Mum has been well looked after and cared for. She is very happy and so are we. All of the staff are welcoming and caring. Generally the facilities are adequate but the building, windows etc. i.e. heating could be updated. The new events manager is excellent.

My brother has been in this nursing home now for a number of years. His care has been exemplary, particularly now as he is bed-bound. Visitors are encouraged as were his trips out when he was more mobile. He mostly feels content and is secure in the knowledge that he knows and is well-known amongst
the management staff.

My husband has been a resident at Westhampnett House Nursing Home for 4 years. He needs around-the-clock nursing due to numerous medical needs after an acquired brain injury in 2017. The previous places had looked after him but it was when he moved to Westhampnett that we as a family felt he had arrived
somewhere that saw him as a patient but more importantly to us as a person and part of their family. He has weakened in the four years but with every issue the manager and staff have supported him in a kind and caring way and given us total confidence in all they do for him. We always get information about any changes to his care and whenever there have been any medical emergencies we are notified immediately with gentle professionalism and reassurance. His room, like the rest of the care home, is always clean and welcoming and the staff are always friendly and very caring towards him and us. This is so important as we always appreciate that in many ways his life is in their hands.

All staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The home is impeccably clean and tidy no matter when I visit. My wife looks cared for and comfortable.
Although the building itself is old, it is well-kept and in good condition.

My husband has been a resident at Westhampnett House Nursing Home for over two years, having suffered a major cerebrovascular accident (CVA) in 2019 with resultant hemiplegia, accompanied by severe aphasia which affects his efforts to communicate and frustrates him hugely.
Over time, my husband has
gradually settled, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the staff to try to understand him and make him feel safe and comfortable. Westhampnett House has indeed become his home and I am deeply grateful to the manager, not only for the high standard of care by her professional, caring staff but also for keeping me apprised and supporting me along the way.
Certainly Westhampnett House lives up to its already good reputation and I recommend it highly.

What a dump! Our mum was only here for a few weeks before she moved to a lovely nursing home. Mum was given the same meal for lunch and evening for eight days! Her teeth were never cleaned. Her bed sheets were often dirty having been top to toe after Mum had spilt her tea on them. One day her sheets
were badly torn. Mum's fingernails were cut by staff so short they were bleeding. Prescription medication was left on Mum's chest of drawers. Carpets are badly fitted and were lifting in many areas causing a trip hazard. Blankets were laid on the floors often, causing another trip hazard. No activities or staff interaction. I could go on. I have many photos.

Regarding food, we have a weekly menu offering varied, nutritious meals. Our chefs work diligently to meet residents' preferences. The incident with your mum's fingernails was immediately addressed at the time, and we apologised directly to you and your mum. We now exclusively use nail files to ensure residents' safety and comfort. All medications are securely stored and administered by trained staff following strict protocols. Your specific concerns were thoroughly investigated to confirm compliance. During renovations, resident safety remains a priority. Hazards are promptly reported and addressed by our maintenance team. We now have a dedicated activity coordinator providing group and individual activities to meet all residents' needs. We value feedback and strive to resolve concerns. Thank you for helping us improve our services.

Overall excellent care, all staff treated my sister with dignity and respect during the last two months of her life. I, as a visitor, was always welcomed with a smile and made welcome. All staff were polite and helpful. The areas I saw at Westhampnett House were always clean and tidy. The home was warm.
I am very thankful my sister spent her end day there.

Mum has received the most care and love we could ever have wished for. The leadership team have been attentive to all her needs and supported us with advice and care, making us always feel welcome and cared for as if we were residents too! They cared for Mum with a very strong, happy, positive and friendly
team, as if she were the only resident. Going above and beyond, including accompanying her to go and play bridge with her local group and accommodating all tea and cake for her bridge friends each Friday afternoon.

My mother was so looked after in her 5/6 weeks in Westhampnett House. The final week being end-of-life care. Nurses and carers were always attentive and caring for mum and we, her family as visitors were always supplied with drinks and whatever we needed. All questions were answered fully.

Prior to my mother-in-law arriving at Westhampnett House Nursing Home I visited the home (without an appointment) and I was greeted by the manager who promptly showed me around including the room that would be hers. My mother-in-law was made very comfortable at all times. All the staff were fantastic
and had the utmost respect for her and my husband. A massive thank you to you all.

The home was identified by social care for my father's end-of-life care. The manager encouraged me to visit ahead of agreement and was welcoming. A lovely old building, but with the facilities to care. My father's room was very pleasant and felt like a normal bedroom, rather than a sterile environment.
Unfortunately, my father was only at the home for 3 days before he passed, but the staff treated him and me with such kindness.

The experience that my brother and I went through whilst our mother was a resident in Westhampnett House Nursing Home was one of relief and gratitude. Relief that our mum was treated with dignity, and kindness, which is all you can ask for during such difficult times, and gratitude that our mums leg
sores were taken care of, even though the hospital were unable to help them heal. Our mum was not the easiest resident to care for, she spoke her mind which quite often would appear very rude, however, this was due to her not wanting to be in any residential home, let's face it, who does? The Manager (she knows who she is) and the staff were to say the least, heroic. My brother and I attempted to care for our mum for a couple of weeks, with the help of morning and evening carers, but in the end we found it impossible. Westhampnett did the job that we couldn't and went that extra mile to make mum feel love and affection. Thank you all at Westhampnett, we both appreciate all you did for our mum. Kind regards...

My nan was a resident here for 23 years and was well looked after, the manager really knows her residents. Right up until she passed the home had my nan's best interests at heart. My nan was very happy here. After all, it was her home for so long!

My mum was on end-of-life care and from the hospital was transferred to Westhampnett House Nursing Home. From the moment she arrived, she had the warmest of welcomes. Her care 24 hours a day was outstanding. All the staff from the management, carers, the cook and cleaners gave 101% into their day to
make every resident comfortable, clean and made to feel special and loved. Mum passed with amazing care and love, Really can't thank everyone enough.

The home manager and staff all cared for our father with such kindness and dignity. He was always cleanly shaved, washed, dressed smartly and well looked after. He commented on the excellent food too.
We would highly recommend Westhampnett House, especially after hearing awful stories about other local

I highly recommend Westhampnett House Nursing Home. From the moment my father arrived after a lengthy stay in hospital, his well-being improved. This is because of the expert, compassionate care he received, in a calm, friendly environment. He was always kept clean, comfortable, well-fed and treated
with complete dignity. This was very important to him and to our family and was very reassuring for us all. We are extremely grateful to the wonderfully dedicated nursing manager, her deputy and the whole care team for everything they did for my father - and for looking after my mother and me too!

My mother was a resident at the home for some eight and a half years. She passed away peacefully in her room on the 5th of May. The manager and all the wonderful staff at Westhampnett House Nursing Home gave my mother the most attentive, kind and wonderful care. They also supported me when things were
difficult due to my mother's dementia. I can't speak highly enough of the friendly and professional care at Westhampnett.

I was extremely nervous being referred to a nursing home, especially as my care was complex. However, I felt completely reassured once I was introduced to the staff and my room. Led by a very competent sister/manager, deputy nurse manager, whose team of nurses, carers, cleaners and catering staff were
the best in my long and varied experience of care I have ever met. They worked brilliantly as a team, nothing was too much trouble. I could go on and on. Head of nurse/sister/manager and her deputies lead a wonderful team by example of dedication, care throughout such hard times, Covid outbreak, norovirus, they worked tirelessly so hard and maintained amazing care. I truly do not know how they managed, everybody pulled together with such kindness and thoughtfulness. I can not thank them enough.

Living abroad and having been restricted to traveling during the confinement period in 2021 I managed to eventually to visit my mother, who has sadly since passed away.
On the very few occasions I was able to visit I found the staff extremely attentive and welcoming. My mother and all the family spoke
highly of the nursing home. One person that will always be in our hearts is the manager, she was Mum's "Angel".
