Arundel Park Lodge provides residential and nursing care to up to 30 people with a range of needs.

Located in the seaside village of Saltdean, on the south coast, residents can use direct bus routes to both Brighton and Newhaven. There is a large park opposite with a bowls club and nearby are parades of shops and the promenade.

The home looks not unlike a Spanish villa and its sea views, gardens and sun terrace strengthen that atmosphere. The home also features a dining room and two lounges, one of which has views over the sea, and seating in the garden where residents can enjoy the sea air.

The activities coordinator organises a range of group and one to one activities inside the home as well as regular outings and day trips. Food is nutritionally balanced and homecooked, with residents being supported in eating and drinking.

My mum was looked after with the utmost care and compassion for two years.
She passed away in September 2020. The staff couldn't have been more caring at her end. They helped us celebrate her 90th birthday two weeks before she died. They then informed us when they thought she was slipping away.
They did all they could at her end to ensure she was comfortable and the family were met with kindness and understanding.

I would like to say that everyone is very helpful and keeps you informed. Also, it is nice that you can sit in the garden. Everything is clean and the food is lovely and freshly cooked. Also, the care of the residents is done in a caring manner.

Staff are kind, gentle happy and welcoming.
The home has a lovely clam and happy feel. There is great entertainment arranged for the residents.

Arundel Park Lodge care and nursing is where I go to see my sister-in-law and receive a warm welcome from all the staff and management. I always feel I am around friends that I have known for years. Excellent.

My father has been resident at Arundel Park Lodge about 3 months now. The standard of his care is excellent. He is always clean, presentable, has been given a shave and haircut. He enjoys the food that is served very much. Entertainment is provided in the afternoons in the form of bingo, quizzes, talks
etc so all residents get involved. At Christmas, every resident received a present. On my father's birthday, a cake was made and everyone wished him a happy birthday and sang happy birthday.

My son, aged 45, has advanced Huntington's Disease and was cared for and looked after extremely well at Arundel Park Lodge by all staff with compassion and kindness. They ensured that he had as much enjoyment as is possible given his terrible condition.

The home is very welcoming, warm and friendly. It offers a comfortable environment in recently renovated bedrooms. Staff are communicative, caring and willing to help. I have always had open and transparent communication with all staff. My mother settled into the home well and enjoys what it offers.

My aunt has been a resident at Arundel Park since 2015 and in all this time I have been entirely satisfied with the care she has received from all the staff. There is a very peaceful and happy atmosphere in the home. The staff are always courteous and gentle with my aunt and she appears to be quite
content. My aunt has a very pleasant room which is kept clean and tidy. Although my aunt does not have a great appetite her meals are presented well and she is encouraged to eat as much as she can.
I cannot think of a better place for my aunt to be.

I have worked for Whytecliffe Ltd in various capacities since 1995 and have been the Registered Manager since January 2017.
I have a background in social care since 1991 and have worked in a number of settings including residential, nursing and have also worked in the training sector delivering National Vocational Qualifications, Diplomas in Health & Social Care and Management.
My career has been varied and this has supported my personal development into my current role.
