your four-legged friends can also move in. Situated at the eastern end of the South Downs, near the famous Beachy Head beauty spot – a regular route for residents on the Community Minibus.

Sunrise House always makes me feel like I have come to a rather expensive hotel. The decor is classy and appealing, with a lovely layout and cosy feel. The residents' rooms are a little clinical, but maybe that is due to medical needs. The staff are friendly, helpful and observant. The floor manager,
who welcomes everyone is very diligent and caring. If anyone had the funds, I would recommend this place.

My decision to become a resident here was made a year ago, after realising I was unable to manage in my house on my own following recent (successful) emergency surgery. I could not have coped with the ensuing 12 months stress of dealing with the sale of my house, were it not for the daily care, companionship,
security, smiles and meals available to me at Sunrise, but absent from my house. I now look forward to the future with a degree of optimism and confidence I have not enjoyed for many years!

My mother lived for just over a year in Reminiscence (dementia care). Staff cared for her with kindness and patience and made sure she was well-cared for. Many of the staff took time to get to know Mum and took a friendly interest in her history and family including carers, nurses and catering staff.
The staff are all very professional in their approach.
The environment is rather like a hotel and it is very pleasant for residents. Nursing care was excellent and very attentive as was the end of life care that our mother received.
This was not the first care home our mother lived in, but it was very much better than our mother's previous care home elsewhere owing to the attitude of all of the staff.

Sunrise is a clean and happy place to live in. The staff are always friendly, cheerful and helpful. There are outings and activities taking place daily but no one is forced to join in if they don't choose to do and there is plenty of space. It is rather like a first-class hotel.

We were very pleased with how smoothly things went when my mother moved in. The staff were extremely friendly and professional at the same time. It was a stressful time for my mother but everyone there makes things a lot easier than I feared. Since she has been there she has been able to be much more
sociable and is building up a collection of friends to chat with. Whenever there is something relevant, I get an email from the Sunrise staff informing me. Not the cheapest care home but it has turned out to be very good and I am very glad my mum is there.

As soon as you walk through the door you realise there is something special about Sunrise. It is hard to exaggerate how grateful I am for the care, compassion and dignity shown to my father in the last few months of his life when he moved to Sunrise. It is the small things that make a difference. Every
single staff member gives their best. Had he chosen to move in sooner he would have benefited from all the activities and support to be even more independent. I can recommend this as a first class care home.

The care and attention given to my Mother during the last 3.5 years has been extremely good. It could have been a difficult transition from independent living to living in the Sunrise Community for her and her family. Staff at all levels from front of house reception through to the nurses, carers and
domestic staff worked hard to provide as best they could for my Mother 24 hours per day 7 days per week. They welcomed all members of the family when we visited showing individual knowledge regarding Mum's health and well being. Much respect was shown to her with encouragement and understanding. If ever any worries came our way we could approach senior team members and higher management.

The carers are always friendly and happy to see us. We visit every week. My mother's room is clean and tidy, this includes the en-suite bathroom. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. There always seems to be something going on to celebrate something. The staff seem to put a lot of thought into these
activities.
All in all a nice facility. I'd like to book myself in!

My stepmother appears to be very and settled at Sunrise. The staff are always very welcoming and willing to help. Nothing is too much trouble. All the residents I see with staff seem to be treated with love and respect. The atmosphere is friendly. There is a good programme of activities and outings
for the residents and, although my stepmother can never remember doing anything or going anywhere I know that she participates regularly. Her happiness is paramount and Sunrise achieves this.

From entrance to all areas at Sunrise Senior Living, ALL staff are very charming and helpful and polite. I receive prompt attention to my enquiries and any needs are sorted promptly.
As a visitor, I feel that Sunrise is my father's 'home' and the staff are as part of the family.
The food is superb
and dining service very good. Overall a superb experience.
One remarkable experience is that there are no unpleasant smells!
It's a pleasure to visit Sunrise.

Always find it very pleasant to visit Mum at Sunrise. Very friendly front desk greetings and each member of staff are open and engaging. The premises are clean and colourful and very good to be able to use the bistro facilities. Never see any miserable or grumpy residents so all must be good in house.

Job Title: General Manager

When I  joined the home in 2016 initially working as a Nurse it was love at first sight! When I first walked in it felt like “coming home” to a unique and special place whose ethos and unique approach to care shone out and I instantly felt part of something special. Moving on to become a Dementia Care Manager I led an amazing team in the Memory Care Neighbourhood that is dedicated to providing enriched person-centred care in a unique, stimulating and safe environment, together we reached dizzy heights winning a National Care Award for Resident Engagement in 2017 and becoming finalists in the National Dementia Awards for the Best Dementia Team!


After 3 years as Deputy Manager, I took on the role of  General Manager of Eastbourne Gardens. I strive every day to ensure we are and will always be a special place and a happy home. Our Residents are truly inspirational and make every day a joy. I am proud to be part of a passionate team that endeavours to lead the way as a centre of excellence in care. At Eastbourne Gardens, the sun is always shining.

Job Title: Client Liaison Manager

I originally worked at Eastbourne Gardens from 2007 for just over 5 years before returning 10 years later. The things that have remained constant throughout that time are the dedication and unfaltering kindness my colleagues deliver every day. Every day is different, there is always something going on which makes you smile. We are committed to filling the resident's days with happy moments. My role is to market our home and welcome new residents into it while dealing with professionals and family members. Offering support when making a significant decision at a critical time. We have a beautiful product, lovely food, a great activities programme (including minibus outings) and caring staff, all coupled with happy residents and family members.

Job Title: Nurse Care Manager

I have been a nurse for 20 years and before I left Romania I was the Occupational Health Nurse for a petroleum/chemical company. In 2010 I came to the UK and joined Eastbourne Gardens in 2012 as a Bank Nurse. I was so impressed with the beautiful environment, the calm and welcoming atmosphere and the Signature ethos of care that I joined the company as a full-time Wellness Nurse. In 2015 I stepped up for six months into the Nurse Care Manager role before being appointed permanently.


I enjoy leading a team of dedicated nurses and care assistants who want to ensure our residents' lives are fulfilled to the best of their abilities. No two days are the same and I enjoy caring for our seniors and seeing them flourish. It is so rewarding when new residents arrive and I watch them make friends and start enjoying the many activities on offer and the fabulous food as they become part of our family.

As a team, we help our residents to embrace each day to ensure it is filled with purpose and laughter. Every month we put on themed events that bring our residents together with their friends and families. I joined the home in January 2013 and every day is still filled with happy daily surprises.
