In three months, my severely demented mother has become safely and happily oriented at Russettings. She is clearly at ease in the lounge living area and garden, enjoys the food and takes part in the many and varied activities and special events. The staff are caring and constantly engaging, and her
physical care is on track despite some initial stumbling blocks in the first weeks (hearing aids and clothes). My family are relieved that we have found Russettinfs and have confidence in its team.

We came along to Russettings summer party - a good time was had by everyone. There was a young lady singer, who was very good and sang appropriate songs for the audience.
Also, some alpacas were brought in to see the residents; they were very well-behaved.

We would like to thank you all for looking after our uncle for the two years he was with you. He loved living at Russettings and felt very much at home. He was extremely proud of his room.
When we began to look for a nursing home, we were advised to look for a place where he would feel secure and
loved, and we could not have found better.
He very much enjoyed all the fun, dancing and activities, the views down the field and being in the garden with his girls. He was particularly happy to have his fun and banter with your head housekeeper, and we know this was reciprocated.
Thank you again from his family for all your love and care. We know he would love to say thank you too.

Excellent home. Great staff; sensitive to any requests, great with communication, discreet, maintain dignity of patients and have a lovely 'warmth' and caring attitude. Very good communication, always contactable with easy access to Mum and the home. Frankly, a fantastic home and one to be very proud

This is the second time I have eaten with my dad at the home, on both occasions, I have been very satisfied with my meals. I have the vegetarian option. Very well seasoned and not seasoned with spices, as most vegetarian food is.

I was invited to a coronation tea with my mother at Russettings. On arrival, we were shown to the dining room where the tables were set out with decorations and flags to make it special. We were presented with a cream tea for two which was delicious and the service was great. I have a lovely time with
my mother.

I came for the afternoon Easter tea. A very pleasant experience and the staff and particularly the activities team made a very good success of the event. The room was all decorated with Easter theme which added to the occasion. The afternoon tea was delicious with a nice selection of cakes, scones,
hot cross buns and sandwiches.
The well-presented newsletters each month are a nice way to keep us informed of the activities available to the residents.

Mum sadly passed away late last week but my positive comments about the home still stand and even more so after their fantastic support for both Mum and our family in the days leading up to and after Mum's passing. Right from the management down, everyone has been wonderfully kind and supportive. We
visited Mum daily in her last days and there were always care staff on hand helping and comforting Mum. Even at the end, which can't have been long after my last visit, there were several members of staff with her, so Mum was never alone. I'd like this opportunity to thank all the staff again for all their kindness and support. Dementia is a horrible disease but I know that if Mum could have expressed herself, she too would have wanted to thank them all for making her last years as comfortable as possible. If care, respect and kindness are top of your wishes when looking at a home for a loved one then Russettings should be your choice.

Father with advancing dementia, who has not been the easiest of residents to contend with at times. The most important factor for my family and I is the staff. Got to know many during my visits. The level of care they provide is first class. I don’t know how they do it, I can’t speak highly enough of
them. Especially coming through the Covid pandemic. Incredible people really. Big hearts with big responsibilities. The dedication and kindness they’ve shown to my Dad, family and I has been immense. I have no hesitation recommending Russettings Care Home and hope my review helps others who naturally, like us, were faced with that most terrible decision i.e. putting our dearly loved Dad into care when we could no longer care for his daily needs. Thank you to the manager and team, from the bottom of our hearts.

My father was admitted to Russettings, via the NHS, after being rejected by three other so-called “Care Homes” because of his dementia. It has become apparent that he needs a very high level of individual care, and the nursing team and their colleagues at Russettings have stepped up to the mark. At
a recent online meeting, representatives from both the NHS and Social Services commented on the excellent quality and detail of the nursing team’s records. We are very pleased with Russettings and their care and professionalism, and extremely grateful they accepted my father into their care.

Putting mum into a home seemed like a failure.
As it turned out she was much better off at Russettings Care Home that 4 carers a day attending for 20 to 30 minutes a time.
She had company and was safe. Thank you.

Nikki strives to ensure the effective delivery of high holistic person-centred care in a safe environment.
