Aniska Lodge is a care home offering nursing and dementia care. Those with physical disabilities and learning difficulties in need of nursing care can also be cared for at Aniska Lodge. Staff are carefully selected and trained to meet individual residents' needs.

Set in a Grade II listed building, the home offers bright, comfortable ensuite bedrooms which residents are encouraged to personalise. The two large lounges and dining rooms are ideal for socialising, listening to music and watching the television, while quieter areas are available for residents to read and relax in peace.

The home offers an extensive menu for each meal, which can be served in individual bedrooms, the dining room or on the terrace in good weather. All food is prepared onsite by Aniska Lodge's chef.

Residents have access to a range of facilities and activities, including visits from entertainers and school children, and various outings on a regular basis.

Mum was admitted to Aniska Lodge due to her need for nursing of Alzheimers care. She was unable to make use of many of the facilities due to her illness but other residents seemed very happy. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Mum was always nicely dressed in clean clothes and was showered
often.

My mother passed away at Aniska Lodge on 7th March 2023. The palliative care she received was excellent and I was treated with such kindness as well. I was allowed to stay by her bedside and spent her last forty-eight hours with her which meant so much and I am sure it gave her much comfort. I can't
praise Aniska Lodge enough, my heartfelt gratitude goes out to them all.

The staff were excellent in looking after my father, at all times they showed professionalism. They kept me informed on a regular basis of his health and any concerns that they felt I should be aware of. Most of all I am grateful that they contacted me so that I could say goodbye to my father. The administration
side was easy to deal with and explained in an easy-to-understand package.

The care home was always clean and my mother was always well-presented. The staff showed great caring and compassion for both my mother and family. We were well informed about any changes to her condition/needs. She was always shown respect even though she could not communicate. I would not hesitate
to recommend this home to anyone.

The care home was overall excellent. Management, care and the support network were amazing.
My father was disappointed with the food but to be fair he is extremely fussy - he requires his food to be liquidised.

I can't rate all the facilities because my mother was only in Anisja Lodge for a week before she died. I was really impressed by their responsiveness and efficient communication. However, I was in a difficult position, having to find a dementia nursing place with short notice, and Aniska Lodge filled
the bill. They assessed and admitted her within a week and then provided thoughtful terminal care, which was needed.

My aunt seems very contented at Anisha Lodge. She says that she likes the staff and that they are kind to her. She has expressed some surprise that sometimes she is bathed by a man, but on the whole, seems amused at this! I have sat while she eats her lunch, which looks of good quality, as is her appetite.

My very good friend was in for the last months of her life. All the staff - care staff, cleaners and chef were so helpful and friendly. She settled in very well. Aniska Lodge has a great team of friendly and helpful staff. It is clean, efficient and all down to good friendly management. I cannot recommend
it highly enough. Well managed, friendly and clean. A great place to end one's life.

My lovely mum became a resident on the 31st of December 2021. Initially, I was very worried and stressed about Mum going into care. I needn't have worried. Mum was looked after to a high standard and all the staff were lovely. Mum loved to dance and they encouraged her, I would often get videos sent
to me of Mum having a good boogie! I can't thank the team enough for showing real affection to my mum. Thank you.

Dad was only there for two weeks but he always looked immaculate, clean, shaved. Bedding always clean. All staff very caring and attentive. Aniska Lodge took covid seriously. Staff always kept us informed and thoughtful calls.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but the care shown to our dad was outstanding. Every member of staff showed him kindness and compassion. He was given dignity in every way. Cannot say enough how good the staff were and not just with him, every patient was treated with kindness and respect in some difficult
situations. Our dad was clean, fed, safe, and that helped us get through the hardest of times.

Aniska Lodge's greatest asset is its staff. Always cheerful and friendly. Happy to do any requests when asked with a smile. Never had any concerns about Mum's care. Always kept informed of anything that involved Mum. The manager must take a lot of credit as believe good practice comes from the top.

My mother came to Aniska Lodge from hospital and although she was a resident for only a short while I would not hesitate to recommend Aniska Lodge. The staff were caring, friendly, and professional to my Mum and all the family. I was also kept very well informed at all stages regarding my Mum's care.
Her room was bright and clean and she was very comfortable.

My mother had the misfortune to go into Aniska Lodge during the covid pandemic for the last few months of her life, however, under extremely difficult times/stresses the staff did their utmost best to ensure my mother was as comfortable as could be and that we could visit her whenever possible even
though this was restricted by covid regulations. I would happily recommend Aniska Lodge to anyone who needs care.

My brother was discharged from the hospital to Aniska Lodge in December last year. Throughout his stay, the manager and other staff at the home made sure I was kept informed of every significant detail, and the care he has received has been wonderful. Particularly during the times when I was unable
to visit during the Covid restrictions, I am very appreciative of knowing that he was in such good hands.
