Eastridge Manor is a 52 bedded dual registered care home, providing excellent care to older adults who are experiencing any stage of dementia. Both residential and nursing care is offered in this rural retreat.

This stunning Georgian and Victorian Country House has had two modern extensions added and provides the highest standards of luxurious accommodation with highly trained staff. Significant investment has gone into modern equipment , overhead tracking , electric profile beds wet rooms and bathing rooms in this tranquil countryside position.

The manager and care teams are highly trained and dedicated ensuring each residents happiness and well-being.

The rooms are well appointed and offer every comfort and include a 24 hour call bell system providing both residents and families with peace of mind, large LED TV is in each room.

The home and gardens include private secure gardens with raised planters, fruit orchard and a beautiful landscaped grassed garden surrounding a large well stocked pond. All the outside areas have seating areas, paths for wheelchairs and a wooden summerhouse offering shelter and shade. All residents have access to the secure garden allowing fee passage to walk outside safely without supervision.

Communal areas include two large lounges with comfortable seating and large LED TV, an activities room , (activities range from a health focus with physio exercises to the more fun activities such as arts and crafts, baking, singing and dancing).   

Personal care is available 24 hours a day all year round. Visiting medical services include chiropodist, dentist, opticians and a weekly doctors round. There is a purpose built hairdressing salon.

A varied, well balanced menu is served using fresh produce from local suppliers. Special diets will always be catered for.

My mother suffered from dementia from 91 and she was cared for by Eastridge Manor until her death aged 96 five years later. I visited her frequently up to the last 18 months when Covid intervened and I had to shield myself. Moving one's mother into care is a big step but I never once regretted the move
to Eastridge Manor. They were so kind and looked after her so well right up to the end. The staff there are lovely and it is always well staffed. I cannot fault the care she received and it was such a comfort during the Covid lockdowns to know she was being so well cared for and with such affection. It is a lovely place and my memories of my mother's last years are very happy ones. A huge thank you to all the staff there.

Nothing is too much trouble for Dad; he feels very much at home there and the staff really make him feel included, tailoring their approach to his needs and personality. When dealing with me, family members and friends, they are always completely caring, understanding and helpful. It’s a huge weight
off my mind knowing that Dad is cared for, receives attention and is occupied, which is something I’d struggle to do myself.

My mother spent four and a half years at Eastridge Manor and the standard of care she received was exemplary throughout her whole time there. Their particular strength is the quality of staff - professional, compassionate, infinitely patient and caring. We looked at a number of other homes and the initial
selection was based on what we perceived as the quality of the management, the setting and also some recommendations from friends who had parents there. What you come to appreciate over time is that the care your parent receives is almost entirely a function of the staff who work there which is hard to gauge on an initial visit. This is where Eastridge excels and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone considering residential care for a loved one.

On a recent visit, I was most impressed with the staff's attentive care for all the residents, not just my mum. They seem to know just what each individual resident likes and needs and tailor their care accordingly. The environment is always clean and to a high standard and the residents are encouraged
to be engaged and genuinely care for. I am so happy that my mum is one of these fortunate residents.

All staff here are caring and considerate of the residents. They are all polite and chatty when I visit. The home looks clean and inviting and has a happy atmosphere. The food looks and smells delicious. If anything happens ie a fall or similar, which is not often, I am informed straight away.

My mother has been a resident at Eastridge Manor for 7 months and she has settled into life at the home well. Caring for elderly patients, many of whom suffer from dementia, is difficult and the general standard of care has, in this context, been good. My mother is safe, secure and looked after by staff
who do seem to care for the residents. There are areas of potential improvement ie not sending residents unaccompanied to hospital if emergency care is required.

The staff have been approachable and helpful. The Manager has been happy to listen to any questions and quick to ensure queries are answered and where appropriate, fully explained. However, some laundry, although named tagged, seems to go 'on holiday' as some skirts have taken up to 2 weeks to be returned.
Overall, the care of my aunt has been very good.

I would like to see more activities at the weekend as well as exercise for the more able-bodied, every day. Also visiting dogs would add interest. Food is good and appreciated. Sometimes difficult to locate a Carer for toilet help, especially weekends. Any anxieties are dealt with sympathetically and
helpfully and nursing staff are ready to deal with problems efficiently.

My parents have both been cared for at Eastridge Manor, each requiring different levels of care.
The home is extremely well run and the ratio of staff to resident is high which ensures that the care received is very good.
The staff, both management and carers, are kind and very caring and residents
are treated in a dignified manner.
The food is outstanding.
Eastridge Manor is also set in acres of land, which is very well looked after and we will look forward to using the gardens in the summer.

My Mother has been a resident at Eastridge for some five years. The staff have always been caring, supportive and considerate to both my Mother and our family. I have been very impressed with the effort staff members make to ensure that we all feel welcome when we visit and that they are genuinely
interested in our feelings and any concerns we might have.
For our family, agreeing for my Mother to enter a nursing home was one of the most difficult and upsetting decisions we have had to make. We can leave Eastridge after our visits in the certain knowledge that she is safe, cared for and respected both as a resident and as part of the Eastridge community.

When I was looking for a nursing home for my mother, I saw 9 other homes before I visited Eastridge Manor. I wish I had visited it earlier because it would have saved me a lot of time. My visit to check it out over 5 years ago went very well, nothing has changed (except refurbishment and a new lift.)
The staff were all very friendly and attentive and at the time I felt happy that my mother would be staying there. As she had a severe stroke, Mum has a number of healthcare needs and requires attention from the staff regularly each day. The carers always ensure that she is included in daily activities even though her input is minimal and I never feel anxious that the provision of her needs and care will be less than excellent. The information and contact that I receive is always timely, on a regular basis from the nursing and admin staff. My mother is happy, contented and cared for extremely well. I would recommend that anyone looking for a nursing home should visit Eastridge Manor.
