Prinsted Care Home offers nursing and residential care and is ideal for both long and short-term stays, providing person centred care delivered by a team of highly trained individuals.

The home has two floors, with residential care provided on the ground floor and nursing care on the first floor.

The home also offers two assisted living lodges within the grounds of Prinsted Care Home for individuals or couples who do not require 24-hour residential care but may be becoming socially isolated and needed reassurance someone was on hand, if needed. The lodges offer modern facilities to maintain independence. With a large, open planned lounge and dining area to host friends and family, kitchen area to prepare meals, large bedroom with electronic bed looking onto the beautiful gardens and spacious bathroom with shower facilities; they've thought of everything.

Refurbished to suit professional care practice and an active lifestyle for residents, clients will find much to interest them, while loved ones are made to feel welcome upon visiting.

All provision is tailored to personal care objectives while residents are able to enjoy secure outdoor areas and many additional features, including a quiet front room, dining areas looking out onto the beautiful gardens and a homely environment for all to enjoy.

Fees are inclusive of all care, hotel services and accommodation. Hairdressing, chiropody, taxis, staff escorts, shop items and newspapers incur additional charges. Weekly physiotherapy is included in the fees.

We can signpost you to the appropriate advice and support to ensure individuals are receiving all entitlements, including attendance allowance, funded nursing care, etc.

Our Group Manager, Melanie, has worked in the Care Industry for 22 years, starting as a Support Worker and undertaking training to progress her career to Registered Manager.

Melanie is customer-focused and has a passion for continuously improving the service provided through staff development and quality systems. Melanie has an excellent understanding of older people and prides herself on good working relationships with care professionals and service users' families.

As Group Manager, Melanie manages both Springfield and Prinsted with the support of an established Management team.

Mirela Constantin

Job Title: Deputy Manager/Clinical Manager

Joined: 2014

Mirela has worked for Springfield Health Services since 2014.

She is an experienced RGN and her clinical knowledge, together with her compassionate nature is invaluable to the residents and staff team.

Overall Experience

The care home is well managed and an ideal environment for my mother who suffers from dementia. The staff are friendly and helpful and are always prepared to go the extra mile for the residents. The staff make my mother very welcome, she admires their friendliness, their smiles and their helpfulness.

I would recommend the home to others as a place where I know my mother, as other residents are well treated and respected. She is very happy there.

The stay at Prinsted Care Home was too short since I needed care to recover from a broken femur. I have not had any reason to complain. It not only suited my needs but all of the staff were caring, considerate and happy in their work as well as being efficient.
