My husband has been at Ashton Grange for nearly two years, he has always received the best possible care that meet his needs,The staff are always very friendly towards me and other visitors.
He and all the other residents are treated like family members which comes across in how they treat the
residents.(as if it were their own family they were caring for)
The manager is always available to talk to if I have any concerns or suggestions that not only concern my husband but in general as well.
The Kitchen staff do a fantastic job and will make sure everyone has what they want to eat,
We booked the front lounge for my husbands birthday, so all the family could come and help him celebrate in one area, the room was decorated along with some drinks and sandwiches and they made a lovely birthday cake that they brought in with about 6 members of staff.
There are daily activities for all the residents with outside entertainers going in a couple of times in the month

The manager is always available to answer our questions.
Staff kindness and compassion was top-notch and made a real difference to Mum.
The kitchen staff were only too happy to cook whatever Mum wanted. (Thank you to the chef)

I am very happy with the care my mother receives at Ashton Grange Nursing Home. Staff check on her regularly, which is important for someone who is bed-bound. She is treated with respect and dignity and the staff are always cheerful and positive. My mother enjoys the food and they make sure that she
is hydrated, which can be a challenge for those with dementia. Birthdays are a special event here. Staff created a special birthday party for my mother and her family with many grandchildren/great-grandchildren to attend. She loved it!

I found everybody very helpful and caring, nothing is too much trouble and my mother is very well looked after. She is always praising the staff. There is a lot of entertainment for the residents and they all seem to be enjoying themselves.

My stepdad has been at Ashton Grange for 20 months. I have found all the staff working here to be caring and compassionate and the home is very well managed. They organise different activities and often send me photos of my stepdad taking part. I am kept informed of any changes to his health and that
inspires confidence. Carers, nurses and management are all equally happy to take the time to answer any questions.
As his medical needs change, everyone is well-informed and acts on new information immediately.
I'm very happy with the continuing care that he receives.

My relative was a resident at Ashton Grange for 10 years. We struggled to find a suitable place for the complex needs that would require professional care, whilst also meeting everyday needs and care.
My family and my relative were extremely happy with all the care aspects given i.e. nursing, carers,
social interactions, catering and cleaning.
A very well-managed home run by an excellent manager with a great well-trained friendly compassionate team.
Most of all my relative was happy, felt secure. Felt understood and genuinely felt like an integral part of the family as a whole.

We always find the staff kind, caring and attentive. They provide a range of activities for the residents throughout the week to keep them active and help with their cognitive functions. Since our friend moved here, it has been a relief to know how well cared for she has been. The management keeps us
informed, provides regular updates on our friend, and arranges family activities for friends and relatives to attend. It really is an excellent testament to how a care home should be run.

Really friendly nursing home, very clean and tidy and all residents look very well cared for. My parents are both comfortable and safe and have their medical needs taken care of. Some parts of the building could do with updating and upgrading but this does not affect comfort or safety.

My Mum spent a year in Ashton Grange, I cannot thank the staff enough for all the care and support she received. From the first day she was there I no longer had to worry, I knew she was safe, her progress was amazing. All staff go above and beyond, I can honestly not praise them enough, the love and
kindness they showed her was truly genuine. My Mum started to laugh again and enjoy life, she absolutely adored the staff, they built up a bond which was very touching for me and my family. She was always clean and well looked after, I was able to phone daily and speak with her and I was always kept informed with regards to her welfare. The activities that are provided for the residents are always inclusive and stimulating, I really enjoy seeing the pictures of everyone on their Facebook page and have many treasured memories from these. Unfortunately my Mum had a stroke, but she returned from hospital to pass away with people she loved, I will always be forever grateful to Ashton Grange.

My mother entered the home for respite care, but the care she received was so good that we decided it was best for her to stay. I have seen nothing but warmth and gentleness for my mum and for the other residents. She is treated with utmost respect and care for her dignity. The home is clean and welcoming
always. The staff clearly know my mum incredibly well. On her very first day, the senior nurse noticed how distracted Mum is when she eats and arranged for someone to be with her at mealtimes to help her. That is something that we were aware of but had never persuaded others to take seriously before. The staff are also very kind to me and my family, and they keep us up to date all the time. They are never too busy to listen to a concern, or just to reassure. The relief I feel at Mum being so well cared for is unbelievable. I would really recommend Ashton Grange to anyone whose loved one has dementia.

My mother went into this care home in March 2022 with dementia, she has been looked after so well I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be. I love going to visit her every week and I'm sure she is quite happy that the staff are amazing and it's a lovely friendly home.

My mum in law was extremely poorly when she first came to the home. With kindness care and exceptional support, mum spent the last year of her life at Ashton Grange, her life was happy comfortable and all that it should be. The staff were exceptional. Mum went out and was able to take part in activities.
Mum could not have had better care. We as a family cannot thank the staff enough.

My name is Joseph. I am the home manager of Ashtongrange nursing home . I qualified as a nurse and worked in health sector for last 22 years . I have been working in Ashtongrange for more than 8 years .


As a registered manager , I know how important it is for residents and their family members to receive regular information and updates regarding their care and what is happening in the nursing home.


I like to spend time with my residents and this is one of my favourite part of my daily activities at work . I seek regular feedback from family and my team at Ashtongrange so that we can improve the quality of our care .


Outside of work , I like to spend time with my family and friends , cooking and playing football with my son.
