I would like to say that my mother since being admitted to The Old Malthouse has always received the utmost care and attention and of a good quality. Although her dementia has somewhat gradually increased over the last couple of years, her longevity is a testament of the care and help that she gets
on a weekly basis. I certainly would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment for the great work that they do.

We chose this home after visiting many others in the area as it had a lovely atmosphere, all the residents appeared happy and there were daily activities for them to do. The rooms were homely and the staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Unfortunately Mum’s dementia got worse very quickly and by

the time we organised the placement she was in a terrible state. The staff were wonderful; despite Mum’s unfortunate demeanour they were patient, calm and kind. Mum had stopped eating and drinking for us but the staff in the home spent a lot of time encouraging her to eat and drink and trying different approaches and different types of food and drink in order to do so.

We cannot thank the home enough for all their hard work and the support they gave us whilst Mum was a resident.
