My Mother is a resident of Ashton Grange. The team at Ashton Grange are attentive, supportive and professional - all the attributes that you would expect from a team looking after a loved one full time. In my opinion, the team are very well-led. Communication from Ashton Grange to me is regular, helpful
and supportive.

Our auntie has been a resident at Ashton Grange for two years, she is blind and has dementia but has settled in and is very comfortable. The care team are extremely attentive and caring and when they can, they will encourage her to the lounge where she enjoys the entertainment of music and song.
Throughout
the difficult time of the covid virus, the team have constantly kept us updated with her welfare and wellbeing.
We would highly recommend Ashton Grange as auntie can have high days and low days but the attention she receives from the team shows that they know her requirements very well. Well done to all concerned.

My husband spent six months at Ashton Grange and was extremely well cared for. Although he was suffering from dementia he was very fond of the staff and was never distressed about any of his care. He did contract COVID-19 and was in hospital for a few weeks. When he returned to Ashton Grange he had
lost a lot of weight but was obviously pleased to be back. Sadly he died very peacefully a few weeks later but his care was always exemplary.

Although my father has limited ability to interact verbally and physically, the team at Ashton Grange treat him with kindness and respect. He is always well fed, clean and shaven. It is reassuring to walk away after a visit knowing he is in good hands. All the team, no matter what their position, always
engage in conversation with me. This is a friendly, relaxed environment.

Mum has lived at Ashton Grange since April 2014 and although initially anxious settled in fairly quickly with the help of the staff. She enjoys the company of the other residents and "feels safe and looked after". There are numerous activities each day which she participates in when she wants to.
Residents
are given the choice to do what they feel happy with and are not pressurised to join in activities, go to bed at a certain time etc. Family and friends can visit anytime. Mum has been ill on occasions and lost her appetite but the staff have patiently encouraged her to eat with food choices and smaller meals so not to overwhelm her with food. The staff are brilliant but staffing levels are sometimes a concern.

My Mother has been in Ashton Grange for 4 1/2 years. She has Alzheimers Disease, arthritis and heart failure. She is doubly incontinent and now bedridden. She is also prone to chest infections, as soon as she shows symptoms of that, or anything out of the ordinary, a doctor is called. At all times her
comfort and dignity are respected. She is treated with kindness.
As far as any Alzheimer's sufferer can be, my Mother is happy in Ashton Grange. I am happy she is there, knowing she is well cared for.

Staff are lovely and approachable. If there are any issues they are all dealt with quickly. My wife has a wonderful relationship with her carers.

My name is Joseph. I am the home manager of Ashtongrange nursing home . I qualified as a nurse and worked in health sector for last 22 years . I have been working in Ashtongrange for more than 8 years .


As a registered manager , I know how important it is for residents and their family members to receive regular information and updates regarding their care and what is happening in the nursing home.


I like to spend time with my residents and this is one of my favourite part of my daily activities at work . I seek regular feedback from family and my team at Ashtongrange so that we can improve the quality of our care .


Outside of work , I like to spend time with my family and friends , cooking and playing football with my son.
