Originally a country home, Pendean House has been transformed and modernised to provide care for people who require nursing and residential care. Care is also offered to those requiring Parkinson's care and palliative care. Short and long-term stays are welcome.

Pendean House is set within its own large grounds, offering tranquil landscaped gardens complete with a sensory garden and patio areas, and pathways designed for wheelchair access.

Elegant interiors feature oak panelling and decorated fireplaces in comfortable and spacious rooms, while all bedrooms come with en suite facilities and a 24-hour call system for peace of mind. A lift ensures easy access to all floors of the home. Residents have access to an onsite library, an optician, a nutritionist, reminiscence sessions and relaxation therapy.

As an enhanced service to residents, weekly GP visits are conducted at Pendean House Care Home, enabling residents to receive regular, personalised medical reviews as part of the approach to person-centred care.

Residents can enjoy fresh meals daily whilst enjoying views of the well-kept garden.

Pendean management and staff are just wonderful, all staff. The home is clean, well managed and works well. The care level is so so good. My mother was a resident for nearly 2 and a half years. I cannot find a single fault. The care of the nurses and the compassion they demonstrated is way beyond the
call of duty. I cannot thank everyone enough.

We have a beautiful room available with views over the garden, the room is very light and spacious with plenty of room for an integrated sitting room. The home benefits from a large en-suite wet room and there is additional space for a small walk in wardrobe

Job Title: Home Manager

I am the Home Manager at Pendean House Care Home, I came into my role in 2023. I oversee the management and the running of the home to a high standard.


I have worked in the care sector since 1998, starting as a Qualified Nursery Nurse. I had the opportunity to set up facilities for Learning Disabilities and Mental Health provisions from scratch. It has always been my priority to provide a warm, caring and person-centred environment to every resident and member of staff.


The part of my role that I enjoy the most is making a difference to everyone in their own way. A simple smile or hug, warm cup of tea or chat with a listening ear can make the biggest difference to someone's day.


I am a single parent of two young children (7 and 9). I relocated from Essex to Littlehampton in May 2023 to be nearer to my parents. The move has been a life changer for me and my children. We love swimming, walks, BBQ's and spending time with friends and family.

I am the Financial Administrator at Pendean House.


I gained my AAT qualification back in 1997 whilst working for WSCC but as soon as I passed, I changed careers and became an IT Engineer. I was working for a media company based in London before taking up employment with Farnborough College of Technology and then Guildford College. Having had enough of the daily commute I looked for something more local and took a position supporting a global company that dealt with student accommodation. The IT department was then outsourced, and my employment was moved to the new contractors. The outsourcing contract was terminated in September 2023, so I then started to look for local employment hence I now find myself working for the lovely Pendean House.


I love coming into the home and seeing a variety of people from residents to my colleagues -everyone has a different experience to tell you about.


I live literally 5 minutes down the road. I make my own jewellery -nothing fancy mainly costume and purely for myself as my taste may not be for everyone.

Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

I am a Senior Care Assistant at Pendean House as well as an Engagement Champion and Fire Trainer.


When my dad died from cancer his care wasn't the best. I started working with a home care agency and later came to Pendean in the hope I could make a difference in people's lives.


What I love most about working at a care home is that every day is different and I have the privilege of assisting our elderly residents in their day-to-day life at Pendean House.


Outside of work, I am mum to 5 amazing children and I am slightly animal crazy! My dream is to swim with pigs in the Bahamas!
